You might think what you want about the X-Files. I don't believe in this whole mythical stuff, but it's nevertheless some great entertainment.
This particular scene...wow, it's so deep. Now, imagine the voiceover not being provided by Scully/Gillian Anderson, but by Richard Dawkins or David Attenborough. Or maybe Carl Sagan, it would fit either way

Evolution was not conjured up to only destroy mans faith in God and where he came; but it was Satans goal all along to deceive mankind and cause him to covet immortality. No ! evolution is more about where man is headed ! It’s that old lie the serpent spoke in the garden to Eve. “ ye shall no surely die ; for God doth know that in the day ye eat there of , then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And just as God used Holy men of God who believed on Him as His instrument to write the Word of God in order to save mankind from there sin and the destruction of eternity in Hell ; Satan who wants to be like God has uses man; and his rebellious heart to conceive these mad delusions to deceive and to destroy mankind.

Seventeen lines of fairy tale. Invest a few bucks and read "God is not Great" by Christopher Hitchens. It will open your mind to reality. We are all decedents of single celled organisms. Believe in science which provides proof, not Santa Claus.
