The movie is based on the book by André Aciman.
Plot: It's the summer of 1983, and precocious 17-year-old Elio Perlman is spending the days with his family at their 17th-century villa in Lombardy, Italy. I admired Armie's honest options about having doubts in accepting the role of Oliver but I'm so glad he did because both he and Timmy are amazing in the movie.
armie's transparency is captivating
agree! great comment
i just love Luca’s choice of socks.. wild but chic
i LOVE all his socks as well!! his taste in socks makes me like him that much more
@@latenightcashews ^^
Who still watching 'call me by your name' 2020
Me, every single day perhaps 🥰
Me^^
i am watching so many times during home stay
Armie just got a divorce
Call me by your name is the one thing that can save 2020...😅
Wow, Timmy is so articulate and sensible for his age. Somehow I see him as Elio: both intelligent and sensitive. Idk, I trust him. And Armie is a charming, open and charming, charming, charming... And I love the way they handle all their interviews, they are so respectful to each other and the people around them. I am jealous.
i watch a lot of his (Timothee) interview the way he look at things and how he said it ...it just so poetic....and my brain can't even process how he come up with something he said!!! just wow
byealex I was thinking the same thing after seeing the film. Timmy is literally Elio and Armie is Oliver. It was meant to b.
Agree that Timothee is articulate and sensible. He has depth and substance in his acting. I can feel Elio's pains through his eyes. I think Luca banked on these qualities.
Timmy is very articulate and on point when he discusses acting and his body of work. In interviews where he talks about his personal, "off-screen" life, he's very awkward and shy and a bit self-deprecating. It's an interesting contrast.
The performances are wonderful but I would say Timothee is a much more aware young man than was his character, Elio. I also suspect that Armie is a more emotionally committed human being than is Oliver.
Hats off to armie man.. The way he opens up abt having very legit reservations and fears and then being brave enough to do the movie, u know taking up the challenge... Respect! ..
'I'd been searching for a project where I could have some sort of sexual experience with a fruit...'
😂😂 we gotta love him
We gotta love him 😂😂
"it just kinda came and went"
"so to speak"
I LAUGHED SO HARD
The way Timothee said "Later" in the movie still stuck in my head. hahaha
“You can be ok with yourself no matter what”. Wow. Got me in the feels, that one.
Haha, what is your name? XD
i wish ive never watched this movie so i can rewatch it and experiment the wonderful feelings again
Alas, you can only see a movie the first time once. On the second viewing, the experience is different (still great, but different).
totally true!
i watched 5 times, and i still get a different feeling everytime. I actually preferred my 4th and 5th time watching it because instead of just crying or feeling heart broken like the first time watching it, I started understanding the characters and where they come from, the ending made since that i literally at this point feel like it was just perfect, i wouldn't ask for a different or happier ending.

@@blurustc8341 I am somewhat scared to watch it for the 2nd time - I am so full of emotions I think I'll just bawl my eyes out. I am somewhat relieved to learn one might get to the 5th watching :)
have you ever seen such beautiful men
Ashley Santos No they are simply beautiful.😉
Yes
No
Gotta say no dear😊.. But also such solid human beings 😃
Is that a rhetorical question? River Phoenix was perhaps as beautiful as either of them, to give but one example. That said, Armie and Timothee are certainly both very beautiful.
I love Timothee...so articulate. Hard to believe he's only 21....wise beyond his years. and so cute. and armie is a dreamboat! as for the film, my god what a masterpiece. ive seen it 3 times and am seeing it again next week
I loved this movie I cant stop watching interviews
me too
Thought i was the only one
"it just kinda came and went"
"...so to speak"

Every day l look this movie 1or 2 times, I can't say how many times ISaw it since 6 months... And every time I found something new. Me too, I love everything!
@@sl_ce_dharrelldariusguera1839 It is a guy thing that came fast.
I think Timothée is bound to be one of best male actors, if not THE best, of his generation and many generations to come! Time will tell but I bet I am right!
Just look at who he was up against at the Oscars. He's a definite talent.
