🎬 Welcome to Crossmind Studio's Blender Course: "Animated Character Creation in 3D" - Your Ultimate Beginner-Friendly Guide!
🌟 About the Course:
This comprehensive guide is designed for aspiring beginners, providing an immersive journey from character modeling, uv, shading, rigging to making your first animated scene and rendering it.
This course is crafted for beginners who often find themselves with questions right after delving into 3D software and wondering how animated characters are created. In this course, we take things up a notch, moving beyond basic object modeling to the creation of characters, guiding you through the entire process, ultimately leading to animation.
Featuring over 10 hours of content spread across 20 chapters (compressing more than 40 hours of tightly edited material).
By the end of this course, you will have understood all the aspects involved in creating characters and how you can use this knowledge to craft your animated stories.
Whether you aim to create characters for animations, illustrations, motion graphics, music videos, or your own RUclips channel, this course is suitable for everyone. It guides you through the entire process without overwhelming you with details that can be explored at a later stage.
--------------------------------------------------
🐱🏍 More insight into this course.
I'm sure many of you who are learning 3D and animation have stories to tell. Whether it's through animations, illustrations, graphic novels, music videos, experimental films or RUclips videos, there are various mediums to express your thoughts. Every one of us stepping into the world of 3d is curious about one thing right after getting introduced to these fancy software's: how do you make animated characters? And that's what this series is all about.
We're going to create a character in 3D, and not just a 3d model but an animated 3d character model, which you can use to bring your stories to life. Just like how you must have seen in cartoon shows. By the end of the series, we'll have animated the character, covering everything from modelling, UV mapping, texturing, shading, armature rigging, all the way to animation, simulations and final rendering. Most importantly, we'll be doing it in a way that is beginner friendly. You don't need to have knowledge of sculpting or a great understanding of human anatomy to follow along.

1. What version are you using in this course?
I am using Pre-release 4.0, but this tutorial is compatible with previous versions as well. A few improvements and updates in riggify and shading nodes have been mentioned, comparing both the old and new versions. You can also follow along with the LTS version.
2. Where can i get the full course?
crossmindstudio.gumroad.com/l/animatedcharacter
3. Is this course entirely free?
The course is not entirely free. Modeling to shading chapters will be released on RUclips every few weeks. However, the Premium edition on Gumroad unlocks the full course, including the
complete process from modeling, UV, shading, rigging overview, rigging with riggify, weight painting, props manual rigs, pose library setup, animating walk cycles, cloth simulations, creating a background with geometry nodes and procedural shaders, lighting, final rendering, and compositing. In addition to bonus content, it also comes with project files, animated bonus scenes, and other benefits. Check gumroad for full information.
4. Will this course be compatible with the next release?
For as long as there are no major changes to the interface of Blender, this course should be compatible. The last major UI change Blender received was recently during version 3.0, and the same
will be followed in upcoming versions as well.
5. I am an absolute beginner; can I watch this series?
If you have never used Blender before, I suggest you clear the basics first. Please check out this series, which helps with basics:

6. I need help regarding the course; where should I connect?
You can use the dedicated Discord channel for this server. The link to Discord is available in the description and channel banner:

I just wanted to say thank you for your work, and a big thank you for sharing this whole tutorial series on RUclips for free. Awesome work, man.
I really appreciate you explaining why you make certain decisions due to the anatomy
Glad it was helpful
I didn't find anyone's video like you throughout 2 year
this is the best series ive ever seen abt blender. thank you for this
i can't wait for next part , loving it so far. When the next video is coming up ?
You're doing great, I'm looking forward to your next video, you're blessed.
Very helpful video with just the right tone and pacing. One thing that would be even more helpful for beginners like me is to also record your mouse clicks, making much easier to follow along. Thank you!
This is a new method for me so far thank you
Awesome, I've just finished the head so I was wondering if the next chapter was already uploaded:D
I was dying waiting for this episode thanks for sharing learning a lot
I purchased the premium version. As with the airplane tutorial, I really appreciate it. I have two criticisms to make of you. The first is the fact that you always use perspective view. For beginners like us, I find it best that you use the views: front, left, right etc. It's more precise.
Our perspective is not the same as yours. Which sometimes gives a false illusion of angle. The perspective view is ideal for an overview (unless you use a camera of course.
The 2nd criticism is the lack of subtitles for deaf people and foreigners (I am French deaf) in your premium version. Premium subtitles do not offer languages other than English (like in youtube).
Voilà ! Merci!
ps: sorry for my English, I use google translate
Awesome!!
thank you for sharing this content, this is helpful me into created animation 3D.
i waited next chapter
I am egarly waiting for the next chapter...Thanks for your amazing tutorial series
This deserve more recognition
Amazing work sir😚👍
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing character ❤
Excellent tutorial. I followed along and made an absolute mutant of a body. But then I spent an hour or so tweaking the verts to get something nice. Which i suppose is how learning goes lol. Wouldn't have even made it that far without your instruction. Thank you very much for posting it
Edit: I'll also add, I particularly like that you explain why certain decisions are made to conform with anatomy and that the end product is mostly style agnostic. I've seen a lot of tutorials for basic character modeling, but they simplify down to a cartoon tube person which won't really scale into something detailed or realistic. While this model is driven towards a cartoony purpose, it has enough geometry and divides the topology in a way that I can see the method being used for more realistic styles as well. The versatility of this approach is greatly appreciated
I am glad you found it useful. Do share your result on discord, i am sure you will accomplish great results.
Oh Mai Oh Mai 😍
estou acompanhando a qui do Brasil , exelente aula , parabens
obrigado
please upload next chapters
thanks
Welcome
hi, I have a question, is it more effective for us to model with with this flow or first with sculpting??
If you're already familiar with sculpting, feel free to incorporate it into your workflow. However, this series is specifically designed for beginners who may not have been introduced to advanced tools and are new to modeling and character creation. Sculpting is not a necessity for simpler characters, and the poly modeling approach used in this series serves as a great introduction to fundamental topology concepts.

Hi,
I like your video. I am facing some issur when I excruciating belly button. So can you help me how to excruciating so middle line also move inside?
Please use discord and share video or screenshot
It was easier for me to make a head in zbrush and then do retopology, but the body was pretty easy to make in a blender. The lessons are interesting, but it's a pity that they rarely come out))) I'm waiting for the next lessons.
I would buy your course, but it is impossible to do this from Russia 😑. I will watch the free version😊
Thank you for your hard work.😎👍
Please msg on discord.
after applied subdivision my mesh smoothes but didn't my wireframe smoothes?
in the subdivision modifier. you have to turn on the square icon next to the triangle that's upside down. that allows you to see the subdive modifier effect in edit mode.
Sir please upload next chapter.
Sir one request...As from Indian POV after applying the early bird coupon also, the price is almost 3.2k which is really expensive...These prices may be normal for American dollars but in Rupees its really too much...Plz drop the price sir 🙏🏻🙏🏻
