I never know how the bees will build the comb out, but regardless of how they do it, it's ALWAYS amazing and beautiful. Thanks for watching. God's peace Lisa. Mr. Ed
Just another day in Louisiana, partying hard and wrangling bees! Jenny was the superstar on this adventure for sure. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Nice, I keep finding videos I haven't seen, awsome, alot of bees and comb, love how Jenny found the queen twice. Your videos are a treat to watch, always entertaining and a learning experience for everyone.
I was trying to lift the frame and it would not budge. I wanted to show everyone that we indeed did find the queen, or rather Jenny found the queen, but she slipped away......only to reemerge a minute or so later for Jenny to spot again. It was humorous my frantic behavior. Thanks for watching and laughing. God's peace Kelly. Mr. Ed
They looked very gentle, total opposite of the angry hive video I watched the other day, looks like a lovely area there to work in as well. Well done to the young beekeeper spotting the queen.
These are some great bees, very gentle and make a lot of honey. They are going to make an excellent addition to the apiary. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hi Jeff, nice big colony you got there my friend I hope it’s a successful hive by the numbers it should bee and your lady friend spotting the queen was super cool . Thank you Jeff and god bless mate .
These are some great bees, lots of them and very gentle. Jenny has a real talent for bee keeping and her queen spotting ability is outstanding Thank you for your blessing and for watching. God's peace Peter. Mr. Ed
Hi Mr Ed. Thank you for the great video. It was a fair sized colony & I'm glad you were able to get the queen. Hopefully you were able to frame up a good amount of comb & brood.
The entire removal went very smooth as did the framing up and releasing of the bees. It was great to have Jenny find the queen, twice. I always like seeing her for myself. Thanks for watching. God's peace Roberta. Mr. Ed
Wow that was really cool. Amazing how large the hive was, with quite a bit of white comb. Just amazing. So happy y'all found the queen. Amazing that all those people wanted to watch the removal. I guess I would want to too, although with a suit on. Thank you very much. ♥♥♥
This was a very large hive with over 30,000 bees in it, and thankfully, they are very gentle. Not one person was stung during the entire removal....not even me. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
eah, you and Foo Foo! Better keep that girl around for a queen spotter! NICE hive and that WAS a big one. Fine job even if you did have help catching the queen TWICE! Jesus weekend for you and Mom! GBWYall!
I'm asking Jenny to give me and the Rooster lessons on queen spotting, the girl has a real talent! this was a large hive, but wait till you see next weeks hive. Also, Ralph will be there along with Charlie, you know it's going to bee a good one. Thanks for your blessing and for watching Lewie. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff Sounds like a camp meeting on the way and that girl IS good! And you AND the Rooster on the water because he was at LaFrance his last one. Oh well. I'll just take a shower and make believe I was getting malaria all over again. Gods Peace Back Atcha!
I have to admit, I am a bit methodical in my approach to bee hive removals, but I feel it's in the best interest of the bees if I proceed in that fashion. Thank you for your support and for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
The bees are doing GREAT! It's always a bit worrisome to relocate bees, but having the queen, the necessary stores, and a good number of bees, almost ensures the bees survival. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Rowan. Mr. Ed
It was a great day of bee wrangling, and when the queen was found, it made my day. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Laura. Mr. Ed
Don't wait for the recommended videos, sub to the channel and hit the bell and you will get notified each Friday when I post a new one. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
So nice to see you with the diligent bees and the fun you have to wrangle them and to show all the people around you. Thanks again for all your explanations. The comb looks really fresh and tasty. Great Job of Jenny to find the queen twice ;-) Have a nice weekend.
