Basically a WAGO built into a switch or receptacle. Genius.
Right, tha ks for the comment
This looks great. I have to redo a bunch of old plugs in our house. Looks like I know what I’m using now.
I wish they would provide a second ground terminal so you don’t have to have a separate wago/wirenut for the grounds when piggy backing outlets in plastic boxes 🤓
Yeah I agree, but I'm a big splice cap guy
These are what I want to put in my house.
Only down side is you have to use medium plates or cut the tab off the top and bottom
Nice. But is there a removable jumper between the top and bottom of the outlet?
At first glance no you can't use them as a switched plug, but it has a plastic piece right were that would be and might be a way
These commercial ?
@@ac7384 my guess is the Decora Edge is going to be residential and Lev Lok their commercial industrial product line
@@Espiritiv what’s the diff between industrial heavy duty. and commercial. They have both. And I can’t see what the diff is. Other than costing 1.00 more. ?
Doesn't look like lighted cover plates will work wit them?
Normal plates should work I'm not sure about the lighted ones
As a landlord, I love it. Only in Decora, or do they come in variations compatible with traditional plates?
Yeah for now it's only decorah there is another company called Hubble who makes them in regular but they're 12 bucks a piece
@@TheJacks Thanks. Might be worth changing plates as I replace outlets.
BUT , do these pass currents comparable to the standard variety , where wiring is installed correctly under screw heads ? It would be interesting to see the results of 100 % current passing tests , AND notice the contact temperature between the wire and the receptacle ports !
Actually they do according to leviton, the connections are the same they're just not external
If they’re listed for 12awg I’m sure they’re fine
@@TheJacks Are there any testing results that can be displayed for reference ? I don't install ANY receptacles that don't have testing results available . Also , what grade are they , residential or commercial ?
