When I bought my hamster I purchased a potty with the intent to potty train but she knew what to use it for. Yay. When I got my 2nd hammy, got her a potty, she did not get the hang of it 🤦🏻♀️. I love her just the same. ☺️. Thank you for this wonderful video. 💕
yes! then your hamster will like using the poppy! but not everytime cause the hamster will think that if he use it, he will always get treats and keep sleeping in the poppy or not leaving it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched this video two years ago when I first got my hamster and was able to easily potty train him to pee in the sandbox. It made cleaning the cage so much easier and I honestly think he likes it too. Thank you!

Came back and had baby hamsters everywhere. She chewed thru the plastic cage. The person who gave her to us neglected to mention she could be uh...preggers?!😲🐾😍
Well, I though everyone do that, no? When I was a kid, my hamsters (I had 2, brothers, syrian hamsters) had their own 'toilet' (with litter sand) and 'bathroom' (with sandbath), and they loved sleeping with tissue sheets (the more the better, they had tearing-tissue-party kinda stuff) in their 'shared bedroom'. They lived in a large aquarium full with hamsters toys (since they were escape artists, we found glass aquarium with top cover more safe and easiest to clean than cage, I cleaned it every 2-3 days, and we also scheduled vet check every month. They seemed pretty happy, convenient and healthy before died because of old age, both buried side by side under mango tree in our garden. Dang, I really miss those silly fluffy goofballs. Sorry guys, childhood memories kicked in.
i'm a teenager who literally just adopted their cousin's hamster and even if i've had a phase as a kid and i've researched before, i'm still always around here on yt looking at these fun things.. and to dwindle how often i need to change his litter

I never thought to take the piece of towel or tissue and soak up the pee from the wheel and put it in the potty! Genius. I have a little wheel pee-er and I was wondering how I would ever potty train her!
I tried this method,and used the same litter pearls. My hamster tried to eat them. BUT, I did get a corner potty, added sand, and a piece of peed-on bedding, and it worked! just have to replace the sand a little more often I guess :)
i made an "outhouse" for my hamster with tupperware and popsicle sticks. I put the sand and odor balls in it to get ready to potty train my new hamster and he goes right into it to go to the bathroom and has been going there ever since!
They are very smart, also ferrets, I trained a ferret to go upstairs 25 steps to the room where his cage was to poop and nowhere else in the entire house...so cute.
