Creo Parametric - Regeneration Failures (Demo)

- This Creo Parametric tutorial video follows up on the lecture video on Regeneration Failures to provide a practical application of three failures in part mode and two failures in assembly mode.
In the video I apply the following standard three step process:
1. Identify what's failing.
2. Identify why it's failing.
3. Fix the failure.
Some of the failure modes solved in this video include:
* Missing references.
* Pattern dimensions, number of instances, and options.
* Self-intersecting features.
* Missing components.
* Missing External References.
In addition this video shows how to use Intent References to prevent failures from happening in the future.

Your pace to upload a new and informative video virtually daily has been a windfall for me and for several direct and contractor employees at my current place of employment. There are many users of Creo Parametric 5.0 and Windchill 11.1 who need this type of detailed eduction "spoon feed to them". This is a better format than the "brown bag lunch seminars" that I used to offer over the years to interested Pro/ENGINEER users. I have been a Pro/E user and on-site instructor since 1993 with version 8 and I learn something new in most every Creo Parametric channel RUclips video, Dave. Thank you. Your fluid presentations are remarkable. You would make a veteran Toastmaster International public speaker proud.

As formerly working in sustaining, this video is gold! Working in sustaining I had these issues frequently from missing models to missing references. Knowing how to find and resolve these issues saves a lot of frustration! And as you stated sometimes it's best to start from the top of the model tree as this usually resolves errors that propagate from the initial error.As mentioned in the other comments, the draft example using intent references is very useful for revision form changes.
Regarding the draft example, very useful!
For some reason I used to use it only on Rounds.
Rounds, chamfers, and draft are the three I use it on the most. Let me think what other features I use it for...

Hi. I also have regeneration problem, but only 1. When I open the notification centre it doesn't show me the thing which is not regenerated. I think I havedfone the extruded in assembely and it's not showing in the item tree.

Your videos are very helpful for me. I have an "issue" when a regenerate an assembly, this is not an error that you can see on the model tree, is about the dimensions. I am currenlty working an assembly on MBD and each time I press the buttom "regenerate" some dimensions of the combo states self-move (only its position on the screen, its value don't change), do you know what could be causing this?
I will appreciate your feedback and thanks in advanced.
I have heard of this. I can't remember the cause though. It has to do with how the annotations were defined. I recommend filing a ticket with PTC Tech Support.
