Daniel ThankU i really appreciate how you explain things. I know you were just kiddin' around there at the end about how the heck to make this topic sexy, but it's no joke. It's precisely in physical intimacy that i lose my voice. I have great friends to talk with. I'm great with therapists. I can share candidly in a 12 step mtg. I detest passive aggression and learned i could graciously & gently assert myself. Until the clothes come off. Then it's the echo chamber, the roar of furnaces. The abuse survivors' literature describes frequently observed vocal disturbances: stuttering, stammering, "alters",... There's disruption at a neurological level where will power is feeble. Do you follow the chakras? One teacher emphasized that some of them reverberate: the 2nd (sacral/sexual) reverbs the 5th (voice). I'm so tired of feeling defective. I'm kinda manic, so planning to keep working on it. Keep up the good work. Yours truly
Thank you so much for sharing that. I do have some understanding of Chakras but I do not study them in depth. I had a client I worked with who hadn’t spoken to his parent’s in over 10 years due to childhood trauma he has experienced at their hands. We worked through some of those barriers, he made amends with his parents, and his vocal tick went away. I truly believe this was due to his voice Chakra being blocked and not being able to communicate how he truly felt all those years. I wish you health and happiness! :)
@TheCoachDanny thanks again! I'm a novice re the chakras. I was very influenced by a lady author Garfield who wrote Angels And Companions In Spirit. The theme is the author's ability to communicate with the souls of the dead. I'm not particularly recommending that paranormal part, she's a passionate writer. But in an early chapter she teaches a meditation through Chakra cleansing that is poetically beautiful & informative
