    Hey Greg, well done on your choice of bike! You're absolutely right, there isn't much content about the AJP PR7 on U-Tube and what there is, is either in the wrong language or just plane sucks. Look forward to hearing all about it in your future posts and in the mean time, Keep Safe!

    I have fallen in love with these bikes from the first time I saw them, really exactly what I want for the type of riding I enjoy doing. Unfortunately I have been moving around too much in the past few years on work projects so I can't get one yet 😭

    WOW! Surprised at how quick the CB got picked up. You got it! Awesome. I'm keen to learn how it fair on the all-round unicorn spot. As mentioned previous vid I'm also in the process to swap my CB RRaid for PR7. Already I've made peace with the fact that it's not a commuter. All the other fun stuff will have to make up for it. I think the real story behind PR7 is how little one has to do aftermarket. No long-distance tank, no seat concept, no wider footpegs, almost no tip-over protection.

    Oh, you lucky man! You’ll put that to good use I’m sure, so it couldn’t go to a better garage (or house?)! Love it, what a stunning machine, and you get to do the final assembly and PDI - couldn’t be better in the lockdown. But what a temptation to ride. I took my bike out for a little “close to home - essential transport” yesterday, and it felt great after not riding for 6 or 8 weeks. Look forward to more on the AJP. Les

    AJP quality ride. Moto Scotland had a fleet of them before they sadly went bust. Spain in July, can't see that happening as Spain is not doing tourism until next year.
    Look forward to your inaugural ride. Stay safe mate. :)

    Greg, really pleased to see you took the plunge with the PR7...I am so pleased with mine, and like you my TET trip is on hold for now, but this is a very competent bike
    and I'll be really interested to hear your thoughts on it when you've had a chance to ride it.
    I'm experimenting with tyre choice at the moment now we are allowed to ride again solo or as a group of two in the UK. So far, and in my humble opinion this is what has been discovered ...
    The stock TKC80's are a fantastic road/ touring tyre but you're buggered fairly quickly if it gets a bit slippery off road, but they work remarkably well if it's dry on rocky / sandy terrain. I've tried some Metzeller MC360 mid hards pre lockdown over Winter and they have lots of mileage potential but have the feel of a block of wood and no give on the sidewall....so the current "long distance 80/20 off/on road" option I'm testing are a Mitas C21 yellow stripe front and a Mitas EO9 rally rear ( not the Dakar compound one ).
    Wish it was possible to attach some pics to this thread.....

    Congrats!!. It is great out of the box but while you are at it: upgrade the headlight. The standard H7 light is not very good. Especially at night and in the rain.

    Looking forward to seeing how this bike goes, very tempted to get one of these to be my adventure bike, already have a dual sport but tempted by more power on a frame with solid wind protection.
    Fingers crossed you can go out riding soon. I'm lucky where I am we are still able to ride as in my state/territory we are getting close to 0 infected.

    Two things. Greg, I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for a while. Given the quality of your videos, which more or less must be up there with the best of RUclips, I can’t fathom why you don’t have more followers 🤔.
    Second: until this video came out I had no idea this bike existed. I have been tossing up whether to get a KTM 450/500 or similar. I look forward to what people like you have to say about this, looks like this bike could be a contender..
    Great content, thanks.

    I hope I'm wrong...but i'm afraid that july won't be the right time to come to Spain. The gobernment only works to keep their place, not to stop the pandemia... so sorry.

    Far too shiny and lovely to throw down a trail.... 😄🤭 That first time will be so tearful ... but I just refer to all my damage as great memories. Sorry for you that you cant get out and try it buddy.... bit like my story.... haven't ridden in 4 years... got my mojo back.. got bike prepped, taxed insured, mot'd.. and the very next day was Lock Down.... dohhhhh. Our day will come buddy.... sooner than you think.
    Stay safe... stay well

    Thanks Greg, I enjoyed this vid! Those footpegs are proper 😁 How do you find the seat height? There's tons of content about the T700 and KTM 790 Adv, so it'll be refreshing to get a perspective on owning a PR7 👍

    • @GregVillalobos
      @GregVillalobos  4 года назад +1

      Seat height is fine. I'm used to tall bikes. Would be a stretch if it was your first dirt bike and you were a shortie though.

    Great looking adv bike!! what´s your advice for a 5.7 mid 40s newbie rider? Thanks

    • @GregVillalobos
      @GregVillalobos  3 года назад +1

      If you are riding dirt then low weight will help you more than more power. Don't worry about height, I'm the same, just stick with it and you will get used to moving your body to get foot down. Don't expect to be able to get both feet down though.
