Your points about how zoos are also dedicated to local wildlife are also valid. My zoo has a lot of American cascade animals like mountain goats, black bears, beavers, etc. Zoos are great for education about local ecosystems, not just the exotic. I’ll remember that next time “boring animals” get announced. Maybe we all need to keep our hype and excitement with more mindfulness.
What beautiful creatures! The model is SO good - the feathers, the neck movements, THE LITTLE TAIL WIGGLES!! Great habitat, and that backstage is what dreams are made of.
Amazing work! I'm honestly so happy about the swan, and when I first saw your announcement video I was so surprised. Mute Swans are very common here in the USA so it's nice to have a resident bird, even if they're found elsewhere. They truly are some tough animals...I had one give me a clear nip on the arm, worst part is I didn't even see it. Not many people realze swans and geese have serrated beaks, so a bite from then can put quite the mark on you. This and the Sloth Bear are my favorites, both have SUCH amazing fur and feather work, keep it up!
Lovely habitat! Mute swan is a very good addition to the roster. Coconut crabs would be a fascinating habitat animal. They do get pretty big that they could need a bigger habitat than just a tank.
I love that they added the Mute Swan and I love this habitat definitely the best swan habitat yet, I had already asked this question on your mixed habitat in the desert adventure park but it was along time ago so, I love all your habitats and I would really appreciate you showing how you built the indoor area of the backstage because your backstages are always so good and I’m curious how you make them you don’t have to if u don’t want to❤
Although my comment might be a bit late (after a month without a computer)...the swan is one of my favourite birds in the game. Not only because it's a quite majestic bird. But as I live at the edge of a birds sanctuary (a quite large nature reserve) we nearly see them every day, sometimes even by just looking outside the window. And in terms of zoos and local wildlife...that's what zoos should be all about. Showing exotic animals and raising awareness for a lot of endangered exotic species on the one hand....But on the other hand also to show the people what amazing animals live in our country (or the neighbour countries) too and that these species (which might seem boring to some people) are just as amazing and worth protecting as tigers, lions, etc (and of course to preserve these species too).
I absolutely agree with everything you said here!!! Showcasing the local wildlife is so important and I think that zoos should focus even more on that!
It's really really well done, nature, the choice of cabin which goes perfectly with this 'swamp' side of the habitat! I really like the nature around it which gives a wild appearance to a real small lake. Can you take the time to post this habitat on the workshop? It would be generous of you, thank you for your videos. It's been a while since you posted your new creations on Steam ☺ I wish I had your talent haha
That’s so beautiful habitat, But when will you finish your reptile house, I can't wait to see all parts of the building. Your Elm Hill City Zoo it’s my favorite Planet Zoo Project Btw. I hope you can finish this project and this project can get bigger over time, and I hope success is always for you Cesar 🤩🫶🏻🤩
I need help, the animals and keepers cant reach the feeders but i dont know why. I checked and in your video it showed the feeder full and being eaten from.
Did you try to move the entrance of the habitat anywhere else so it is more accessible for the stuff? The location of the gate in the blueprint was random just so I could release it as a blueprint in a whole
Local wildlife zoos are always my way-to-go when playing. Made a North American + Arctic wildlife zoo in the US. Made an Amazon rainforest wildlife zoo somewhere in as close as South America without getting the mountaintop map one would need a helicopter to get to. Made an Indonesian wildlife zoo in Java or Borneo. All these years I haven't built one of those "build anywhere but our main attractions are lions tigers and elephants" kinda deal. Oh and I'm curious what effect will the official Mute Swan have on the waterbird mods both existing and future.
Third Comment - Wow… I was right! Vegetation is key. Does not matter how good your rock work and fencing skills are, you will always be defeated by the nature tool spamming bushes and trees.
A little late to the party but the Swan enclosure looks beautiful, can’t wait to see what you do for the other animals in the pack. Btw have you noticed that they reworked the Malayan Tapir?
I can already imagine something like a big (I mean really (really) big) natural habitat in a mountain/hilly area for all of the europian animals and a lake in the middle for wild swans. I also really love this habitat, the planting around the lake is just phenominal! (Could the gift shop mechanic be used for aviarys/aquariums?)
I agree about dropping expectations for flying birds and/or full aquatic animals. Of course I'm still holding out hope, but frankly I also wouldn't be surprised if a pack like that if they do release one would be one of the last ones they release as a big hurrah. I just enjoy the packs as they come, I'm always excited for animals that bring a new flare, or animals that bring a good rig for modders like the quokka and the swan. A lot of youtubers seem to express such disappointment with each pack just because there's no birds, yet we still just got a pack with so many cool animals, animals that help to pad out various regions in zoos, etc. I've greatly enjoyed these last two dlcs despite them being met with so much disappointment just because there's no flying birds. I'm just happy to get the animals we have gotten, honestly these last two packs have fit pretty closely into what I've been predicting and that's just exciting for me lol.
Glad you agree with me! I think you have the best approach ever! Of course it would be amazing to get those groundbreaking things but to me this game is awesome as it is! It doesn't need them to be complete and additions like the lat two amazing packs really prove that! Planet Zoo is not doing as well as it used to do on RUclips and that's why youtubers want to have those groundbreaking things because that probably hope that they would drawn people back to the game and the interest would be high again but to me views are not everything and you can always switch to another game 😅
I am not too sure about that because the shape of the netting pieces from the oceania pack makes it really difficult to work with them on those intricate builds where you need to overlap them. It can look quite messy 😅
Yeah it’s a common bug in the game! Here is a really helpful tutorial by justGoron on how to fix it - ruclips.net/video/Ssn8YhDksSc/видео.htmlsi=FfbWzGJJ8t6zNTxi 🤓
Nice habitat man. it looks so realistic. Did you know the mutes one was introduced to Norm America? as a decorative bird. And not only that. you do not want to get them mad. Overall, nice habitat build. I can await to see more get done. Like having the reptile house finish. Or having the bear house get built. or the primate house Or the cassowaries And the wild dog in Hyena I have an idea for a video If you're open to it you know, in Australia, zoo, they have a lemur island You can make an island for all the lemurs. Species that we have like the ringtailed lemur Or the red roughed lemur and the black and white rough lemur And you can make a good habitat for the fusa Make it its own island It's just a couple ideas I thrown in there Keep up the good work, man I won't be mute about my opinion Get it mute. Mute swan That's a joke.
I'm quite suprised about the fact that swans don't get a bonus with cranes. I saw many cases where many cranes and swans are in same, big aviary with a huge pond. -A guy from south korea.
It probably comes down to the fact that they don't live in the same regions. Interspecies enrichment always includes animals that would live happily together in their natural habitat (for example African savannah). However I am sure that you still are able to keep them together without any problems and they will thrive (just as for example swans with capybaras). The interspecies enrichment is just this little boost of happiness that they get from living with the species that they would normally live with in their natural environment
why dont u play a lets play in franchise mode im sorry but sandbox is boring i mean wats the point of getting the game if u take the easy option of unlimited money

