      Sir what if the given set of data's was plenty or I mean the numbers were repeated. How can we solve for it. Thank you for the response.

    • @PinoyMathematician

      Same solution as long as it's ungrouped.

    Why we use sample variance and sample standard deviation instead of variance and standard deviation ??

    • @PinoyMathematician
      @PinoyMathematician  2 года назад +1

      if you only get the data from the sample. not from the whole population.

      @@PinoyMathematician so will it be stated in the questions that is population or not ??

    • @PinoyMathematician
      @PinoyMathematician  2 года назад

      yes. it must mention a "sample" or a "population". Otherwise, you assume it to be a sample.

    good day, sir. what is the difference between the ungrouped and grouped data in the measures of dispersion?

    • @PinoyMathematician

      The given in ungrouped data is not in table form.

    how come in some books the formula for varince has it denomenetor as (n) and not (n-1)

    • @PinoyMathematician
      @PinoyMathematician  2 года назад

      You use n if the data is from population, you use n-1 if the data is from a sample.
