Men naturally look for women to be a compliment to their life but when you have a kid a man has to be a compliment to you. He has to work around your schedule and how you do things. He has to change his life in many ways to accommodate yours. What man with options wants to do that?

Now, if she CHOOSES to get with someone that isn't suitable but satisfied her desperation, then that's on her. Having a child out-of-wedlock can have far-reaching consequences.
Being a stepdad is pure foolishness. If she decides to leave you she might still be able to claim child support even though you are not the child's biological father. How would that feel? She goes back to her baby daddy and you're paying for the child.

Recently watched another podcast from Vegas and one of the women openly admitted she KNEW she didn’t qualify for a great man because of her past. The men’s respect for her immediately increased 10-fold due to her self awareness. She knew that a great man had better options available than her and she accepted it.
Watching this clip and seeing Mariah’s’ reaction to keys when he speaks is all everyone needs to know. She has a preference that she’s attracted to and that is what landed her in single baby mama mode.
Mariah sounds like a sweet person, but she also sounds like she doesn’t understand what it takes to find the kind of guy she’s looking for & keep him. She talked about becoming what she feels is a good woman, but she doesn’t seem to recognize that she will have to go above & beyond to convince that caliber of man to take on her & her child. The kind of man she’s describing can find a woman like her with less baggage.
It's insanely sad how far most people are from having a reasonably clear picture of reality. Even a clearly sweet well meaning and earnest woman like that is so far off base. And yet rather than explore through discussion we argue for points, slowing that progress toward finding a sensible path down to a crawl. Not only do we not have the time to be vague and aimless but our time, the best time, is already up for the vast majority.
While I agree she’ll find someone, she’s not willing to be led. She said IF the right man comes she’ll “ALLOW” him to lead. Her language throughout the conversation is focused on self, is conditional, and transactional in her favor. Her mindset is expressly on what a man can do for her and her son. That’s why she couldn’t give a solid answer on what she will do for her husband because that’s not a part of the equation for her.

NOPE. Don’t even do that. There are many men who have ended up in family court because they “behaved in a father like capacity” to a neighborhood kid who wasn’t theirs. The mother decided he should continue by PAYING child support and he gets the pleasure of paying thousands in legal fees to fight it. And worst case, you catch a female judge on the wrong day and she may agree with the mother. Too many family court horror stories to worry about saving a kid from his/her mother’s mistakes.

NOPE. Don’t even do that. There are many men who have ended up in family court because they “behaved in a father like capacity” to a neighborhood kid who wasn’t theirs. The mother decided he should continue by PAYING child support and he gets the pleasure of paying thousands in legal fees to fight it. And worst case, you catch a female judge on the wrong day and she may agree with the mother. Too many family court horror stories to worry about saving a kid from his/her mother’s mistakes.
