I have no idea how mommas like you can do all that you do! I feel somedays I can barely get dishes done.
I feel ya lol
Right!!
Right there with ya!
I used to do that... it us a really supportive partner...
Having Littles is hard, if we take the time to slow down and teach them, soon they will become the BIG help that we need. But that in of itself is sooo hard. We are often times way too distracted with many things in life that would take our time away from doing homestead like things like the things in their videos .
Rebecca is adorable! I love how she's doing the the most important kitchen task - taste testing! 😊
She is so sweet. Nobody likes rotten food. 😊looks delicious!
She is so cute. I love how you looked over at her when she started humming. Kids are so good at adding little unexpected moments of humor!
Yeah no she def got in trouble you can tell by her face. Changed quickly
Cherry almond sounds even better with a pinch of anise or fennel.
Oh my goodness… she is so adorable. 😄
Your little helper is adorable. I love this video, esp because Rebecca is helping.... simply because thats real life.
Great video, thank you! Rebecca is so adorable!! And she’s funny too 😂 what a hoot - “but not the rotten ones” haha. Bless her little cotton socks ❤️
I’ve been watching you’re videos for awhile I love them but when you said “ask me how I know” about the mason jar explosion I realized I love you; you’re my kinda person 😆
I''m not a fan of carbonation/effervescence, so I drink shrub that I learned how to make on Off Grid with Doug & Stacy. Apparently, that can also be mixed with sparkling mineral water to make a "soda replacement", but I'll just be using my usual filtered tap water. I'll have to tell my sister about this though - I bet her grandkids might like a special drink, and I know she'll like them not having soda.
Love the info in the video, but Rebecca was a big help! My favorite part is when she starts humming, made me smile, she's so sweet!
That little girl is precious. Thank you for bringing her along. 🥰💐🙏
Oh my goodnes, your daughter is too cute!!!
I ordered a starter kit from cultures for health around 2 weeks ago and my kids (ages 1, 5, and 17) love the kombucha. I flavor it with blueberries and vanilla for the second ferment. Now if I could get my husband to give up Pepsi for kombucha it would be a total win. Thanks so much for the video. I would love to hear/see some other flavor combinations.
Rebecca is so cute! I love how she is eating the dried cherries. The drink looks delicious. I am going to have to try to make some. I gave up soda in September but love having a drink with flavor at time.
Bless her little heart “not the rotten ones” LOLOL AND MOM WITH THAT POKER FACE LOLOL
Just placed an order at Farmhouse Teas. Thanks for the discount code. My SCOBY is arriving tomorrow through Amazon. So excited to start brewing and 2nd fermenting with these amazing flavor packs... I LOVE your channel. I just bought a 1/2 acre in North East Oklahoma and will be starting my Off Grid Homestead in August! Always learning a ton from y'all . Appreciate you and Josh. I know it's a lot of time and effort to produce the quality wisdom you do! God bless 🙏
Hope you enjoy it!
Rebecca is such an adorable sweet little girl. So precious!
The kombucha looks good too.
Watching her "help" by eating the cherries i s adorable 😂
I make watermelon 🍉 kombucha
here in mexico! My favorite... going to try passion fruit soon
That sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing ❤
I make kombucha and I second ferment also.
I make a flovored simple syrup to use .
Flowers or Fruit steeped in the simple syrup for flavor
Hibiscus or Lavendar or roses tastes beautiful
Sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing! I usually 2nd ferment with squeezed ginger slices, squeezed lemon juice & about 1/2 tsp. Demerara sugar. It tastes a lot like ginger ale but much healthier. I used fresh pineapple once & it fermented so fast that a couple of my bottles exploded! Fresh fruit needs less time at room temperature, I’ve found☺️
Thanks for the tip on fresh fruit.
Thanks for sharing your experience with pineapples. It makes sense. It has a lot of natural sugars and enzymes
Carolyn, I love it when you have your children join you on your presentations! Rebekah is so cute! I am wondering where you got your continuous brew pot? Is it a two gallon size? what is your faucet made of? I love watching your show every week! 🌷
We like to make SHRUB, or SWITCHEL.
So sweet , Glad see you have your helper/ student in the kitchen . Such an adorable surprise addition ,Thank you
She is so adorable. What a fantastic helper.
Oh woww...she understood that look...
I’m guessing this would be a great root beer starter too, right? Your little Rebecca is a doll!
