Bro there is a reason for Thor’s Stormbreaker was able to overpower all 6 Infinity Stones- Thanos was holding back. Thanos has clearly been holding back the whole movie and he didn’t want to kill Thor after he lost so much. Thanos also had a tiny amount of respect for the undying warrior, so he held back ever so slightly. Thanos was unprepared and weak. He had just taken the full price of handling the Infinity Stones into his body and was then sent flying back by a massive lightning bolt. He was still disoriented and not in the best shape or state of mind. Stormbreaker was designed to absorb the Infinity Stones. Eitri designed the weapon to be a king’s weapon for when Thor ascends to the role of the Allfather and to be used against Thanos. Eitri built the Infinity Gauntlet as well, so it is likely that he manufactured some weaknesses to be exploited by Stormbreaker.