I'm glad that the bees were so gentle ; otherwise, the party might have been spoiled. This is the second time that a young lady has found the queen before you did. You've got some competition besides the Dirt Rooster.
It could have gotten real ugly real fast, but these are some VERY gentle bees. Jenny is a naturally talented bee keeper, and her dad, Richie Rich, taught her well. Until the next one, God's peace Kevin. Mr. Ed
Hi, Jeff, always a pleasure to find a new video by Mr. Ed. New comb is such a beautiful thing! Pure white and a marvel of natural engineering. My name has gotten around and I got a couple of calls for removals this week. I looked at both. One was for a colony in a chimney. It was too deep for me to reach, so I passed on it. The second.was inside of an attic crawl space, and, being inexperienced with cutouts, I passed on it as well. The space it mwah in was too confined for me to be comfortable working in. I would have had no place to go if the colony got agitated. I’m going to leave the tricky ones for someone else until I get more experienced. Washington state requires a contractor’s license if you are going to open up structure, and I have found a local contractor who wants to learn about bees and is willing to help with that part of it if his schedule allows. Swarm season is slowing down here but I reckon we still have a couple of weeks left. In the meanwhile my home yard has filled up. I was fortunate to be introduced to a land owner out in the county who would has given me permission to locate a couple of yards on her property. I moved 8 hives out over the last couple of evenings. The star thistle has yet to open and is abundant in the area. There is yellow clover and canola in bloom now, so I am hopeful for a good honey crop. Your friend, Stu.
Smart, very smart passing on those removals, I would have passed on them as well. Both of them would prove difficult even for someone who has been doing bee removals for a long time. One thing I know for sure, it will cost the homeowners a pretty penny to have those hives removed due to the difficulty of them. Sound like you've got things under control in your apiary, or should I say apiaries, way to go! God's peace Stu. Mr. Ed
I have to admit, I do love living in Louisiana with all its marshes, waterways, rivers, and lakes with both fresh and salt water. The diversity of the landscape is so conducive to a large feral bee population, and I'm in the middle of it all.....I am truly blessed. I am so glad I do not have to deal with bears, I know lots of bee keepers have that problem and it's a tough one to deal with. Thanks so much for watching my bee wrangling adventures, thank you for that. God's peace Lyn. Mr. Ed
The bees are black and yellow, it's just the light that made them appear that way, but it sure does look black and white. Thanks for watching. God's peace Mona. Mr. Ed
You'r very welcome. I've explained the bee vac many times in the past, but since there are so many new viewers to my channel, I decided to give some details on the bee vac. God's peace Mary Kay. Mr. Ed
Yes it was, and VERY large slabs. Some of it was so big, I had to cut it just to remove it without it falling down under it's own weight. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Sharon. Mr. Ed
You know it's going to bee fun when it comes to wrangling bees, but when you throw in a gang of seniors, it may get a bit crazy! Thanks for watching. God's peace Cheryl. Mr. Ed
I'm going to start referring to them that way, it goes right along with bee wrangling. Thanks for that and for watching, party on too! God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
It was deceptively small, but turned out very large. It was due to the fact that the floor boards were so wide, the comb matched it. God's peace Mona. Mr. Ed
Glade you made it from the storm. Your was rite in its path of its raft. No craw fish boil ~ Have you notice bees lives around water? That girl good at spotting queens. Put her to work Gods Blessing
I was very happy the storm was a dud, but it's only the beginning of the season. The girl is a natural bee keeper. Thank you for your blessing and for watching. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Mr. Ed just wanted to let you know that I've enjoyed every one of your videos I'm an old time beekeeper and an old man to go along with it but I have learn so much about bees watching your video and if May say watching the dirt rooster to I took your advice on building a swarm trap I put out two traps and I collected 2 swarms of bees so thank you so much and God bless you
