After taking a course with North Jersey Pro Riders, instructor Mike Grasso advised that the Softbrake would make a difference in my riding experience and I truly can’t thank him enough! The difference in the discomfort I experienced while using the Softbrake as opposed to the stock brake is unbelievable!
Just want to say thank you for a professional and helpful video. I have only seen few and I have noticed that your videos stand out because you put down the size and tools needed clearly in a banner and you put out the parts and screws that need to be removed. Very nice
I did the clutch and the rear brake pedal on my 2020 cvo street glide. It made it easier to do slow operation. The installation was not so bad but alignment of bolts and clutch plunger was a little difficult. Great video
Hey Tom, thank you! I'll be honest, I have not tried the Kuryakyn pedal. I would imagine it is similar. The soft brake is excellent quality. This is my second season with it and still love it. I've rode a couple of my buddies bikes since I've changed mine and it's a very noticeable difference. Thanks for watching brother!
Hey Joe, thanks again for your help with this. This is the second level we've installed and your instruction makes is a lot easier to get it in (that's what she said).
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures I came across your channel and enjoyed it. After seeing it I may purchase the items you showed and because of your excellent instructions I just may do it myself. I also subscribed to your channel
@@Riker-eq2yv I appreciate it brother. Installation isn't bad at all. I'm no mechanic and was able to do it. I appreciate your kind words and subscribing!
I didn’t have any issues. Maybe someone removed the bolts on yours before and either cross threaded them or used red loctite? Mine were pretty easy to break loose.
Kuryaken makes a rear brake lever that is far superior to Soft Brake. Even has a zerk fitting so you can keep it lubricated. Also, it doesn't extend the reach of the lever, it simply puts the pad closer to the floorboard.
I have a kuryaken and it’s an improvement but with 14 wide boots I wish it was longer and lower even still. If the soft brake is longer than the kuryaken I’m gonna have to try that.
Never tried Kuryaken. All I know is SoftBrake's version I absolutely love. They make different ones for people that need the extended reach. Not everyone needs it. Appreciate you watching and leaving your feedback!
Damn, I was hoping it was the standard. I have lowers on my bike, so in order to do a +1 I need spacers and the wide pedal. But I also run ciro floorboard mounted highway pegs, so I would need an additional spacer for that. I'll have to give them a call to see what my options are!

I was a believer after I installed both. It's amazing the difference. Thank you for your feedback and for watching!

No problem at all. I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad that I could help!

I am familiar with soft brake. A few guys I ride with have changed to these. The Rear brake pedal seems like a great upgrade. Ride safe brother. 👍👊🇺🇸
Nice video Joe Goe. I was wondering how you think the Softbreak compares with the Kuryakyn break pedals?

I just ordered my Softbrake clutch lever and will order the foot brake based on your video. Great job. I subscribed.
Thanks for watching and subscribing brother! You definitely won't be disappointed.
@6:45. That’s what he said
Great improvements Brother. I have the rear Soft Brake but I need to get the front brake lever!

No problem Mike! And I see what you did there 😂
Nice job Joe!!!
That looks cool!
Are these two products only for Harley’s?
To my knowledge, yes. I would shoot softbrake an email to see if it's exclusively for Harley's though.
I think the flat washer should be on the same side as the cotter pin
Yeah, I might have messed up. But, it's still working! Good eye!

I've had this on my last 5 bikes. About to order another one.
They are fantastic!
Isn't the little washer needed before the new cotter pin install?
Nice catch. Yes, you would put the washer on.
you forgot the small washer before the cotter pin
Yes I did. Good catch!
how did you get the 3 support screws out without them snapping on you?

Is this the same length and angle as the Kuryakan?
I’m not sure, I’m not familiar with the Kuryakan version
Great video!
What is the difference between regular and +1, +2, +3 etc….
The difference is the length of the actual level. Give them a call, and they will let you know which size will work best for you.
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventuresthanks!
@@josephgalligher1058 no problem!

If they made one for a 2021 Fatboy i'd agree with you, but they don't. So soft brake it is.

Hey! Just wondering if you did the lever exchange to your 2023 cvo?
I have not. I'm going to check to see if it will work.
What year Harley is that?
It’s a 2017 street glide FLHX
Great info Joe, I have a 99 Electa Glide, cable clutch, don’t know if the clutch would benefit me, what do you think?
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures I definitely want the foot brake,,, but my hands are good (that’s what she said!) 👍🏼🤣💪🏼
Just wondering if the pedal you installed was the standard length or +1" the placement looks exactly like where i want my pedal to be!
It was a +1. If you call them, Rick is extremely knowledgeable.

GOOD VIDEO BUT, YOU PUT THE WASHER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREW INSTAED THE TOP WHERE THE COTTER PIN IS LOCATED.