I play Planet Zoo to create realistic looking enclosures for animals and build a city zoo without any limits of the franchise mode. The creative aspect is much more important to me than focusing on earning money etc. I tried playing franchise on my channel and I didn't enjoy it. If you want to watch franchise there are some amazing creators who have franchise series on their channels such as Deladysigner, ZSH Plays or Simply Savannah!

Thank you for this comment! I really appreciate that you guys agree with me!
As an Australian, most of our zoos have huge portions dedicated to our native species, with some being almost exclusively Australian animals.
As a zookeeper, your backstage areas make me so happy :)
OMG thank youuu!! Those comments from real-life zookeepers always hit different! 💚
What beautiful creatures! The model is SO good - the feathers, the neck movements, THE LITTLE TAIL WIGGLES!! Great habitat, and that backstage is what dreams are made of.
Yeah I absolutely agree! It looks just perfect in the game!!

What a day! An early look at the next dlc AND a beautiful habitat from Cesar Creates 💚💚💚

Really happy with the addition of the pack and this habitat is wonderful. Really need to see u build for more animals from this new pack

Cesar I have a question about Valby. Now with the new netting from the oceania pack, do you thing you would swap it out for the crane habitat?
I am not too sure about that because the shape of the netting pieces from the oceania pack makes it really difficult to work with them on those intricate builds where you need to overlap them. It can look quite messy 😅
