I like how NCT like always not following the trend (actually SM not following the trend but they are the trendsetter). Like everyone doing retro while they do this 90s hip hop concept
SM did a retro concept in 2016 with SHINee 1 of 1 album. They were also ahead of time with the retro concept.

저는 이 곡이 너무 좋았던게 그냥 레트로로 간 게 아니라 뉴트로로 신선함까지 잡았다는 거였어요 그냥 좀 올드하게 가버려서 이름만 뉴트로고 레트로나 다름없는 음악들도 많았었잖아요 또 최근 몇년간 아이돌들을 비롯한 문화의 전반적인 추세가 뉴트로를 따르고 있었는데, 아이돌들은 한국의 뉴트로를 담았다기 보다는 미국적인 뉴트로를 담았다는 느낌을 많이 받았었어요 그래서 kpop을 잘 살려낸다기 보단 그냥 미국화된 팝송으로 치우치게 되는 걸 많이 봤거든요 근데 엔시티는 8,90년대부터 지금까지 시대를 풍미하고 있는 sm이 과거 자신들의 모습을 이 곡에 담으면서, 당시 전세계에서 유행했던 흐름만 잡은 게 아니라 한국에서 유행했던 흐름까지 두마리 토끼를 다 잡았더라고요 아마도 sm이 이수만, 현진영, 유영진으로 시작해서 hot, 신화, ses 등 과거의 흐름도 만들어왔기 때문에 가능했던 거였겠죠? 개인적으로 다른 건 몰라도 kpop씬 내에서 특히 아이돌 중에 한국적 뉴트로를 이렇게 잘 살린 건 90's love가 유일하지 않을까 생각해요 리액션영상 잘 봤어요!

I feel so proud for NCT when people who's in the music industry are praising them. I just came here after JOONY music reaction (he's also a producer) and he said NCT are at the top of the game, leading this trend but still making it look fresh

Came here straight after Joony's reaction as well..his take from the standpoint of a producer truly be a realization moment to me over how NCT's music is being seen by the k-pop industry itself, particularly in terms of their production, and the ever evolving themes that NCT proven managed to pull off on every comeback, and the way they place vocals strategically without losing the charm of each characteristic of the members, while maintaining that outside of the box style of SM. The boys have come so far, and 2020 is def gon be the year i'd remember as NCT's year, period.

검은 의상 특히,세련되게 90년대 의상 소화시킨 것 같고,안무도 그 때 느낌나게 절도있는 동작이 많아요. 어린 멤버들이라 새로운 스타일의 안무를 배울때 어떤 느낌이었을까 궁금해지네요.
90년대생 시즈니들은 향수를 느낄 수 있어서 좋았던것 같아요 하키복 티저 뜨자마자 신화 열병 뮤비 스쳐갔던 1인ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 인원수도 신화랑 비슷하고.. 학창시절 느낌을 세련되게 재해석한게 누구한테는 추억을 요즘 어린친구들한테는 신선함을 불러일으키는 것 같아요. 섬세한 뮤비 코멘터리 잘 봤습니다. 동질감 느껴져서 더 재밌었네요^^

It feels so wrong to listen to NCT songs without at least an earphone.....it feels like you kinda missed a lot of details in the background ahaha. Anyway great reaction!

@@floramorgan6112 yeah. Not only that. Im a sucker for those layered vocals too. It feels so satisfying to listen to how they managed to make every verses sound " fuller "? I mean, there are some good kpop songs with catchy beats, but the vocals usually feel somewhat empty which shows that they don't really care abt harmonisations or stuffs. But when it comes to NCT and other SM groups, you just can't deny it definitely sounds fuller to the ears. It's like it achieves everything you want for a song

진짜 요새 많이 없는 뮤비 같아서 계속 보는 것 같아요. 뭔가 요새는 뮤직 비디오에 스토리라인을 많이 넣거나 개인 컷이 많은 것 같은데 이번 노래는 뭔가 레트로? 옛날 처럼 적절히 군무랑 개인 컨셉이 잘 섞인 것 같아서 계속 보고 있어요! Sm은 그리고 뮤직 비디오에 군무는 무조건 정면샷을 많이 넣어줘서 너무 좋은 것 같아요 ٩(*˙︶˙*)

I hope that you will react to NCT U's From Home. Its genre is RnB although I doubt that you will react to it bcoz it doesn't have a dance (It shows how powerful SM artists is when it comes to vocals). ANYWAYS THANKYOUUU. They're so popular in korean and other country, they're on #2 brand reputation ranking for korean boy group compare 100 boy group, they're on #3 brand reputation ranking for korean idol group compare 100 idol group, they're #5 brand reputation ranking for korean singer compare 100 idol group, solois and duo. all of nct unit hit #1 melon chart 5 minute right after realise, their album sold 3.7++ Million this year, 90's love mv also trending #4 in korean, kick it the title song of nct 127 crazy popular in korean, they hit #1 on youtube korean after realise and the dance also very popular in korean, kick it also very popular among idol group, there're a lot korean idol cover kick it. Maybe you have to research before comment. And also their album got 1.12 million preorder just first week after SM announce that nct 2020 wanna comeback, and the album sold 1.21 million on first week sale.
In the beginning of their debut, their music is too experimental for GP taste and thus the cold reaction they received when they are debut and haters and antis called NCT Music as Noise. It seem the Korean GP taste is more on cute and bright pop sound.
