British colonial rule was not only a domination on political front but a great challenge in culture and religious domains. Hindus in those days also reviewed the status of the religion and their Hindu brethren closely and responded to the challenge. They were later classified either as revival or reformist movements. It is these efforts which would be discussed this month.