Dragon Landlord: Yes! For sure!! And by now , sadly ~ very disappointing that he didn’t get nominated again for “beautiful boy”, have you seen that one? Most amazing!! And he shot another movie with Greta Gerwig again, and Meryl Streep, and other Oscar nominated and Oscar winning actors! and just finished a movie with Woody Allen! etc. 🥰😍🙂🤩🤘🏼👍🏼💜❤️❤️
I will never every recover from the beauty of this movie.
Luca's accent is so cute!!
garima Baranwal italian accent
I'm Italian and i hate my accent when I speak english...do you really like italian accent?
i am so glad armie agreed to play oliver......oliver's role was as critical as elio..& armie was literally perfection!
PS luca is so adorable & so is timmy
These comments crack me up xD
About Timothy: I love how articulate he is
About Armie: I love how honest he is
About Luca: I love his socks

Luca just said he loved the book; I am probably one of the few who has seen the movie a "thousand" times and I read and reread the book over and over; it is just like a candy to me, a 77-year-old lady. God bless them all, Andre in the first ranks!
Hi Julia I have just finished the book and it’s broken my heart and stirred a lot of internal anxiety I have about regrets and looking back on the past and watching how time ran out here and there. I’m 20 years old at the time of writing this comment, but I’d love to hear at 77 your thoughts on the book and what made it so addictive for you.
he is soooooo beautiful his skin look like snow white
韻 Huang yessss
beautiful skin
I watched this moovie 3 times in 2 days
Same
How in the world Timmy can be so beautiful in this interview?
okay luca is my mood
Timothee looked other-worldly here. Timothee at peak beauty.
Timothee skin is shining
Timothee is so right, when he says the message is much stronger without an aggressive villain in the story that portraits homophobia. We had that enough in almost all other gay themed movies (though i I must admit I didnt watch that many gay themed movies yet). This movie is so good just because it portraits a love story between two males without commenting on it too much.
I think I would go into shock if I ever met, or even just saw Timothee in real life! I would just be blown away by his other worldly beauty and sex appeal. Plus, he seems like a really good guy!
I went back to him and said " I tried and it worked" and he said "I tried too." TIMMY TRIED HAHA
Im so hyped for this movie
Both have beautiful eyes
One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen, and I’m 75 yrs old. The chemistry between the two and the warmth and guidance from Elio’d father was stunning. Once in a lifetime films of a relationship that will survive for eternity.
armie and timmy are the cutest
God Timmy is so gorgeous.
this movie is going to be The Notebook 0.02 to me.
6:11 tim was totally feeling armie's answer ❤️
In my mind I want these two to be a couple. They are so beautiful together. I'll only get to see that in the movie.
Maria Elena omg, I know. I don’t want any of this to end. 💔 Their chemistry is incredible. I’ve never seen a film with such a beautiful connection between love interests, especially with it being crossed over into reality. Their relationship seems almost as intense irl.
me too!! they are totally in love
The book had my stomach knotted up for weeks!. The agony Elio suffered lusting after Oliver was too graphic. I was physically sick. Will like to read another book from Oliver's perspective to see if he suffered the same emotional torture. These two are just adorable and should be forced to marry!!
Отдаю вам первенство, я лишь сегодня в комменте на другой ролик озвучила желание прочесть или посмотреть версию от " Оливера", по той же причине что и вы, один в один..
" This kind of pure love and non violent movie is an antidote for the world" Timothée, youre so right. You heals the world
8:12 The most beautiful thing I have heard Armie say! #selfrealization #selfacceptance #parenting
Timotée is SO BEAUTIFUL in this interview
Luca is so funny we love an icon
These two are adorable. They love each other. It showed. The chemistry between them is incroyable.
Incredible (EN) = Incroyable (FR)
Trop mignon les français :))
This will be a huge movie
Love beautiful Timmy and Armie
You cab really see how much these guys believe in this film and believe in what it stands for likr thry genuinely love being a part of this and want it to never end. Also you can see the amount of dedication they had towards this and did it being as free as they could be and that is something that I'll give to Luca cz this guy made this what it is and that's Beautiful.
Armie had hangups about taking this movie on, but Timmie he never said in one interview that he had issues with playing this role. Interesting!!!