See, even us old bee wranglers can keep on learning if we are open to it. I'm happy to be considered a source of good information, and I'm glad to hear you think enough of me to try it for yourself. Keep on watching and learning William. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Brother Jeff, wow I'm envious! I wish I had your lady helpers! I could use an extra set of sharp eyes to find queens. I've got a hive that I can never find mama in, but I know she's there by the fresh eggs! I've gotten so I rarely bother looking for the queen as long as I find eggs and the hive disposition is calm and everybody happy. Great video and as always, Thank You Jesus...for everything we enjoy. Have a super day and be blessed.
I agree 100%, finding the queen in a hive is not necessary, as long as there is evidence of new brood, you are good to go. If you search for her, there's always the chance you could accidentally kill her. Jenny is one talented bee keeper, her dad taught her well. Thank you for your blessing and for watching. God's peace Mark. Mr. Ed
Enjoy the ride, it's a bumpy one, but oh so much fun! Happy to assist on your journey. Thank you for your blessing and for watching. God's peace Al. Mr. Ed
It's titled "Heaven and Hell," and I found it on RUclips Audio Library. Glad you liked the music, and I hope the video was enjoyable as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Had you mailed out invitations or e-vites? Great freebee education😂 Jenny’s got a great eye for queen spotting. That 628 Dirt Rooster course really paid off😂 I wonder how many bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits it cost her?? 😆 That was a nice active hive. I really enjoyed this one!💕👍😊
No invites were needed, everybody smelled the honey in the air and came running, just like bees. I should have asked her how many pounds of cooked bacon it took to pass the course. My guess is once the Rooster saw how good she was, he asked her not to make him look bad in front of all the other students. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I would not go as far as the poster child, but I do strive to live a life that parallels my faith. The joy I receive from that lifestyle, sustains me to persevere in my efforts. I wish all could know the joy and peace that I have in my heart which is the main reason why I post these videos....and of course to espouse the benefits of the honey bee. Thank you for watching and for your kind words. God's peace Robert. Mr. Ed
What a delight for me to hear that my videos bring peace and joy to those who watch. Thank you so much for watching and leaving your comment. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Such a beautiful hive. The bees should have a wonderful home back at the Abbey. Always love your choice of music which is sometimes fun and sometimes suspenseful. Hope you all weathered the Tropical Storm that came through your area. It weakened and made its way up north here. It was very windy and stormy in my neck of the woods too, lol. Take care and God bless.
Another great bunch of bees for sure, and very gentle. I like to hear when folks like the music I chose for the videos, thanks for that and for watching. I'm glad the storm had no punch to it, but it's just the beginning of the storm season, and I hope we can make it through with no bad ones this year as well. Thank you for your blessing Rose Mary, God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hi Mr. Ed I loved this video, I copied your bee vac from a video you put out a long time ago, it works great. Thanks, Your friend and Idaho bee keeper.
That is so cool to hear you made a bee vac from watching my video, way to go! I'm glad to bee able to assist in helping your bee wrangling adventures. Keeping bees in Idaho has to be challenging, I'm glad I am not faced with those difficulties. Keep up your good work, and thanks for watching. God's peace Steve. Mr. Ed
It's always fun to share happiness, and what more fun could there bee than sharing fresh honey comb. Thanks for watching my friend. God's peace Bruno. Mr. Ed
How do you avoid getting eaten alive by mosquitoes? I know they love to live in marshy areas. This turned into a honey party. God bless you. God bless Jenny who found the queen.
The mosquitos were not the problem that day, it was the deer flies, they were terrible. What a great day of fun this removal was, and when Jenny spotted the queen, it was the cherry on the top. God is good. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace JJ. Mr. Ed

