The GBA Metabee version game was one that helped me get into rpgs like how the show got me into anime I still own my original Metabee version all these years later and I absolutely crack it out now and again and actually play it for quite some time. Never got to beat the final boss but I plan to very soon It's one of few games I genuinely cherish and heavily am protective of. I'd never part it even for all of King Midas' silver

I used to play so much Medabots AX when I was kid. The memories were basically repressed until now, 15 years later. I just remembered it and bought it off Ebay. Can't wait to play
Great video man! Metabots metabee and rokusho are very flawed but seriously underrated games nonetheless. They had so much potential if they worked out the kinks to rival pokemon. Great review and it’s refreshing to find a commentator who’s actually funny and not cringe. The muscle man joke and “call the cops ikki” had me rolling
Oh man. I had remembered the first game recently. Remember having lots of fun mixing and matching the parts of the different metabots. I'll have to revisit it if it's as rough as you say and nostalgia has blinded me
You know I’m starting to think I was a little too harsh on it, as I’ve been playing through some other games that I’m working on reviews for I started to realize how much fun it was in comparison lol. Definitely worth a revisit if you still have it around for sure!
Anyone else here remember the 3D Browser Medabots fighting game? If I remember correctly it was some sort of cross promotion with a fast food company. I remember it as Taco Bell, but I could be wrong. I can’t find anything of it on RUclips or any mention of it in comments. Please confirm that I am not crazy.
The McDonalds tie in was just a 2D puzzle type game with other Fox Kids toys, so I think you're on the right track with Taco Bell which specifically had a Medabots promo. Now you've got me curious lol I'll try to see what I can find out on my end. This might deserve a follow up video if we can find evidence of it!
I remember playing Medabots AX and hating it for a bit. Then as i played the practice matches alot, i was able to hone down decent tactics to win. Usually relying on Medabees head rockets, and the medaforce, while my partner robot handled crowd control and better armor. It was an interesting game, and what i loved about it the most, was being able to mismatch different parts and find some of the good ones. I do hope they make a more modern game for it.
English translation of medabots 2 as well as parts collection is must have but all what we have currently is Translation of original medabots from 1997

It super confusing UI so can't blame people for not figuring it all out, but I still play this one because I think the game play is so much fun. Also playing on a thumb stick is the best way to play so emulation or game cube GBA player is a must.

Having started 5 for the first time I can confirm at least your first medal can speak. I haven't found a guide so I'm not sure if more can as of yet, but I'll try to find out.
The 3rd game (the GBA Metabots) will actually force you to think and strategize your moves, when you lose a match in this game, it will punish you by taking a medapart out of you, it doesn't care which one, it can be metabee's head missile or a trashy leg parts. I only played the first minutes of the game when I was a kid because the swamp is hard to navigate with enemies that will actually clapped you hard but this game actually thought me how to strategize moves and how game interactions works. OP: 9:55 And you can still buy this on the Wii U shop.
Me: .......... lol
I have the AX both original gba version. But lost my rpg rokusho version 😢
We need to get the medarot game on the 3DS.
i had the first game and i was farming those clowns
Now MEDABOTS 2025 🤔⁉️
Shame I never got to play the Original mebabots on gba back then and any version I find is expensive as hell.
ax is good for playing as a set of mini game fighting. the rpg fighting system drags so long and yeah the gamecube game is just the worst lol. luckily i played all of these as a kid and have the memories and nostalgia x)
AX had a great fighting and platforming. I enjoyed it. I just kind felt like it came up short for an engaging game for story and adventure.
I felt like the medabots rpg gsme took way too long for the fight system. Wasnt a fan of it
Ok
Due for a revamp I think
Medabots as amzing
Palmita eres tú?
heh, striper go brrrrrrrrrrr