I love seeing you guys update videos like this! It's really cool seeing how you guys still love the cherry almond flavor
Beautiful Family. Heart Warming. Inspiring.
Beautiful helper. Happy Mother’s Day blessings
Love your little helper!!
I absolutely love you and your channel. Your whole family is adorable together and thank you so much for sharing everything so selflessly. I'm so grateful for you. 🌼
Absolutely adorable and beautiful helpful Rebecca !! So much cuteness !!
Great video, thanks for sharing! Great to see you and Josh take time to teach your little ones too!
She is seriously the cutest little sweetheart! 💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you!!! Kombucha from the beginning!
Love almond and cherry together. I grew up on an almond orchard, and absolutely love them.
So precious ❤️
Happy Mother's Day take it easy with all those young as you have love your show
Beautiful little girl. She's after my own heart--- munching on those cherries!
Would love to try this with our kids!
I started a second brew, using these flavors. Looking forward to tasteing it.
Adorable!
She is so adorable.
She is adorable & her voice is just so sweet but omg she looks so much like her dad.
All right so we knew you were a wonderful canner cooker and all the things that go with it. we knew you or a mother. the video with you and your daughter how adorable is she showed us how wonderful of a mother you are as well. as a bus driver we all know the cuteness is the only thing that saves them sometimes when they get in trouble. Lol
Guess you’re a good cook from the way you sound
Much love ❤️ and good vibes 😁
This looks similar to the soda I make from a ginger bug. I start the bug with ginger and then divide it off and feed it with other fruits like grape or strawberry. Love my homemade soda pop.
Hi! I would love to do fruit kombucha! Have you ever done watermelon or lemon? Both those sound super refreshing to me, but I don't want to waste.
@@pspears2153 I have never done kaombucha. Sorry.
@@lindachandler2293 oh you do a ginger bug? I guess I thought they were similar. I am just curious how I could end up with a watermelon or lemon flavore fizzy drink. Do you think the ginger bug would do that?
@@pspears2153 You can add a little gingerbug to any flavor juice and get that flavor soda pop. I like grape so I convert my ginger bug over to a grape bug by only feeding it grapes instead of ginger. Remember if you want a sweet soda your juice has to be very sweet to start with.
Good job! That was perfect and priceless....I laughed real hard during the humming.
Rebecca is my spirit animal hahaha i love it
This video goes so much more smoothly at 1.25 playback time. Cute kid.
I've just started rehydrating a scoby I bought for my first kambucha try! I too would like something fizzy to drink this summer and I hope my guy's like it.
Rebekah (sp) is adorable! I had to watch a second time (I had the time) because I missed so much watching her with the funnel and cherry bits. Loved it!
I think I’m going to try and making the primary. If I can get through that, then I’ll try the secondary. Thank you for sharing all that you do!!!
Your daughter is so cute!!! I love Dr Pepper but had to stop sodas in 2015 due to being diabetic. I do make my own Kumbachi and I can’t wait to try your recipes!!! For my second fermentation I drop in a flavored tea bag from Republic of Tea. I’m definitely going to order one of those boxes you showed. I’m all about great flavors!! Thank yoy
We love Farmhouse tea!! I have the apple pie flavor. I now need to get the cherry flavor 😊
Sue is so cute and so sweet
We have 3 - 2gallon continuous kombucha brew jars. Some of the 2nd ferment flavors we like are: Strawberry, Blueberry Pie, Apple Cherry, Apple Pie, Pina Colada, Pineapple Mango, Chocolate Raspberry, Pumpkin Pie. That's all I can remember. We've been making it for lots of years. 😋
Where do you get those flavours please?
I would like to see more mommy blogger style information from you. Like how you manage your schedule and chores. How you've dealt with farm chores during pregnancy and baby phases, especially with the first few kids, before there were older siblings to help out.
You seems to have a relaxed disposition, which makes em think you have great schedules.
Did you come from a big family, or did you have to figure out how to manage yours from scratch on your own?
I will have to order some cherry almond from Farmhouse Twas!!! I love them too!!
Thank you for sharing
Happy Mother's day...have a great day...
I have that exact same crock canister and wooden stand!
Burping and saying "RRRROWWW" adoreabubble 😍
I LOVE YOU CHANNEL!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Love you guys from Australia
Yummy!
Thank you👍🏼💜🌸😉
I love Dr Pepper but am trying to cut back because I’m pregnant. My husband has gotten hooked on store bought kombucha. I wanted to make it but have been stalling after I got a scoby from a friend. Now I think I might like it too. Thank you for your encouragement
I just got my first Scoby and your video came up! I’m so excited to try your favorite flavor. Do y’all think sour cherry would work with the almond extract the same as cherry?
