I'm a grown man and I just cried, I wish I could have been one of those trees as well and got to have seen his blessed face even if it were for just a moment may Allah forgive the believers
Our beloved Shaykh won't like me saying this. But I believe Shaykh Hamza Yusuf is the Ghazali of our time. We're so fortunate to have such an amazing luminary at a time of darkness. And at a time where other scholars and daees have become celebrity shaykhs for fame and money.
May Allah Almighty help all Muslims to offer prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque. Amen May God bless us all in the hearts of Muslims. Amen😭😭😭 Thanks you very much Kawthar
صلى الله عليه وسلم Much love and duas from Auckland, New Zealand. May Allah Azzawajal bless and preserve our dear shaykh and allow us to benefit from him for many many more years to come. امين
May Allah bless you sheikh Hamza yucef, you are the reason I changed, bcz of the blessing of you a lot of things changed in my life, my mindset changed to one that's better, you taught us to always be good and strive for goodness and have a strong sense of purpose and make good use of the time we tarry here.I follow your advice on many topics and issues you passed in the speeches you made ,I realized it's wise to steer away from the things of instant gratification of the modern world and time wasting habits, bcz I realized these things won't contribute to the things I want to pursue and fulfill in my own life.May Allah give you goodness in this world and the next and Grant you Paradise. Alhamdoulilah for the blessing of you for this Ummah 🤲
MashaAllah! You certainly are gifted to our community in many ways too … threading upon the path, paved by our Rasul Allah ( s.a.w) when our generation alas! was not there, as an example in our midst now to learn from and forward the beautiful inspiring message of our Deen ,” Al Islam” to the entire world … living in the West , Alhumdulillah! May Allah protect you & give you a long healthy life. Aameen 🤲🏻🌹💫
Maa Shaa Allah! Thanks Sheikh Yusuf for this beautiful poem about our beloved and Allah's noble prophet and messaenger Muhammad (Allah's peace and blessing be upon him). May Allah reward you with tremendous increase in imaan, good health and joy on earth and in the hereafter.

Beautiful poem sheikh that was trully a wonderful reminder of how beautiful our prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Salam) " the praised one " really is. Always love seeing things like this from sheikh Hamza.
Allahu me seli ala muhammedin weala ali Mohammed kema seleyt ala ebrahim weala ali ebrahim fil alemin ine ke hamidun mejid webarik ala muhammedin weala ali Mohammed kema barekte ala ebrahim weala ali ebrahim fil alemin ine ke hamidun mejid Jezakumulahul kheyre MashaAllah
Bismillah AsSalamu Alkuim, Alhumduillah, May Allah continue to bless Shaykh Hamza Yusuf and his family and all the Muslim's and all those who benefit from his wisdom. MashaAllah I love this poem! I love the whole poem but these parts that are my favorite: I envy the sand that met his feet, Of a sun whose light could not compete ... With his, whose face did shine so bright, I envy sightless trees that gazed Upon his form, completely gazed Not knowing if the sun had risen,... With those who prayed, and fasted too, Simply because he told them to. .... With truth and kindness, charity From God, Who gave such clarity, His mercy comes in one He sent To mold our hearts more heaven bent. ... I envy all, there at his side Who watched the turning of the tide I envy the cup that gave him drink, His thoughts, that helped us all to think. To be one thought that passed his mind Inspiring him to act so kind. InShaAllah Shaykh Hamza Yusuf will publish it and have signed copies available for donations to Zaytuna :) May Allah bless him to keep writing, it reflects his beautiful heart and the love of Allah and His messenger.
I envy the sand that met his feet I’m jealous of honey he tasted sweet Of birds that hovered above his head Of spiders who spun their sacred web To save him from his enemies I envy clouds formed from the seas That gave him cover from the heat Of a sun whose light could not compete With his, whose face did shine so bright That all was clear in blinding night I envy sightless trees that gazed Upon his form completely dazed Not knowing if the sun had risen But felt themselves in unison With those who prayed, and fasted too Simply because he told them to With truth and kindness, charity From God who gave such clarity His mercy comes in one He sent To mold our hearts more heaven bent I envy all there at his side Who watched the turning of the tide As truth prevailed and falsehood fled And hope restored life to the dead Men and Women through him found grace To seek together God’s noble face I envy the cup that gave him drink His thoughts that helped us all to think To be one thought that passed his mind Inspiring him to act so kind For me this world is not one jot If I could simply be a thought From him to God throughout the ages As revelation came in stages I pity all who think it odd To hear him say there is one God Or he was sent by God to men To hone their spirits’ acumen It’s pride that blinds us from the sight That helps good men to see his light He taught us all to be God’s slaves And he will be the one who saves Humanity from sinful pride Muhammad has God on his side So on this day be blessed and sing For he was born to grace our Spring With lilies, flowers, life’s rebirth In a dome of green like his on earth ~~Shaykh Hamza Yusuf
I LOVE this poem except the word envy. It could say I object instead. This happened to me too with something I wrote about the prophet s.a.w.s. that was inaccurate, so I just changed it once I found out,. I had said, "To letter the unlettered an impossible plea" - but the prophet was not unlettered. When you know better, you do better.
صلى الله عليه و سلم Thank you cheikh Hamza Youcef Unfortunately, I am not good in English, so I can't understand all the poem. Is it possible to send the poem? Thank you cheikh Hamza.

This is so so beautiful! Shaykh Hamza you have always shown me the way. Thank you! I love the sound of your voice saying “Muhammad” saw.
He is not the Ghazali of our time are you insane??
How happy will the prophet be when he hears you recite this inshallah in Jannah. May allah gather us all there to see it.
This is how we should all respond to attacks and insult against the prophet (saw).

Upon his form, completely gazed
Not knowing if the sun had risen,...
With those who prayed, and fasted too,
Simply because he told them to.
....
With truth and kindness, charity
From God, Who gave such clarity,
His mercy comes in one He sent
To mold our hearts more heaven bent.
...
I envy all, there at his side
Who watched the turning of the tide
I envy the cup that gave him drink,
His thoughts, that helped us all to think.
To be one thought that passed his mind

I envy clouds formed from the seas

Of a sun whose light could not compete
With his, whose face did shine so bright
That all was clear in blinding night
I envy sightless trees that gazed
Upon his form completely dazed
Not knowing if the sun had risen
But felt themselves in unison
With those who prayed, and fasted too
Simply because he told them to
With truth and kindness, charity
From God who gave such clarity
His mercy comes in one He sent
To mold our hearts more heaven bent
I envy all there at his side
Who watched the turning of the tide
As truth prevailed and falsehood fled
And hope restored life to the dead
Men and Women through him found grace
To seek together God’s noble face
I envy the cup that gave him drink
His thoughts that helped us all to think
To be one thought that passed his mind
Inspiring him to act so kind
For me this world is not one jot
If I could simply be a thought
From him to God throughout the ages
As revelation came in stages
I pity all who think it odd
To hear him say there is one God
Or he was sent by God to men
To hone their spirits’ acumen
It’s pride that blinds us from the sight
That helps good men to see his light
He taught us all to be God’s slaves
And he will be the one who saves
Humanity from sinful pride
Muhammad has God on his side
So on this day be blessed and sing
For he was born to grace our Spring
With lilies, flowers, life’s rebirth
In a dome of green like his on earth
~~Shaykh Hamza Yusuf
