New to Vegan and was already feeling overwhelmed but then I came across your videos and I just LOVE THEM! You make it so easy and budget friendly and looks yummy! Will attempt to make several of these meals.
This is a psa that everyone needs to go home and make a breakfast crunchwrap. Highly recommend. I use a similar filling with potatoes, peppers, onions and a tostada. Add tofu scramble and some chipotle mayo (Just used to make a great one, or you can make your own with chipotles in adobo and a store bought vegan mayo). I also love adding Tapatío or some other hot sauce as well.
i always do what my mom did with her enchiladas for enchiladas. she microwaved for a very short time (like 12 tortillas at once for 10 seconds and flip 10 more seconds). she dipped them in the sauce. it makes the tortillas perfect for either enchiladas or enchilada casserole!
You guys are the cutest couple ever! I’ve been watching you for years! Jasmine, I love when you sing! Any wedding plans in the near future? I sure hope so!
Such a fun video! I just started watching you guys literally just yesterday and already tonight I made a change in diet. I cannot be fully vegan because of unavoidable health issues, but tonight I went almost entirely plant-based with the exception of a necessary hard-boiled egg added for my dietary needs. Homemade avocado ranch, greens, chickpeas, shredded carrots and sunflower seeds made for one of my best homemade salads ever! Thank you so much for encouraging even those of us who are unable to be completely vegan to be mindful of our consumption. I’m very excited to try out some of your recipes! Unfortunately, I cannot try these exact recipes due to a pepper allergy (even though they look incredible), but I will try modified versions! You two are very inspiring, and I appreciate your content so much.
Great challenge, guys!! I chose Chris' because I'm partial to crunchwrap supremes from taco bell, but Jasmine's was really creative too! I never thought of using instant mashed potatoes to make a cheese sauce.
I know you did this a couple years ago... just going through older videos. I liked this - and call it a tie ;) I really wondered if the mashed potato would work so thats good to know actually.
I absolutely love your challenge videos! As usual, it's hard to choose a winner because both recipes look amazing! It's so nice that both of you are cooking! My husband loves my recipes, but he won't cook unless he's starving :))
I think the crunch wrap wins for me, but that casserole probably would have had me if it wasn’t so dry. Dip the corn tortillas next time and you’d have a winner to me.😁
I think these are fun, and it's totally fine to use pantry/staple items especially since most of those CAN be purchased at the dollar store. There is no sense in double-buying things for the sake of the video especially if you do more of these videos. This was fun, and it reminds me that I should look for good dollar stores in my area. Y'all are great, and this video was enjoyable to watch. It's hard to vote...I feel like this would have been a great collab because Chris's crunchcrap needed something saucy and maybe a dollop of your cheese sauce! #moresauce
You have GREAT dollar stores....a freezer section, no less! I love Mexican flavours, so, really, they're both a win for me. You're right about dipping the tortillas in the sauce beforehand, Jasmine.....that and cheese sauce in the layers would make more casserole-y. I will say that crunchwraps are an excellent idea, too. Yum to both.😃💗😃💗
I love these challenges! Very cool :) I think your rules about the spices/seasoning was fair and that it is okay for you to use the nooch. Idk maybe next, to make it more challenging, only use the spices that are sold at the store (no need to buy them)? And I vote for Jasmines! Even tho both meals looked so delicious! Great job guys 😀
Dollar store challenge?! YESS to this so many more times! Both were great recipes. Chris may have won for convenience and ease but Jasmine won for using that mashed potatoes for the cheese sauce.....duh...I can't believe that never came to me...lol.
What if you do a 10 dollar challenge and everything you buy you have to use. Maybe even add a limit to the number of ingredients you must have so you can’t just buy a couple of expensive items. Also, you can’t go above and under 10 dollars. ;-)
Both recipes are mouthwatering but Chris' recipe is something I have never seen so he wins for me! But I will definetly try both! :D Loved the challenge!
Lol, the amount you two snap is hilarious. I think it used to be just Chris but now Jasmine you do it too! P.S Loved this challenge!! Such a great idea since so many low income people shop at the dollar store for food. My vote is Jasmine! Although both look delicious.
Kaylah Lee some have lard, some don’t. brands that have lard in theirs usually offer a vegetarian option, but i have seen cheapo brands that did not have lard or oil. i would have to look at my dollar tree, but those looked really thick, so they may not have anything other than beans, water, seasoning, and preservatives
I seriously kept wondering WHAT THE HECK my cousins were always going to the Dollar store for while they were visiting from out of state(they're ALSO vegans). I had NO idea that ALL of these things were there! 😳 I introduced them to Aldi. Check mate!😏 Also I think nutritional yeast and cacao are fair game! 😂
It shocks me what you have in your dollar store. We do not have fresh, fridge or freezer. And I am gluten free so I literally can only by chips, rice crackers and rice noodles. They used to have natural peanut butter, soy milk and tahini but those are all gone now :(
Look into not using a microwave. When you learn what it does to vegetables, you'll find it no trouble to heat food in a skillet or pot or toaster oven.
Sweet Simple Vegan loves me some nooch too. No disrespect, but I would have voted for Jasmine if she hadn't used nooch! Just feel like it's not really a "pantry item for many people.

Thanks guys i am trying to be vegan. So now watching your videos. There no excuses. Thanks once again.
Definitely want to see more dollar store challenges.
I say it should be a tie! I want to make both of those! Yum!!!

