The reason the Cullens went to high school was because when the family started off in a new town, they have to appear normal and the younger they make the "kids" seem when they move in, the longer they can live there without it being obvious that they aren't aging I can't believe I remember random Twilight things from like 15 years ago, but couldn't tell you any of the "important" stuff I learned in school those years LOL Also, Happy Bday!! :)

That always pissed me off (many things about Twilight pissed me off lmao) but I guess it's fair cos I was never a true fan. LOL but hey at least four of the five kids in the household bawled about it, hours after the fact and having not even witnessed it. What about the kid who didn't? She was too busy laughing maniacly, so it was probably her fault he fried.

Sounds like the norse mythological concept of immortality. How the gods and valkyrie were functionally immortal and immune to sicknesses, poison, and aging, but could be killed by one another or die in battle (the most honorable way to go, if you were gonna)

I'd also recommend the St. Germaine books--I don't know if they also have a visual version anywhere, but it's from the point of view of a vampire who lives through all different eras of history, and ends up as a classy, dangerous badass who speaks a bazillion languages and can dance and fight in styles from cultures that haven't existed for centuries. They're not perfect, but he's DEFINITELY one of the coolest vampire characters _I've_ ever seen.

Honestly, after Vlad married into one of my Sim families and I gave him a slight makeover and personality change, he became one of my favorite Sims. He's got sort of a hippie punk thing going on now, and he's a devoted husband and father. His only victims nowadays are the paparazzi, because he and his wife are famous XD

Actually the question of What happens to immortals after the earth dies is a rather fun one. Now I want a side-note in a sci-fi space pew pew adventure kind of a book/film about a job that is just about saving imortals floating in space after planets/ solar systems explode.
I feel like Houseki no Kuni is a anime/manga that does a great job at showing how immortality really isn't that great. Even if you are unable to die physically there will be parts of you as a person that in a way die. So it won't really matter if your body can keep on goin forever if your mind changes to the point where you're no longer the same person you used to be. Really though, i'd seriously recommend HnK

Mummies in the Sims 4 when? I miss World Adventure so much and all I ever did was raid tombs in Egypt (and tried to break into the Landgraab mansion in Sunset Valley once but they had too many of those fire traps and I got super scared of what sort of dark shizzy they were hiding so I backed the F off because in the Sims 3 you could feel afraid for your Sim’s wellbeing). I wish the bookshelf doors in the Sims 4 worked kinda like the tomb entrances where your Sims had to inspect the entrance before they knew it was an entrance. Yes RUclips made me edit the swears.
The thing with Vlad is that he doesn't have ancestors, he IS the ancestors. He is Vladislaus Straud I, II, etc. He just pretends to die and have his reclusive son take over the estate so no one questions his immortality.

5:28 how Vlad is so OP, well I made a household that moved in with him, he turned them and they trained under him until they couldn’t. After maxing vampire lore, they took his powers away. He roams the world mortal, and yeah he was very sad about it. Especially after getting kicked off his lot
I found out how you can avoid Vlad from sneaking into your house! When he is standing in front of your door, u have to hit pause, click on him and tell him to leave It always works for me>.
If you click the front door and select no trespassing, then disallow vampires, no vampires will visit your house. Disallow solicitors will stop Bess Sterling or Knox Greenberg as well as the Welcome Wagon iirc.

I AGREE with the werewolves! I enjoy playing out my own comic characters lives in the sims4 (7 siblings, growing up and branching into several other houses. Its chaos) but it's not complete because they're ALL SUPPOSE TO BE WEREWOLVES 😫
I read a story on Wattpad once that was really good (it actually was, I have the first half home because I bought one of the few copies the person made) and there's Eric who's almost like a vampire, he's a half demon or something (and he's goals, forever in love with him) and it's actually a little inspired by Twilight I think, like the premise is similar in the immortal guy falls in love with a high schooler. Like, they're eighteen. But the first half of the book, you have no idea. They're enemies and then they slowly get closer, become friends and then the lines of friendship and love get blurry. And the point I was trying to make is that he has a family that's also immortal, his adoptive dad, his sister and him. And he's been to many different types of highschools, I think collages as well and he knows so much stuff. Like he's actually smart and it's very attractive. It's really well written how he's depressed about his life and the fact that he doesn't age, but at the same time he's curious and is adapting to new things and learns new things. Ahh sorry, simping over a fictional character from a book I read years ago. I should read it again tbh. Still waiting to get the second part on paper.