Thank you for the bee vacuum explanation :) very awesome and just what I wanted and was going to ask one of these days lol :) I really want to have a couple hives myself someday soon and leaning all I can beforehand :) Love, love, love your videos and cheery attitude :) also my daughter loves your voice and says it's very comforting :)

I over slept. So I didn't make top 10. But I did make 29 and it's better than not at all. I wouldn't miss your videos for nothing. As always another awesome video! That's great how Jenny found the queen not once but twice lol. Shes as good as you are. Bee careful, she might give you a run for your money. Lol have a great day sir, God bless and plz continue to be safe. It's getting crazy out.
No need to get in the top anything just as long as you get to watch, that's what I'm grateful for! Glad to hear you enjoyed this one as well, and yes, Jenny is one naturally talented bee wrangler, and I already asked her to give me lessons on queen spotting. Thank you for your blessings, concern, and for watching. Have a great weekend, and bee safe yourself. God's peace Tammy. Mr. Ed
What a cool location. Grace, hope and foo foo. lol I like your vac design. I think that's probably the best design. I like the way you release them as well. It's a lot to pack into a removal though. Where's the buffet? lol Oh, didn't catch the queen, that's a first, got her in the vac though. Oh, bonus release video with lovely helpers. Found her lost her got her. lol Way to go. Love the smack it and toss method. very cool. - I did a cutout last night, no video. Third removal same spot. lol I used the bee quick to run them out where I couldn't get my vac. Some how my vac strength adjuster got moved to max position and about 1/3 of the bees got splatted. I'll probably just combine them onto a single deep hive. Thanks for the video!
So you finally got to do a removal and you did not video it, I find that hard to believe. Most RUclips creators even video when they brush their teeth. I'm rethinking my release method, to many times this year I had a big bee kills due to honey leakage while the bees were below the cut comb. I really am liking the Rooster's method of opening the box and letting them fly. Of course, having the queen caged almost guarantees the bees staying. Jenny is a natural bee keeper, her dad has taught her well. You can expect to see her again on some of my videos. I've run bees out with Honey Bandit the last 2 times, both chasing the queen out leading to her capture. It's a great tool to use for removals. To bad about the regulator being set to high, it's happened to me as well. God's peace D. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff Thanks so much Jeff, it would be an honor to be lead by a true Bayou native such as yourself. Your personality shines through in everything you do, god bless :)
Mr Ed, when you put the comb in the ice chest does it stay warm enough to keep the larvae and capped brood alive until you get it framed up? Thanks for the video. God is in control!
I think it depends on where you live. In his part of Louisiana this time of year it does not drop below 70 at night very often. We have the same issue over here in southeast Texas where the temp rarely gets below 75 at night in the summer so I do not think it is as big a deal as it is in the Spring or Winter or up north.
Some of the uncapped larva will not make it, but all the capped larva does. The ice chests work very well holding the heat in. You'r right, God is in charge! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
That's crazy! I didn't know or think about bees making such a large home between a house's insulation! You did a great job. I know who to call now if I need you in Covington. I'm sure I'll see you next time you eat sushi at Hoseki! :)
I'm honored that you took the time to watch, thank you for that. Now, when you hear of someone who has bee issues, you can recommend me. Looking forward to hearing from you again, thank you so much for watching. See you soon, God's peace Anna. Mr. Ed
Mr. Ed
So with the bees generating so much heat, could you not put an additional box maybe about 6 inches deep above the vacuum box, where the heat can escape above the bees?
The bees never remain in the vacuum box long enough for the heat to build up to the degree of killing them, I make sure of that. If the bees would stay in there for more than 4 hours, something like you prepose would be a very good idea. It's good to see you thinking about the bees, I do also. God's peace KK. Mr. Ed
Do you realize that a fellow already designed a bee vacuum and it is named Beevac?. www.beevac.com He designed this years ago and is our mentor for our bee club.
Great video as always. Love watching your adventures and your dedication. Due to your inspiration and education that you have provided me (us) I have taken the step and installed 2 hives in my backyard. I have gone from being an "Only good bee is a dead bee" person to understanding who the "good guys" are in the bee/wasp population and taking this on as a new hobby at the ripe age of 60! My family thinks I'm nuts. I will blame it on age. :-) Just wondering if you come across extremely aggressive/'africanized" colonies in your neck of the woods? As always, thanks for all your time and effort and I will "keep on watching"! -Mr. Bob
Never let it bee said old dogs can't learn new tricks. Congratulations on making the leap, you are going to love the journey. I have a feeling that before long you are going to be building your own bee vac and getting out there and rescuing bees like me. Heck, I bet you start your own RUclips channel as well. I have not come across the Africanized bees in our area of Louisiana, and I'm thankful for that fact. Thanks so much for watching and learning, your comment made my day. God's peace Bob. Mr. Ed
do you ever freeze the honey comb? is the regulator on the bee vac like a dimmer for a light bulb? it's been awhile since youtube put your of our videos up front , I've been subscribed for over a year.
I have some in the freezer right now. When I'm ready to eat it, I let it thaw for a day and it's just like I took it from the hive. The regulator simply exhausts vacuum. By opening the gate pressure bleeds off lowering the suction of the vacuum. I do not know what RUclips thinks as far as placing my videos in playlists, I'm just happy whenever they do. Thanks so much for subbing to my channel and for watching. God's peace Roy. Mr. Ed

