Regarding a power outage, I highly recommend a UPS. I think I have the CyberPower 1500VA/900W version at home. It serves two purposes - it smooths out fluctuations in AC power (including surge protection) to protect what's plugged into it, and it provides a short battery backup on devices without batteries so that you can save your work.
I really love the idea of keeping your London diaries separate from your dissertation videos! I would love to know more about your journaling process and how that factors into your dissertation planning. Thank you for spoiling us with a couple of videos this week! So excited that we get to continue following you on your journey! Thanks for being such a wonderful inspiration!
Waw I am amazed on how you succeed to separate life from PhD, and how you can turn it into 2 amazing blogs this week!! Just waw. That was an amazing piece of content. 😍 I hope you managed to reconstitute the work losses. Tips: in the Excel settings, you can ask the software to do an automatic saving time every X minutes (mine is every 10min for both Word and Excel). Like this worst case you loose 10min of work
@@KaelynGraceApple haha it always happens once before discovering this option - for me it was after loosing a full day of work on my master thesis (with a lot of tears obviously 🥲). Now your database is fully protected for power shortage 🙌🏻
Hey Kaelyn, Maybe an idea to speed up the process of data entry: why would you not scan the back of your book (good quality) and OCR it? Then you can copy-pace from a pdf or txt file and correct the entry instead of typing everything? I feel your pain. Even if it is not a lot of entry to redo, it still feels like labor being flushed down the toilet.
Is there a reason you don’t sift your matcha? Like a textural preference? I love Ippodo too but have always been told to sift it before adding hot water (to clarify, no judgement - just curious).

Thank you so much for this recommendation

Thank you!!! I am enjoying this format so far and I will definitely share more about journaling soon :) it’s a newly instituted practice for me
So very happy for you and LOVE seeing how much you enjoy the beautiful life you've set up. You're a true inspiration to us all!
I can feel the enthusiasm of being in London and can't wait to see more future videos!
🥰 I am loving getting to create content in this inspiring place
What a comfortable boat tour!😄
It was so nice and peaceful!
Thanks for this video. Gave me the push to find my desk again so I can start prepping for September
🥰
Okay, definitely need to hop on the gamification wagon. I feel that I would be really motivated by it too!
I am obsessed with turning everything in my life into data 😅😅
@@KaelynGraceApple I loved the percentage/average you added in this video. Have to schedule a date with Notion tomorrow morning 🤓

Thank you!!!! I managed to find a way to have it auto save now. It was unfortunately just not turned on yet but this incident made me aware of it 😅

Thank you for the suggestion! Part of my method is manual copy - I’ll explain more why in a future video :)
I’m a sucker for alliteration so London Diaries should be renamed London Living ❤️ Either way, loving all the content lately (and always)!
London diaries has better seo but I appreciate the recommendation!
Well, alliterations need at least 3 words to be alliterations

I literally just don’t own one yet 😅
@@KaelynGraceApplehaha Simpler reason - makes sense! 🤣

Thank you!!!!
Just a wannabe influencer
Lol why would I be ashamed of doing something I love?