He's a young aspiring actor he'd take anything
H M he originally didn't wanna take the film bc of the nudity (they took it out for the final script), not whatever u said
sang toews no, Luca shot Armie naked. He still took the role with the racy script. Luca opted to not show full frontal because he said he's done it before so much. But he wants to do more films with them, so maybe he'll be naked for the people obsessed with nudity. And in interviews since Armie clarified his comments and said he was afraid he wasn't good enough to play that vulnerable, not that he was afraid of playing gay because this is his third gay role.
Maria Elena Timmy is just starting out, so there isn’t a ton of pressure on him. Armie had a lot more risks, going into this, especially having small children and very conservative parents. And any seasoned actor would have some reservations about the vulnerability and intimacy of these roles.
fashionista444 Um....Luca didn’t opt to remove the on-screen nudity-Chalamet and Hammer signed contracts prohibiting full frontal on-screen nudity. However, in several interviews, Hammer confessed to being nude during shooting.
But Luca is such a sweet person
timmy: wow I couldn’t have said that better. Now I would fail as I try. Lmao
I fell in love with this movie and i'ts characters!
Love is a beautiful and sometimes painful experience that we all go through. I am a 68 year old Grandmother and I found this film to express young unadulterated passion and pure love! It touched my soul! Thanks to Luca, Timothée, Armie and everyone involved in this amazing love story! It opened up to me what life has to offer yet! ❤
Timmy is so beautiful in this moment
7:45 amazing...
As a parent my favorite part was the ending speech by Mr. Pearlman. To be honest I was a little confused about the point of the movie while watching but that brought it all together for me. I hope to be the kind of parent that encourages their child to be themselves like Elio's parents and also like Timothee's parents. You can just tell they let him explore and just be...
Milkshake thats the part where i cried too, everytime I watch it
Lol, every time they tell the rehearsal the number of scene in the script (that says they should make-out) always change.
Haha! Right?
Curry Marie LOL yes!
I love this. But mostly Armie says scene 62.
lmao you know you’ve watched too many interviews of your favourite actors when you start realising how their stories change in each interview...I’m too obsessed
I give them.credit for not once saying "scene 69" which would have made the crowd snicker even more 😂😉
I love this beautiful movie so much!
Definition of a dream team. Period.
I’m torn of this Armie being such a nasty / cannibal guy thing. After watching him speak here he seems sooooo genuine and kind.
You're torn about the false accusations of a stalker, who keeps posting fake screenshots of fake texts for 3 months straight, coming up with ever new and more outrageous claims, and who never sued him, because, you know, she has only faked evidence? And who said her intention was never to sue him, but to create public distraction from something else? Hmmm, ok...
even if the buzzing news is true, I will still forgive his attitude even though I know it's bad, I also feel sad for thinking about his ex-wife's feelings but I also can't see armie being attacked like that, he still has a good side that we admire, now everything has happened and I hope he can start for good things and keep working😔
@@kimkai9741 I highly agree with you. I believe him to be a good man. They cannot put a good man down. Let's pray for more things great, wonderful happen to him.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel that their ueasiness filming those secenes (and talking about it in this interview) echos of certain plots in the book, which is cute and painful at the same time.
Sorry if this seems off. I just finished reading the book, and I'm emotionally bruised.
SerenaLoveL I can understand how you feel, I read the book yesterday.. I cried after reading... I desperately wanted to share the experience with someone. But none of my friends read
I finished the book in one sitting and i just felt this void in my stomach it hurt so much and now i am binge watching interviews to help me
I watched the movie before I even read the book. I ache a lot and I cried during the movie and now that I wanted to read the book, I don’t know if I could. I know reading the book going to make it more painful feeling that loss.
SerenaLoveL I actually thought the same!!
SerenaLoveL I was destroyed after the book my heart literally hurt and I couldn't stop crying it was so good
Love is love ❤️🧡💛💚💜💙🤍💖🌈
Supporting this movie for the Oscar. Go everybody, you are great!
that's why they will always be nice to me and a Cassian they were ideally suited to each other💞💖💝💘
“Came and went” oh Timothée
that's a different rehearsal story 😂😂
life is too short not to follow your heart
So refreshing to hear an actor talk about what he feared in regard to taking the role his kids Anas what they might see. I always wondered about that.
