    Lilly, I'm a white woman my first fridge was 25 years old and the handle came off, so instead of getting another second hand one, he got a screwdriver as a handle and had opened the fridge with a screwdriver. After the divorce, I finally bought my first fridge in 2016! Women can buy fridges, I loved that new fridge I got so much backlash for wanting a new fridge and stove? to be "minimalist" to "work so poor" forget the noise they tell you and don't beat yourself up over it. But is a Canadian immigrant in the US, an immigrant immigrant like it’s not the same hustle. She came from a country with free healthcare and benefits to a country with no healthcare and benefits that’s like a step down to be honest.

    • @pradeep128
      @pradeep128 5 лет назад

      amal zuhair life’s all about choices you know. Canada may have free healthcare but the entertainment industry is an absolute joke. Hence her and many Canadians end up the USA. Living in Canada, she would not have made nearly as much money as she is now, hosting such a useless show. She had a big enough following on her RUclips channel in Canada that if moving to USA was a step down, she would never have done it. Still she takes jibes at the USA every chance she gets. Hypocrite.

    As a westerner, I was truly amazed, scared sh**less, and impressed at traffic in India. The fact that street lights, stop signs, which side of the road one drives on, any traffic rules are merely suggestions. And yet amidst the insanity of blaring horns, ( signaling Hey Dude, I’m passing you) in this traffic dance, no accidents!
    That said, on the two lane road from Haridwar to Rishikesh, the local government decided, it was time for road construction. Okay, makes sense, Two lanes, down to one lane, ah but a cow decided it this one lane was the perfect spot to lie down and take her afternoon nap. In case you didn’t know, everything stops....for India’s Sacred Cows. So... a mile long traffic back up, ( kinda like the LA freeway, or I 95) and no one is moving, ten minutes, half hour, okay forty minutes, ( and this where Jugaad comes in) several guys step up, get out of their cars, Tuk Tuks, and off a motorcycle, grab some discarded planks by the work site, throw them over a drainage ditch, and begin directing traffic around off the road, avoiding the cow, the work site, creating a make shift detour. Cow is happy, people are happy, the traffic dance moves on. 🙏😁

    I don’t know why she keeps bringing up that she’s Indian. She is a born and bred Canadian. Her Indian connection is only through her parents. She has absolutely no idea what it means to grow up Indian, and keeps bandying about stereotypes that helps no one! Please, be proud of the nation that gave you everything, instead of tying yourself to a country that you’ve never lived in, just because it makes better TV/ content!

      Mohamed Faizan It seems that it’s because being of Indian descent has forced her to have a different perspective on things. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to tap on my white friends and ask them if x thing was a white people thing. Also, from what I’ve observed, the darker you are when you’re surrounded by whiteness, the more you cling to whatever heritage makes you like that. This is because you are already being marginalized and being treated differently for it so it’s a form of reclaiming it.

      Karina Gutierrez hey yeah I get what you are saying and I don’t deny it either. I’m an Indian myself, and am very happy to see Indian representation. But it’s also quite irritating when you see the word “Indian” being claimed by people who have never grown up here, and whatever they think they know is only second hand knowledge. It’s coloured by their parents’ experiences which itself is decades old and not even relevant today. The stuff she keeps harping as Indian are such stereotypes and borderline offensive - because she herself doesn’t know what real India is like. I feel like it’s nothing but cultural appropriation for better ratings. You can forgive immigrants for having a longing for their home country (though it was a choice to leave), but their second generation? No way. She’s as much Indian as Justin Bieber.
