That bass player is supreme. That's who really makes this song. You can listen to that bass line and not even notice the guitar making noise. And I've been a guitarist for 35 yrs. (Which is also why I appreciate rhythm section more than flash-in-the-pan solos, which are nice too.)

The P90 pickups Josh used had a great gritty blues sound. You get a fatter tone too when you are using your fingertips like he did for much of his playing.
That poor bassist. One of the most famous blues lines in history and I can hear he nails it, with some improv even but he's barely ever in the shot :( We basists are a poor bunch. No one notices us but make one mistake and EVERYONE can hear it clearly.

Let me first say that it does my heart good to see young kids carrying on the Blues. Very nice playing. Now, for the issue that makes me nuts, why do they have great musicians and then not care about the vocals. So many bands doing this now a days.

These guys are perfectly in sync! Listen- not one missed note or beat, the drumming is also perfectly on time, every single beat. These two guitarists sound like they must've practiced together for months to get this down so perfectly, but they probably didn't rehearse more than a few times,. That's talent!!

I know this was not a competition between the two but I much prefered Jack's lyricism and musicality. One was displaying impressive chops and the other was treating us to a musical experience (brought out by his INCREDIBLE chops). Jack is truly one of the great guitar artists in the world today.
It's fun trying to comprehend the meaning in all the broken-English comments on this video. Kind of cool seeing other cultures discovering and enjoying something so innately American as BB King.