1:54 When Armie heard timmy say his name
, haha, can somebody tell what means his reaction after timmy say his name🤣😂
😂😂😂
Can not stop watching this movie 🎥 great film 🎥 best film I have ever seen beautiful love story beautiful country northern Italy 🇮🇹 wonderful acting well directed wonderful film can not wait for the sequel and the 📖 is great as well
Agghhh they’re so fuckin pure I love them all so much❤️❤️
So true. I was that person. I thought, maybe love is love.
I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL SONS! They are so sensible and passionate- it's refreshing to look at.
Well done to Luca this is my favourite movie
yes, "universally relatable, maybe even has the capacity to help people realize things about themselves." @tchalamet
super super adorables! miles de peñiculas tienen que hacer juntos! son los mas bellos y su quimica es preciosa! vuelvan pronto con la secuela y mucho mas armie y timy!
Timmy is SO beautiful here. 🥰
Melhor filme q já vi🤩🤩🤩❤
...and you never expected any of this to turn into a life endeavor!
Luca sounds like gru from despicable me
Fatima Khalid No he is count Dracula from Hotel Transylvania
". . . nervous about all the nudity that was originally in the script." Well, don't worry, Armie. We won't see any of that until the DVD comes out! :~)
I just realised Armie sounds exactly like George from the Broken Sword games and I love it.
God damn it you're right!
What a beautiful man!
8:20 😢😢😭😭😭❤❤❤
Timothy is so cute♥️
I have watched numerous of these interviews with Armie and Timothee and never once do they even mention the crotch grab scene. I've always wondered if there was any discomfort from that scene as well? Did Armie wear some sort of cup or covering to keep Timothee from getting full contact? Or how did Timothee know when to stop to keep from full contact? I can imagine with both of them being straight, that, that scene alone had some weird or discomforting discussions?
@Jean Kennedy I think they fell in love. I wouldn't be astoneshed if Armie get divorce after 3 years to be with Timmy.😜
@@elenaalemagna8563 I agree, I think they did fall in love, it's seems impossible they didn't as so many other actors in initmate roles fall in love too 😍 It's July 2020 and you predicted the divorce! It's bound to be because of how Armie felt after doing the film. I feel sorry for his wife as the red-hot intimacy in the interviews shows it was game over for Armie's marriage from the moment that filming started. But will he shack up with Timmy? Like Oliver worrying about messing up Elio, might Armie worry if it would affect Timmy's career?
Saludos, puede alguien traducir al espanol esta entrevista por favor...luce muy interesante....
Is it just me or Luca totally sounds like poppie from Seinfeld? 😂
Did I head: “I tried too?”
4:07 Luca really exposed them Lmaoo💀🤣😂

I lol'd at 1:37
Timothee sounds like leafy. Like just image him saying
"Hey guys it's Leafy here" 😂😂
Timothée, sweetie, I am so sorry.
nope
2:50. We all kinda knew it Timotheé
Holaaa que pesar hubieran pasado la entrevista tambien en español no le parece, todos nooooo hablamos veo mismo idioma
Ive notice that Armie mentioned his 2 kids and he didn't even mention his wife lol
He often talks about her.
He just got a divorce
Life imitating art! It’s July 2020, and the *divorce* means that Mrs Hammer now plays the sad role of Marzia, and *Timothėe becomes the “Usurpateur”!!* But will the love created in Crema officially become #ChArmie?! 😍😍😍 Like Oliver worrying about messing up Elio, might Armie worry if it would affect Timmy's career? 😵 #CMBYN
lifelong endeavor
Hi
Can WB please cast these two as Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson please?
For me the most erotic scene is when Arni tickles tickles Timothee at the window and continues tickling him on the bed.I wondered if that was spontaneous by the guys or in the script Also as a gay man who has know the joy of love found and pain of a love lost. The film has had a big impact on me, Elio's face at the end as he battles to control his heart-break, as the credits roll. Is quite simply mesmerising and un-forgettable. Two beautiful and fine actors, and a wonderful film.
