- Timed using in game time (IGT). Ran on the PC version.
This run was completed offline as it was done before I sorted out some stability issues (back on the 12th of May). It is by no means perfect or even mistake free and there are some optimisations left out. I have had my fill of this game (for the foreseeable future) after routing this and doing some runs so consider this a blueprint for someone who wants to further optimise the time.
Every time I watch your video I wanna give it a like once again. I keep re-watching it over and over to understand the subtleties of your strategies. BTW, EVERYONE, during the Leonard fight, to make him not move during reloads, you have to count 6 shots and the let go of every button, press and keep pressing forward and spamming the inventory button (in my case, Start). Once you've reloaded from the inventory, while it exits the inventory, keep the Ready and Fire buttons pressed until the next reload.
I have no idea how people strafe in this game, but fortunately that isn't necessary for the God fight, you just have to stand in that spot, hugging the edge, to avoid her arm hit box (the final boss is a breeze)

I've never used the flashlight on/off strategy before. I guess it gives you more windows to skirt enemies and not get sprung coming round corners.

Impressive skills! And I thought I had it pretty much maxed out back in 2004 when I did my 10 Star haha. I see there was still plenty of room for improvement. And that room where the nurses respawn infinitely is probably something I would have never found out.
Anyways, just wondering why you keep flashing the inventory at 1:06:30 before Memory of Alessa?
Late answer, but, the reason he does that, is because it freezes the in-game time between game/inventory transition, he saves time this way

The katana sword is a must and the gaurd could take on anybody I've started playing on the hardest difficulties now I fear the new gen consoles by their speed will never capture the isolated feel of the original silent hill with their slow ambience ...now we see from behind the shoulders view ...like homecoming .. silent hill is becoming like resident evil ,all action,I hear the next game will be in n first person if silent hills is true...

Buen video amigo, el truco del Respawn de las enfermeras no me lo sabia, pero todavía se me hace muy arriesgado de usar (Sobre todo para los que aun no dominan el bloqueo) y el Counter de la escopeta me parece brutal ya que puedes bloquear y rematar a un perro de un solo disparo y tumbar al suelo a una enfermera con un solo disparo y rematarla con un segundo disparo o un pisotón.
Solo me queda una duda, Para conseguir puntos por matar enemigos cuerpo a cuerpo ¿Es necesario tumbarlos y rematarlos con armas Meele o también se puede tumbar con Armas de fuego y rematarlos con el pisotón?

Why are you specifically killing those one type of enemy? Is it some kind of strategy?
I believe you need a certain number of gun and melee kills to get the full 10 Star Rating

For a 10★ there are a few enemies that you HAVE to avoid to save time, bullets, and life (damage), and some you can just, kill, but respecting the 75/75 kills (shooting/melee)
I guess the yellow means health and green is stamina. What happens when you run out of stamina? I'm sure that she just slows down right?
You start to run slower, but that's noticeable only in the streets,'cause Heather doesn' t sprint inside buildings. Also your melee attacks become slower.
PC version is slow going to options. I always thought I crashed the game.
Hey there, nice run. Got a question about that room at 8:30 - these 4 guys never seem to respawn for some reason which effs up my route. Theyre just not there on my way back. Im playing on Hard/Hard obviously. Could it be because im on ps2? thanks in advance
absdaddy Same goes for me. I think it's an exclusive glitch for the ps2 versions I'm afraid.
i know this is an awful question, but how do you do the "stab attack"? (for example: using the steel pipe on split worm)

If I pause the game or I am at the inventory screen does the counter still counting? and also does this apply to Silent Hill 2 as well?
Inventory menu counts, the main menu does not.
This version of game, is disponible for ps2?

Esta muy bueno solo que yo no soy muy bueno usando el modo normal de movilidad, utilizo el modo libre pero la ventaja que veo es que parece ser mas facil evadir a los monstruos con ese caminado hacia la derecha e izquierda, es muy util las estrategias contra los jefes me pregunto si serviran tambien en extremo x o si se podra incluso sacar 10 extrellas, seria epico.

I am guessing the damage from red hallway after the train doesn't count towards the damage counter? That was a lot of damage right there.

how can change the aim to other monster/target when ure attacking?
Just like you normally would turn Heather left/right but while aiming it switches enemies.

Psycho Xd I think some unlockables could only be unlocked by getting this rank in the ps2 version. Not sure though, just guessing because they removed a few unlockables in the HD remaster and PC version.
The PC version didn't remove any unlockables aside from perhaps a few of Heather's costumes. But in both the PS2 and PC version's cases, getting a 10 star ranking gets you a more powerful Beam Saber and Flamethrower, and should also get you a nice costume too.
@@Mazryonh To be more precise the Beam Saber's length is doubled but the Flamethrower's damage is increased.
