Like you saw, Mike has a passion for music and dreamed to become a musician one day… but William didn’t believe it was an actual career and wanted him to work on his business like Terrance. He wasn’t as smart, responsible or self-sufficient as him. In a way him and Elizabeth were in the same boat. Both of them wanted love and attention. Sadly that is a real thing my aunt is actually quite neglectful to her kids and so my cousins are growing up learning that negative attention is better than nothing so they consistently do bad things to get that negative attention and it's quite sad
