Man I gotta say I love watching your trivium reactions and your appreciation for the band. They are so epic, amazing songwriters/musicians.
If you ever get the chance to see them live it’s like another level of heavy. 🤘
    Cheers dude. 🍻

If I’m not mistaken, Matt does all the harshes on the albums. All the songs were single worthy, imo

Do singles require a music video to be officially considered a single? I'm sure that they don't, but it's extremely rare for a single to not have a video. Great song tho! One of my favorite Trivium songs.

This was coming back from harsh criticism of their third album, which was basically straight up thrash. They kinda borrowed from that and added to it.
I guess the label didn't have the best confidence in the band.

At the point Shogun was released, Roadrunner was in all sorts of disarray and still hasn't really recovered. They were trying to get different artists from non-metal genres signed, fucking over their legacy artists, and skimping on promotion for bands like Trivium, Killswitch and even Slipknot to some degree.
This song for sure was a single, but because Roadrunner had their heads up their asses round this time, they didn't force edits to make it one.