Don't allow kombucha onto a property with a septic tank. It will grown into a giant mushroom which you'll have to chop up when you empty your septic tank. That scoby really GROWS.
For the continued brew can I use a glass jar or should I use something light sensitive like yours?
My goodness...Rebecca is so sweet
Rebecca is adorable!
Once you strain it into the final bottle, how long does it last on the shelf? Does it need to be refrigerated? Could you bottle it for long term storage?
I love kombucha. It's so easy to make. I also make water keifer. Yum
What is water kefir? Please share
For almost 2 years I made 60 bottles of kombucha a month and sold it to friends to help support my son who was on the mission field. I used all kinds of flavors, strawberry, blueberries, mangoes and ginger were some of the favorites. I was convinced that it was a very healthy drink until I did research and found out that it is absolute death of the diabetics which I am one. Very very high in carbohydrates and very very high in sugar. Just because the bacteria eats the sugar doesn’t mean that the sugar goes away. I really miss drinking that particular drink it was so yummy and fizzy!!!
As I was watching this I kept thinking, “no way is this healthy”
@@nobodyreally8441 No it actually is very healthy got wonderful probiotics in it it’s just not really good for diabetics and it certainly is a lot better than drinking soda
@@donnastormer9652 sorry, no way can drinking all that sugar be healthy. Hint hint. Not good for diabetes? Translates into not healthy for humans. Sugar on top of sugar on top of fructose from those cherries. It’s ok, keep believing what you believe.
@@nobodyreally8441 Everything in moderation. She said to take just a couple ounces at meal time. No one, not even diabetics can cut out ALL sugar from their diet. THAT'S unhealthy. If they did, they wouldn't be able to eat any fruit, root vegetables or a myriad of other things. Diabetes care is about REGULATING your blood sugars. Before passing comment like you're the definitive authority on something, how's about you actually do some research and while you're at it, apologise to Donna. She IS diabetic. She was very kind to point it out at all.
@@a.b.9707 I think you need to do your research. You can cut out almost all carbs AND it is very healthy to do so!!! I’ve lived on 20 or less carbs a day for four years and never felt better in my entire life ( I’m 59). People DO NOT need carbs. Your diabetes would probably improve if you eliminated carbs from your diet. Please watch Dr Ken Berry’s videos and you can thank me later.
Rebecca is adorable 🥰
Question: can we take the original kombucha into a soda stream bottle and carbonate it that way? Such a great video with your daughters candid humming and comments. Your family is super cute. Thank you for the recipe!
Your daughter is a cutie. The drink looked amazing.
You are a lovey mother.
You and your family are amazing!! Can you use green tea for this instead of black?!
Is little kids I "made" my kids drink fermented kombucha or kefir a few times a week at first they didn't love it but they learned to love it now as young adults they choose to drink it and my eldest makes her own kefir water "sodas" .
Are you able to use ginger bug instead of the kombucha? As your initial ferment?
Thank you for your knowledge. Your daughter Rebecca is so beautiful ❤️
Likewise you
I learned to strain mine before drinking by having a little baby scoby fall into my cup 😂
Hey there! I’m wondering if these can be made with kombucha that’s bought from the farmers market if we haven’t made our own?
Rebecca and I are on the sMe page. Just eat these now and then we don't have all the dishes to worry about
She is so cute!!!
Please share the link to where you got your crock, lid and stand. Thank you!
How do you only consume in small quantities? I can only imagine how awesome that tastes!
I like the word kombucha
What size bottles are the swing neck bottles
Can’t wait to try this! One question, how do you clean the fruit chunks out of the bottle afterwards?
She uses the mortar and pestle to get the dried fruit small in size before she puts it in that bottle. Then use a funnel to strain it
Can you clarify please? Is it ok to drink a bottle a day ? How much is ok and how much is to much? I love kombucha but don’t want to over do it 😊 thank you
Where did you find your continuous brew vessel?
How do you keep your spout from getting clogged up? I'm guessing a tiny Scooby pellicles grows in mine, making it terribly hard to bust through. Any advice??
Curious since you used freeze dried cherries if you couldn't just pulverize them to a dust before adding to the kombucha and not strain it.
How do you clean these bottles?
Proverbs 31:10-31
An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet. She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.
