  • John and Mike are two Janus Halcyon owners who went to school together, lost contact, and then re-connected over their love of their Halcyon 250s. Here they discuss their entire Janus experience, from how they first heard about Janus, what it's like to order, own, and ride a Halcyon 250 motorcycle, and some of their favorite places to ride.

    Very good , I have been wanting to ride there to see these machines in person , I love the retro look , the style , and the over all fit , and finish . I just hope I'm not let down , when I get to see one up close , and personal . This was a good video , should have been drinking a porter while talking . Thanks for sharing .

    After watching these videos I had no trepidation about buying a motorcycle that I had never ridden or seen in the flesh. So much care in the making of it. Deposit on a 450 has been payed, I'm looking forward to riding next spring.

    Wow!! Having breakfast this morning I built the guts to talk to my significant other about possibly getting a motorcycle since I work in the city now and parking is always a challenge. Looking for cheap used small displacement bike on FB marketplace and came across an add for this bike and boy I’m HOOKED!! Called right away and left a message. Looking forward to hearing back from you guys!

    Thanks for this review. I have been searching for a “ride” review from a long term rider like Mike. 67 years here, riding since 11 Honda Cub 90, Harley Heritage Softtail, Kawasaki Classic 1700, Victory Kingpin, 1971 Suzuki 300 two stroke, Suzuki Dr650, Triumph Bonneville, Triumph Rocket III (better than sex). My dad rode hard tail Harley in the 30’s. Said is different, maybe better for some. Mike has sold me 😊

    Very cool bike, and the people that make are as well.

    Come on guys, be serious. Who's going to pay $7k for a bike with a 14hp Chinese motor? Sure, lightweight bikes are fun but these are for hardcore hipsters rather than serious motorcyclists. The designs are really cool except that the Honda clone engine looks completely, utterly out of place.

    7:18 "Jackie would send me pictures of the progress of the building of my bike - I think I was more excited about seeing that than the ultrasound of my two kids". First - Ha ha ha ha ha! Second - OMG man! That is something you think, and it's probably true, but you don't actually say on a RUclips video for posterity. (Happy wife, happy life.)
    A bit sales videoish, but good on ya! It is definitely one cool bike and I wish Janus success. I've definitely got the wants. ;-)

    Gas tank holds how much ? WHat is the touring range ?? Love the Earl Forks relative in the front .

    • @forrysc
      @forrysc 5 лет назад +2

      Right around 2.4 gallons. I think they are EPA rated @ 70mpg but in real world riding figures you average around 50mpg. So your safe range is around 100 miles per tank.

    $600.00 Chinese motor on a $7,000 bike? Something is wrong here! Looks nice but a cheap engine is all wrong! For $1500.00 you can get a Hawk Motorcycle delivered from Amazon with a similar engine! A lesson in marketing.
