    i am happy with the result of this modification to my angle grinder, i'm not a palm router user but i can see the results are good.
    i turned my angle grinder to a palm router, i wish to add a spring but unfortunately my available springs is so hard that you cant even push them. i hope you enjoy the video, have a nice day :D

    Hello Guys, Before buying "Collet Chuck and Spring" make sure to check the shaft diameter of your angle grinder because most of them are different.

    A routing tip:
    When rounding edges, it's better to put the router plate on the largest side of the work piece (The flat side) rather than the edge. This will give a more consistent cut through all the edge.

    hi when rounding over the edge of timber. run the router on the wide side not the edge. it is more stable and easier to control for the same rounding effect.

    Hullo Sek, Very clever way to use a clapped out grinder rather than throwing it away. Being of the older generation, I had to go and have a wee dram (saying in Scotland for a small whisky) as I just about shit myself when the music started. Never the less you are a talented engineer.

      Would somebody please tell me what for is this stupid music played, instead of
      having the builder explain the steps he is doing and at least, post the measurements, sizes and material used...???????

    • @BrianChristmas
      @BrianChristmas 5 лет назад

      @@jacobmandelblum6644 It might be that he doesn't speak English or he might not feel comfortable recording his voice.
      Calling his music selection 'stupid' can be seen by others as a bit harsh. It can be difficult, as a video content creator, selecting royalty free music to use in videos. He selected something that appealed to him and that he probably felt worked well with the video's content.
      He spent a good portion of his personal time to share his knowledge. Setting up cameras, lighting, and then recording is very time consuming. Building something while trying to maintain cameras is fairly difficult. Adding video editing on top of all that and he has a lot of time invested per video.
      I am definitely not criticizing your comment, you are free to speak your mind, what I am trying to do is highlight how time consuming and difficult it is to create a video and select music that is free to use and flows with the video content.

    Great way to repurpose a tool! But I would just go buy a trim router. I would only do this if I needed a custom tool. For a specific task or job. Or if I were bored & I wanted to practice on some of my. Many craftsmanship skills that I've learned over the years. But no knock on the great work. Especially for being creative enough to figure it out. Awesome Job!
