4 UI Design Tools I Can't Live Without

- In this video I wanna show you my 4 favorite tools I take ui design inspiration from. That involves some animations I enjoy and also some utilities for SVGs and color palettes. I found these super helpful in getting a feel for how animations and my UI should look and feel and I hope you appreciate them as much too.

Fun fact, Emil Kowalski's Sonner and Drawer used in shadcn component library.
💯
Wow😮 Right on time,I was building my portfolio.Thank you josh
Emil's work is fantastic
I use arch btw
I too use arch, btw
I use vim btw
Me 3
Me use abacus 🧮 as my computer 😊
Ubuntu ftw
10/10 video, lots of value packed in 5min
I use vim btw.
Dang, that took more time than it saved me the first day 🤣 but I can see the enormous possibilities (when stopping playing around). The huge gap between my ideas and my ability to realise them has narrowed considerably. Thank you!
Nice micro animations with nice design.. thats why NextUI rocks! ✌
nextUI is alright if you don't know shit about design and need to make something quick and decent looking, but real designers will prefer to build those components themselves, for this case, radixUI primitives are the best option.
Big ty my dude
very useful video 👏
tools are great for those who like modern and aesthetic things on web apps
josh u should try realtimecolors very cool and useful
Amazing 😮
I have a few micro interactions in my website. While I believe they are subtle, I also think they enhance the user experience :)
Do you have more projects in mind like the magic search engine that you did on your secondary channel? They are appreciated, I learn a lot!
Josh is living in my mind. I've been looking for animated svgs. Ty for sharing
Same for me when orms and ui components

ARC FTW
Can you please make a video on how to design a website and it's UI
The vaul component looks nice, but creates so many constraints. And also you have to pay attention on how to use it. For me it was a pain to use it with nextjs.
Breaks the navbar.
@@luca4479 not only that, but it's a pain to work with sticky/fixed elements on the page. But the worst is if you have links inside vaul. It just ruins the history api. For example, if you scrolled Y, and open vaul, click a link and then come back (history.back()) to the previous page, you will be sent to the top of the screen. The reason is because the history api stores your Y position of the previous path, which means, when you open vaul it will set your Y position to 0 (because vaul restrains the size of the body). I like vaul but there are some poor design decisions in there.
Hmm, Let’s rewrite it in Rust!
gg
I use Arc btw
Chrome is a joke at this point
Dude, could you please suggest me any ready to use Next js components like SideBar, Navbar etc. Unfortunately Shadcn, Radix doesn't have the basic SideBars and Navbars.
Its shame even on 2024 we still writing css and html for ui instead of drag and drop.
I wish people would stop relying so heavily on React to build this stuff. The components are cool, but not everyone wants to add react to their project just to use them.
its the most demanded library/framework for jobs rn, nobody would use them in vanilla and other options are Vue, Angular or Svelte, you like those less demanded frameworks? do them yourself lol