I know Vlad is kind of based on Count Orlok from Nosferatu, by his looks, but I agree with you that he just looks strange. They didn’t really get the full Nosferatu vibe, nor the suave Dracula vibe. I kinda want to try my hand at an attempt at a Vladdy makeover alongside his house. One common thing in vampire stories is that the vampires become lonely and sad because, well, they can live forever and humans are so very short lived in comparison. What do you do when your best friend died 200 years ago and you still catch yourself making jokes they’d get but nobody else will? What about when you get a song stuck in your head and nobody else knows it because it was never formally written down? What about some food that literally cannot be made anymore because the ingredients or cooking method no longer exists? Leaning into all that stuff is what makes vampires interesting.
Just realized that you kinda made Vlad look like an aged Matthew de Clermont from A Discovery of Witches! Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it works alarmingly well.
Every time I think about immortality I can’t Not think about “the tree song” from Kaiba (which is my favorite show, please watch it you will cry it’s amazing) Basically the song is all about the pain of being immortal. I like Vlad when I got the vampire pack I had my sim befriend Vlad through a shared passion for Organ music and then get turned into a vampire. Then move in with him alongside her human family. Vlad became like a creepy uncle it was great.
5:31 - Yes you can kick him out of your house.. I did it when he was just 3 feet from my sleeping sim = Hover mouse pointer on him > press n hold SHIFT > LMB > Destroy Object = He'll disappear when he goes to do the next animation sequence, like stop walking to sim to then grab my sim. Don't worry about using 'Destroy Object' on a sim, they are still in the game; just it only gets rid of them from the location. 'Destroy Object' only really works on, well, objects.. the object never returns, thus you either have to buy another or just keep it gone. The other thing I do with vampires is... 'Remove Trait'.. you'll need to do that twice because they have 2 vampire traits and each one seems to be different - I wish the game would actually have a written reason to what the actual trait does like half or most traits do.
There's a character in Dr Who that explores the immortality idea, a Viking girl is resurrected by the Dr via Alien tech and becomes immortal but with human memory she can't remember the centuries she has been alive for so only knows her past by reading her diaries, as though she were reading about someone else. e.g. she talks about the fact that she had kids and they died of plague she realises she must have been sad because it says so in her diary but she can't remember it or even what they looked like. Eventually she even forgets her name and calls herself 'me' unless she is using a fake name to con people. She also doesn't care about people because their lifespan is so short why get attached. If you look up Ashildr and Dr Who you can find details of the episodes she's been in.
I got a Sim pregnant by Vlad and her baby gave me Village of the Dammed vibes when she got Vlad's hair and she's a vampire 😱so when she ages up, I will make her dark form with Red eyes! 😉 Happy Birthday FakeGamerGirl🥳
My first time seeing this video and I had to pause at 5:40 to say definitively that Vlad can NOT stand in the sunlight. I had one new game where he showed up the first night but my Sims were still awake. He stood on the porch until he fried in the yard the next morning. I was very upset because his very cool urn landed JUST outside the plot boundary and all I could ever do was look at it and laugh. XD
He " inherited" the house from himself. He moved into forgotten hollow with his colony, built his house, became a vampire and killed everyone. It's unknown if he was cursed by a spellcaster and became the first vampire or the so called "vampire queen" mentioned in the game was the first one and she turned him. She might be in the secret world of Forgotten Hollow that wasn't added to the game. I really hope some modder data mines that shit, and recreates the cancelled secret world and the story.

TRUE immortality...well, for example, commenters on the "Age of the Universe--Time in Perspective" video were like "I wanna be immortal!" (sees video) "...nevermind." When people say "I wanna live forever", I think most of them were probably NOT thinking of like, proton-decay and iron stars. Ever seen that video where the Earth gets melted by the sun exploding within like, 3 minutes of an almost HALF HOUR VIDEO? Yeah that's immortality.