Nice, I keep finding videos I haven't seen, awsome, alot of bees and comb, love how Jenny found the queen twice. Your videos are a treat to watch, always entertaining and a learning experience for everyone.
I love how excited you get when you find the Queen. This time you could hardly contain yourself trying to get that frame out, I died laughing.
Mr. Ed
Love this guys energy❤️
Just a bee wrangler who loves partying with the seniors and saving bees! Thanks for your kind words and for watching. God's peace Gabriel.
Mr.
Mr. Ed
I love your enthusiasm for bees, lad. Even the comb are saved! Watched until the end to see the beautiful little queen.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching......all the way to the end. Yes, a real beauty of a queen.
Mr. Ed
Jenny is a natural at catching queens.
Yes she is, a real natural talent. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Wow Jenny has some pro queen spotting skills!
that she does my friend, that she does. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Always impressed at how organized and clean you work. Thanks for sharing!
I have to admit, I am a bit methodical in my approach to bee hive removals, but I feel it's in the best interest of the bees if I proceed in that fashion. Thank you for your support and for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Wonderful video as always. Thank you.
I hope the bees are all doing well in thier new home.
The bees are doing GREAT! It's always a bit worrisome to relocate bees, but having the queen, the necessary stores, and a good number of bees, almost ensures the bees survival. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Rowan.
Mr. Ed
Hello there Mr. Ed! Thanks for another great video. I’m so happy that y’all found that queen. 👑🐝🍯
It was a great day of bee wrangling, and when the queen was found, it made my day. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Laura.
Mr. Ed
I saw your smile popup in the recommended videos again. Thank you for sharing. You made my day. God Bless.
That party was great also.
Don't wait for the recommended videos, sub to the channel and hit the bell and you will get notified each Friday when I post a new one. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
You and Dirt Rooster are very good teachers.
You gave a great reply to Joyce's comment, thank you for that and for watching. God's peace Judith.
Mr. Ed
So nice to see you with the diligent bees and the fun you have to wrangle them and to show all the people around you. Thanks again for all your explanations. The comb looks really fresh and tasty. Great Job of Jenny to find the queen twice ;-) Have a nice weekend.
It was a real party removing the bees and finding the queen, Jenny did a great job! I hope your weekend is a good one also. God's peace Beate.
Mr. Ed
Thank you.
Mr. Ed
Good morning Mr Ed
And a very good morning to you as well Janet. I hope you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching. Till the next one, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Thank you Mr Ed. I enjoy all your videos, always a pleasure to watch. Blessings to you Mr Ed 😃
What a beautiful setting for the bees. I have to keep mine in a compound to keep the bears out, not as pretty but it works. Love your Videos Jeff.
Mr. Ed
Wow they are very beautiful in the light first time I seen black and white stripe.
The bees are black and yellow, it's just the light that made them appear that way, but it sure does look black and white. Thanks for watching. God's peace Mona.
Mr. Ed
Thank you for explaining the bee vac. I've never heard that before - really. 😳 Thank you!❤️🙏🏻💯
You'r very welcome. I've explained the bee vac many times in the past, but since there are so many new viewers to my channel, I decided to give some details on the bee vac. God's peace Mary Kay.
Mr. Ed
What beautiful comb. Great video.
Yes it was, and VERY large slabs. Some of it was so big, I had to cut it just to remove it without it falling down under it's own weight. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Sharon.
Mr. Ed
Thanks Mr. Ed God Bless
You are very welcome Dave. Thanks for your blessing and for watching. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
Thank you Jesus! Man Jeff you have all the fun. That hive was very impressive. Party on :-)
You know it's going to bee fun when it comes to wrangling bees, but when you throw in a gang of seniors, it may get a bit crazy! Thanks for watching. God's peace Cheryl.
Mr. Ed
Man I love your videos! Your happiness is infectious and leaves me with a smile EVERY time. God Bless
What a joy to hear and see your words, thank you for them, your blessing, and for watching. Keep smiling, God's peace always.
Mr. Ed
Nice work on the party bees
Those bees party way to hard for me, it's like they never sleep and just keep on going! Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
FYI: Bees don't like to be called "feral", they prefer "free range". Party on :)
hahaha brilliant
I'm going to start referring to them that way, it goes right along with bee wrangling. Thanks for that and for watching, party on too! God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
Still watching this is a big one!!!!
Mr. Ed
Jeff ur a real insperation to a beekeeper that couldn't go anywhere but that is going to change before long God bless
Enjoy the ride, it's a bumpy one, but oh so much fun! Happy to assist on your journey. Thank you for your blessing and for watching. God's peace Al.

Love the song Mr. Ed!
Mr. Ed
Mr Ed, you are the poster child of a Christian at Ease. Thank you for these wonderful videos and your praise of Christ our Lord!

God's peace JJ.

i love watching you vaccume by the way.
Vacuuming bees is a VERY important part of the removal, and I'm happy to hear you enjoy that part of it. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr.

OBAMFSpike, I knew it would hold heat, just didn’t know if it stayed warm enough to keep brood alive. Thanks!

Mr.

Just wondering if you come across extremely aggressive/'africanized" colonies in your neck of the woods?
As always, thanks for all your time and effort and I will "keep on watching"!

For sure.
do you ever freeze the honey comb? is the regulator on the bee vac like a dimmer for a light bulb? it's been awhile since youtube put your of our videos up front , I've been subscribed for over a year.
