The craziest stuff I’ve ever seen happened when I lived in Florida. 😂 And the politicians there are just as crazy, except in South FL. But the beaches are absolutely beautiful, especially on the gulf coast. And there is SO MUCH to do and see, so you’ll never be bored. The heat and humidity is no joke, especially in the summer. If you plan on being hooked up to shore power, which is highly suggest you do in the summer because you won’t be able to stand it without a/c, be sure to book your spot asap. I’ve seen campgrounds fully booked a year in advance. You may already know all of this, but I just wanted to share what I know with you just in case. Congrats on starting your new adventure in the sunshine state!! It really is beautiful. 🌴🌞🐬🌺🌊
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Feel temps from late May into mid October will feel in the low 100's with the humidity. Actual temp will be around 97. AC is an absolute MUST and don't forget the mosquitos during that time. They are no joke. Campground reservations go SUPER fast too, you are absolutely right.
Florida is a Great place. Lots of campgrounds (pretty cheap$ and some free) weather is awesome. Lots to do and the trip down will be amazing 🌴🌻 I'm pretty much a "Loner" I dont find myself being lonely but most people dont understand that. Yes, the humidity down there can really be stifling. When my 10-year daughter and I landed in Florida for vacation (we live in Los Angeles), as soon as we got off the plane, my daughter said, "Mommy, the air is hugging me." I thought that was the best description of humidity I had ever heard!
Hubby and I lived in Dover Florida for a couple of years. Moved back to Georgia but originally from Ohio. God willing, we will be full timing in 10.5 months and will domicile in Florida. Yes, the humidity is rough but Florida is nice!

There is nothing wrong with being a private person. Give only the information you feel comfortable in offering. Pets (dogs, cats, no mice) are lovely! Congrats on your proposed move. We relocated our home base to Florida 4-5 years ago and have really enjoyed it. Vanlife here is alive and well. Now, camping sites are hard to get in winter because the weather is normally great and everyone wants to be here. The summer is too hot, but you, like us, have a home on wheels that can head north! I used to live in Tampa FL. If you travel to that area check out Ybor City and treat yourself to the Columbian restaurant. Not far from there is Sally O'Neil's pizza the closest thing to New York pizza.

Did you look into establishing residency in South Dakota? All it takes is a one night stay at an RV park, you can register your vehicle by mail, and it's extremely advantageous for tax purposes. It's the easiest state in the country to establish residency.

You only need to be in South Dakota for 24 hours to establish residency, so it's a quick in-and-out solution for travellers. Once you get your driver's license it's good for 5 years, so you only need to spend 24 hours there once every 5 years to maintain a valid driver's license.

I relocated to Florida too! Hope all goes well for you. I'm not sure what part of Florida your are deciding to go to but it is hard to find places to stay overnight. I was told it easier find places in the midwest because of all the BLM land. I'm introvert too and I do understand your thought process behind things. It's hard for some people who are not introverts to wrap their heads around our behaviors and us enjoying alone time. I've been contemplating for months if I should start a RUclips channel documenting my van life and you inspire me. Most people don't realize being introverted and having a RUclips channel is out of the comfort zone for most introverts.

I lived in Jacksonville for over 30 years. Great state for van life. You will love the beaches. Many allow driving on the beach.....possible over night stays. Hope it all works out with your move . 🙏🏾

Congrats on your proposed move. We relocated our home base to Florida 4-5 years ago and have really enjoyed it. Vanlife here is alive and well. Now, camping sites are hard to get in winter because the weather is normally great and everyone wants to be here. The summer is too hot, but you, like us, have a home on wheels that can head north! I used to live in Tampa FL. If you travel to that area check out Ybor City and treat yourself to the Columbian restaurant. Not far from there is Sally O'Neil's pizza the closest thing to New York pizza.

This Floridian is super excited for you! What a great adventure. When we went tiny it was a process and I figured it would take as long as it took. I am an introvert and I am never lonely. Most people don’t understand. I just want to sit quietly in my tiny space and listen to some jazz😅
Did you look into establishing residency in South Dakota? All it takes is a one night stay at an RV park, you can register your vehicle by mail, and it's extremely advantageous for tax purposes. It's the easiest state in the country to establish residency.

You only need to be in South Dakota for 24 hours to establish residency, so it's a quick in-and-out solution for travellers. Once you get your driver's license it's good for 5 years, so you only need to spend 24 hours there once every 5 years to maintain a valid driver's license.

I relocated to Florida too! Hope all goes well for you. I'm not sure what part of Florida your are deciding to go to but it is hard to find places to stay overnight. I was told it easier find places in the midwest because of all the BLM land. I'm introvert too and I do understand your thought process behind things. It's hard for some people who are not introverts to wrap their heads around our behaviors and us enjoying alone time. I've been contemplating for months if I should start a RUclips channel documenting my van life and you inspire me. Most people don't realize being introverted and having a RUclips channel is out of the comfort zone for most introverts.

Floridian here!! Born and raised. You will love it. Many restaurants, chick-fil-a :), attractions, football - Go Gators!! Go Jaguars!! Camping, beaches etc. When/if a hurricane does come you will have plenty of time to leave. Happy and excited for you! You are loved and valued also.

As a Canadian never been to Florida but spent a few winters in Texas. Such a large state loved it, San Antonio, Rio Grande Valley, Galveston. Check out the blog RV Street on how to care for your Class B. Good Travels!

I lived in Jacksonville for over 30 years. Great state for van life. You will love the beaches. Many allow driving on the beach.....possible over night stays. Hope it all works out with your move . 🙏🏾
