I just hit GC1 today, and I love this rank. Teammates are consistent, and they understand the times when I’m trying to force a play in their direction. They can take advantage of small mistakes, and they know how to adapt to their teammates and opponents (for the most part).
This is where the difference clearly shows for me. Two great goals involving very convincing fakes, any player below c3 would've definitely tried to go for a lack lustered shot in both situations
It’s funny to read this. I’m C3 and i try scoring that way more instead of a shot. Except for it doesn’t work for me because I have less car control. Also depends on the opponent. If they ar every aggressive they would just go ball instead of anticipating a shot or anything at all in general. The problem is my brain thinks this is exactly the gameplay of my games yesterday (it definitely isn’t) And I still think 1360 to 1450 is the exact same skill level. It’s interesting. From 1:47 to 2:28 you did not touch the ball once but still had a big impact on the game just from presence. It’s a big learning curve for lower ranked players
i think the best gc1 gameplay i’ve seen so far. i’m gc1 too and i don’t think i play this good. maybe was a peak game dunno but solid. keep up the g work
This gameplay is very validating for me. I play almost the exact same way, but I’m only mid C1 so my car control is exactly there yet. Your teammate here reminds me of my friend I play with. Throwing the ball away needlessly in situations where it could be controlled. Which bums me out because I’d hoped by GC teammates would understand the value of possession lmao
@@theoofer478I do play that way minus the mechanics. but everyone makes mistakes and I’m not as consistent as I’d like. It’s just fundamentals. I try to go as long as possible without committing, I never challenge as last man, and I do whatever I can to give my teammate an easy touch. I hover around C1div3-div4 which i feel is decent considering I have no mechanics whatsoever.
@@LigglesHoneycut He didn't even play mechanically in this game. I argue that wave dashes and speed flips are fundamentals at higher ranks. Just so you know, I am also GC I.
@@theoofer478 he didn’t play mechanically but the way he played is still more mechanical than I am, which is why I’m reiterating that I’m very happy with being a high C1 with my dogturd car and ball control
@@alegvg going for boost only covers one very specific option: the ball going to that very corner. But cheating up, softly, can cover multiple options. You can take control if the ball dies, you can take the ball if it goes to the side wall, you can save the ball if it goes back (hence the SOFT cheat) and you can still cover the ball if it goes to the back corner.
@@alegvg you’re C2 and your advice for a D1 is to just go for boost on kickoffs? In my experience, balls don’t “go back”. They go high or shoot out to the sides. Or they just kind of die in the middle of the field. Which makes a soft cheat the answer for most ranks. But once you hit Plat 2 or 3, you’ve got teammates all attempting the speed flip and missing the ball completely. So if you’re in the back corner getting boost, your net is wide open. At least if you’re cheating up and that happens, you can go for a block. I’m close to C2 myself and even in C1 the kickoffs are fairly inconsistent

Im C2-C3 and i would say thats pretty much the gameplay we are at, a year later. People have gotten so good at this game. Ill never hit GC at this rate.
1:26 was a little bit of a toss, but other than that pretty solid gameplay 👍. I notice some other small mistakes too, but that’s just because I coach a lot of people and watch replays often. I didn’t want to be a negative Nancy or anything. If it’s true you used to be C2 then Congratulations you have improved a lot so you should feel good about that. Keep up the good work👍

Thats what happens when all 4 players are solid. Nobody is allowed to perform any spectacular movement or mechanical dribbles. Solid defense on both sides

The second was actually a mistake, the right side of the net was completely open for a goal.
Also the first goal wasnt a fake, he just took advantage of poor positioning by the opponent

Out of interest is it worth cheating up in dia 1 cuz kickoffs are really inconsistent down here