Love the idea of vegan cheap meals from stores that everyone has access too! Such simple idea and vegan!! Loved it.
Good place to shop right now since prices are so high with everything
I know you did this a couple years ago... just going through older videos. I liked this - and call it a tie ;) I really wondered if the mashed potato would work so thats good to know actually.

can’t get over chris’ dance moves lol
you both are so creative! inspires me to get more in the kitchen and experiment and just have fun with it :)
Love this. Such great ideas.
Going for the crunch wrap since I've never had one, but thanks, Jasmine for reminding me to make an enchilada casserole again.
I'm glad to see that even young people can't open things.
I've really been enjoying this style of recipe videos versus the voice overs-it's so much more authentic and real :) Keep up the great work guys!
Thank you, we are glad you like it!
The smoke when yall bumped fists was awesome!!
Thank you!!

What a great idea!! It would have been so bomb together haha maybe when we remake them for the blog we will suggest that!
Living for Chris's shirt! SUPER challenging to pick a winner. I love both!

Your challenge videos are so fun to watch 😂😭❤️ the intro is fire
YASSS I''m so happy you like it!
Enchilada casserole was a staple in my house, too! Definitely one of my favorites!
I really enjoyed watching this challenge! Both recipes look equally yummy.
Both of you are good
I love these challenges! Very cool :) I think your rules about the spices/seasoning was fair and that it is okay for you to use the nooch. That's a great idea!!
That shirt.... wow.
Y'all are such a "cute" couple.Keep up the good work.Where are y'all now in November 2020??
This was so fun to watch! Now I just gotta convince my husband we gotta do this challenge at home, esp considering we already love a good bargain👌
Great challenge. I love my dollar store!
Love $1 store challenges!! Good job guys!
Thanks Michele :)
Dollar store challenge?! YESS to this so many more times! Both were great recipes. Chris may have won for convenience and ease but Jasmine won for using that mashed potatoes for the cheese sauce.....duh...I can't believe that never came to me...lol.
What a fun challenge! Love it!

Two people's dishes are also very convenient!

Crunch rap looks amazing and so easy 😍😍😍

Chris, that's an appropriate shirt for the dollar store...
HAHA
i cant see the cards to vote guys! but loved the challenge, both looked tasty!.☺️
Ahh I am not sure why, it should be there!
Lol, y’all snap a lot. Definitely want to try the crunch wrap 👌🏻
Soooo that's how crunchwraps are made. :O
This video should be called Chris vs. Corn Nuts. LOL.

HAHHA
Both recipes are mouthwatering but Chris' recipe is something I have never seen so he wins for me! But I will definetly try both! :D Loved the challenge!
Thank you so much!
dairy free dry mash potatoes???? what a concept, Australia needs to get on this lol
Haha yes!! They actually had two for sale, one with dairy and one without!
Sweet Simple Vegan I didn’t know that! I thought all Idahoan mashed were non-vegan. That’s great news if I’m ever in a pinch! 😊
Lol, the amount you two snap is hilarious. I think it used to be just Chris but now Jasmine you do it too! P.S Loved this challenge!! Such a great idea since so many low income people shop at the dollar store for food. My vote is Jasmine! Although both look delicious.
I thought canned refried beans weren’t vegan...I may be wrong, don’t quote me on it 😂❤️
Kaylah Lee some have lard, some don’t. brands that have lard in theirs usually offer a vegetarian option, but i have seen cheapo brands that did not have lard or oil. i would have to look at my dollar tree, but those looked really thick, so they may not have anything other than beans, water, seasoning, and preservatives
Chris has such a nice shirt! I love it😻
Chris for the win
I would love that casserole recipe tbh
coming soon!!
Love your challenge videos ❤
yasss so glad you like it!
You should add snap count to this video lol
Natalie Connell 😂 They are so cute with their snaps and claps! 💕
This sounds fun!!
I was wondering why you didn’t layer it with the cheese sauce either 😂
Would’ve made it so much better !
UGHHHH maybe I could have won then haha (this is Jasmine lol)
Recipe please!
What type of oil does you tortilla contain?
Sorry we are not sure, we don't have them anymore :(
I wanna be friends with them
Wtf I didn’t even think this was possible
Dude same!!! We were so shocked when we found so many things there
I seriously kept wondering WHAT THE HECK my cousins were always going to the Dollar store for while they were visiting from out of state(they're ALSO vegans). I had NO idea that ALL of these things were there! 😳 I introduced them to Aldi. Check mate!😏 Also I think nutritional yeast and cacao are fair game! 😂
Que rico se ve!😋
how tall are you Jasmine??
5'1.5"...the half makes a difference lol
Not vegan but I do have nutritional yeast lol df
It shocks me what you have in your dollar store. We do not have fresh, fridge or freezer. And I am gluten free so I literally can only by chips, rice crackers and rice noodles. They used to have natural peanut butter, soy milk and tahini but those are all gone now :(
KAHOOT MUSIC!!!
hahah thanks :)
Loved the challenge video.
The excessive clicking/snapping at the end was displeasing.
🙃
Look into not using a microwave. When you learn what it does to vegetables, you'll find it no trouble to heat food in a skillet or pot or toaster oven.
Female wins!
Voted for Chris. Jasmine used way too many “pantry” items. Oil and sal n pepper should be all you can use.
This Random Family but she could buy all that stuff there. It would be a waste to but more
erykasrpeach I guess but then it would be over $10
erykasrpeach also they dont wel nutritional yeast at the dollar store
Yes we used spices at home because most of them were on sale there! We decide amongst outselves that nooch was okay to use but to each their own! lol
Sweet Simple Vegan loves me some nooch too. No disrespect, but I would have voted for Jasmine if she hadn't used nooch! Just feel like it's not really a "pantry item for many people.