I AGREE with the werewolves! I enjoy playing out my own comic characters lives in the sims4 (7 siblings, growing up and branching into several other houses. Its chaos) but it's not complete because they're ALL SUPPOSE TO BE WEREWOLVES 😫
I read a story on Wattpad once that was really good (it actually was, I have the first half home because I bought one of the few copies the person made) and there's Eric who's almost like a vampire, he's a half demon or something (and he's goals, forever in love with him) and it's actually a little inspired by Twilight I think, like the premise is similar in the immortal guy falls in love with a high schooler. Like, they're eighteen. But the first half of the book, you have no idea. They're enemies and then they slowly get closer, become friends and then the lines of friendship and love get blurry. And the point I was trying to make is that he has a family that's also immortal, his adoptive dad, his sister and him. And he's been to many different types of highschools, I think collages as well and he knows so much stuff. Like he's actually smart and it's very attractive. It's really well written how he's depressed about his life and the fact that he doesn't age, but at the same time he's curious and is adapting to new things and learns new things. Ahh sorry, simping over a fictional character from a book I read years ago. I should read it again tbh. Still waiting to get the second part on paper.

I know Vlad is kind of based on Count Orlok from Nosferatu, by his looks, but I agree with you that he just looks strange. They didn’t really get the full Nosferatu vibe, nor the suave Dracula vibe. I kinda want to try my hand at an attempt at a Vladdy makeover alongside his house.
One common thing in vampire stories is that the vampires become lonely and sad because, well, they can live forever and humans are so very short lived in comparison. What do you do when your best friend died 200 years ago and you still catch yourself making jokes they’d get but nobody else will? What about when you get a song stuck in your head and nobody else knows it because it was never formally written down? What about some food that literally cannot be made anymore because the ingredients or cooking method no longer exists? Leaning into all that stuff is what makes vampires interesting.
Just realized that you kinda made Vlad look like an aged Matthew de Clermont from A Discovery of Witches! Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it works alarmingly well.

I like Vlad when I got the vampire pack I had my sim befriend Vlad through a shared passion for Organ music and then get turned into a vampire. Then move in with him alongside her human family. Vlad became like a creepy uncle it was great.
5:31 - Yes you can kick him out of your house.. I did it when he was just 3 feet from my sleeping sim = Hover mouse pointer on him > press n hold SHIFT > LMB > Destroy Object = He'll disappear when he goes to do the next animation sequence, like stop walking to sim to then grab my sim. Don't worry about using 'Destroy Object' on a sim, they are still in the game; just it only gets rid of them from the location. 'Destroy Object' only really works on, well, objects.. the object never returns, thus you either have to buy another or just keep it gone.
The other thing I do with vampires is... 'Remove Trait'.. you'll need to do that twice because they have 2 vampire traits and each one seems to be different - I wish the game would actually have a written reason to what the actual trait does like half or most traits do.

There's a character in Dr Who that explores the immortality idea, a Viking girl is resurrected by the Dr via Alien tech and becomes immortal but with human memory she can't remember the centuries she has been alive for so only knows her past by reading her diaries, as though she were reading about someone else. e.g. she talks about the fact that she had kids and they died of plague she realises she must have been sad because it says so in her diary but she can't remember it or even what they looked like. Eventually she even forgets her name and calls herself 'me' unless she is using a fake name to con people. She also doesn't care about people because their lifespan is so short why get attached. If you look up Ashildr and Dr Who you can find details of the episodes she's been in.

My first time seeing this video and I had to pause at 5:40 to say definitively that Vlad can NOT stand in the sunlight. I had one new game where he showed up the first night but my Sims were still awake. He stood on the porch until he fried in the yard the next morning. I was very upset because his very cool urn landed JUST outside the plot boundary and all I could ever do was look at it and laugh. XD
I went all CAS fulleditmode on Vlad today and accidentally on purpose made him a hunk. Things are about to get messy in my save file!

Vladdy Daddy is the perfect new title for him
He " inherited" the house from himself. He moved into forgotten hollow with his colony, built his house, became a vampire and killed everyone. It's unknown if he was cursed by a spellcaster and became the first vampire or the so called "vampire queen" mentioned in the game was the first one and she turned him. She might be in the secret world of Forgotten Hollow that wasn't added to the game. I really hope some modder data mines that shit, and recreates the cancelled secret world and the story.
