Most christians don't understand the concept of satan They make him out to be someone who opposes God but actually he is a person created by God for the purpose of playing the role of a prosecutor. At least in Judaism this is what is taught.
The word Satan means adversary or one and or thing that gets in the way and it doesn't necessarily mean a single entity of evil going around causing chaos in the world.

Satan, tempted himself, just like what man does to himself - tempting himself with that he can get from the world. Sometimes (or most of the time - depending on the type of person) an evil spirit is not present to tempt you, You Tempt yourself and then conveniently points an accusing finger on a tempting or seducing spirit that may or may not be present at that time. But the evil desire(s) in your heart are always present and that you decide to follow. This is a hard truth that most people would not accept, but it is absolutely true.

He flatters with his mouth and stands on your neck. He could not have the throne of heaven so he seeks to command his influence upon this world where he is cast down to.

All souls and angels have free choice. That's how a third of the souls in heaven CHOSE to side with him. We have free choice. We were created in their image just as God said. We are here now to practice that and choose sides.

I believe God gave him the choice to decide for himself and he failed the test and corrupted a 3rd of the angels who i believe were also given the choice to stand with God or be deceived by Satan. That same choice was given to Adam and Eve who failed to test with external influence of course. Freewill by itself allows for evil to exist when the heart strays from God who is ultimately pure and all things good.

God gave even angels free will. Lucifer chose to be in competition with God and wanted to be ABOVE Him. Ego and pride fed the competitive nature and God kicked him out.
Ego and pride are functions of fear. Think about that for a moment.

Come on people, stop falling for this stuff. There is no devil, there is no Hell. The "New Testament" is a construct of the council of Nicea, which was an attempt from Constantine to unit all the religions (excluding Judaism) into a single religion in order to single source his military (paying off one religious leader to get soldiers instead of 20).
Read Isaiah 45:7 and then understand who created evil. There is much more to this than we are told and Satan can do nothing save he has permission to do so. If you do not think this is so, read Job, Satan had to ask permission to do anything to Job or his family.

GOD gave Satan free will and Satan ate, that’s right ate from the Tree of Good and Evil. Psalms 78 talks about angels food. Angels have an appearance like humans.. everything in this universe depends on God for their/ it’s sustaining existence. When we get to heaven the river and the tree of life will be there to drink and eat from. Revelation 22…. We are made in Gods image as are the angels- mouth, arms, legs etc in spirit form as well. Even evil angels still have to depend upon God. God says what HE means and means what HE says. Scripture interprets itself if we approach scripture with a child like faith .
