I really enjoyed this as my maiden name is Bell and my Great Great Grandfather, John Bell lived in Paisley and learned his trade there before leaving to go to Philadelphia in 1859.
It is a safe place to live.. It has its rough areas, as all places do, but generally it's quite safe. I must add that I believe the whole of Scotland is a fairly safe place to live.. ;)
Hard to believe when i was s teenager in the 80s Paisley was so Vibrant and bustling. Every shop unit in the High Street was relevant and busy. Last time i was there Empty shops everywhere, plenty of Foreign beggars though 🤷🤷
Quite right, not too many tourists roaming these streets. But worth noting that all who arrive in the region on a plane start their journey in Paisley! ;)
@majesticscotland can't stand tourists. They focus on sightseeing and views more than people, look out the bus window and ignore people right next to them. Not good
My partner is from Paisley. I was wondering, if possible, would you please be able to film some parts of Paisley, such saucel Hill, Mossvale, Shortroods, walneuk church and the black and white cart Rivers.
Sure, am happy to do that for you Lyz! We're typically in the area about once a month, so will make sure I film those parts of Paisley for you on our next trip down.
Hi Lyz, got the footage. :) There's some parts where I'd like to add some music, so as it was on your request, please let me know what genres of music you guys like and I'll finalise the video and publish it soon.
If you have any specific parts you'd like to see let me know and I can record those when I'm in the area again.. and unfortunately I'm not that knowledgable about most of the buildings and places that I walk by, so happy to keep my life, and this hobby, as simple as possible by being quiet and just walking. :)
Born in Royal Alexandra Hospital, my parents married in Paisley Abby. Hurts to be so far from home. Much love from Mexico xx

Really nice, not too touristy. The buildings and statues and parks with it's pigeons are gorgeous.

Wish you well. I knew it Once as a thriving town . God Bless
One of Scotland’s treasures, it needs investment to bring it back to life.
