Love traveling with you guys. Brings back so many memories of my husband (passed now) when we traveled all through the western 11 states. Utah, Idaho, Iowa, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Texas. I will never forget all the beautiful places we saw. I'm 76 and I was 29 when we did it. What wonderful memories you will have down the road. Our trips were always full of laughter and fun.
How beautiful is this trip?!? You really are living life, checking out the scenes, trying new foods and making memories to last a lifetime. I'm very happy for both of you. The poet and the poem he created is a perfect takeaway of this journey you both have chosen for yourselves. You have to frame it in your new home. Its pretty special. Continue to enjoy the moments 👌🏽🚙🛤🍽🥂
Hey guys, not sure if you’re still traveling through Salt Lake. But this is where I’m from and my sister owns an antique store that you would love! It’s huge with so many special pieces. So if you’re still here, you should go to McLaren’s collectibles antique store in Ogden. Love you guys 🫶
So much fun traveling with you both!! It’s hard to pass up food/treats in new places, however it’s hard to keep stuffing the face 😂. The Capitol was gorgeous!
What a gorgeous building! I love to hear you speak about things that inspire you as I feel the same way about these historic beauties! Our country needs more beauty in architecture instead of the oppressive views of gas stations and billboards. Thanks for your appreciation of history and things with a story! ❤
I love the Utah State Capital! I moved to Utah 4 years ago and I've been to the capital close to a dozen times. My favorite time of year to go is when the cherry blossoms are in bloom! They flank the path around the capital and it's beautiful! I've been to Beljar a few times, it's in Midway, but I've never been to Foundation Goods, I'll have to check it out! The next time you are in Northern Utah, check out Gardner Village in West Jordan, my 2 favorite stores there are Down to Earth Furniture and Home Decor and Layers Bedding. Getting a poem made especially for you is such a cool, unique thing; I will have to look for him in SLC!
I haven’t been to any state capital buildings, but if you haven’t already, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History when you’re in NYC again. Both museums are relatively old and still have a lot their original architectural features.
I drive by here every day on my way to Huntsman Cancer Hospital. I’m going to check out the Cafe. And my friends family used to own the bookstore on 9th and 9th. It would have be so fun to run in to u! Love u guys!
Hi guys. I live in Maryland so I’ve been to the capital in Annapolis which is the first capital ever. I think it was built in 1776. I’ve also been to the U.S. capital in Washington, D.C. both are beautiful and of course full of history. Enjoying your trip. I would love to travel in that area. By the way, I love you two together! Sharing and toasting you meals is just the cutest ❤
So fun watching you explore my city!!! I’m bummed you didn’t get to try Pie Fight because it’s to DIE for. You never get used to everything being closed on Sunday 😢
The Arkansas State Capitol is a really beautiful, highly decorative, marble-heavy building. The only thing is that I probably wouldn’t recommend going there to visit. I moved away in 1989 when I got married, and it’s been my understanding that the city has really had an increase in crime. My sister got married in the capitol in the ‘90s, and her pictures were beautiful. Looking at the marble stairs brought back a horrifying experience that I had in the capitol once-I fell from the top of one of the staircases halfway to the bottom! I had bruises on top of bruises, but I didn’t have anything worse. Talk about embarrassing, though!! I’m like you, Brandy-I love bougie stores; my husband, not so much! lol I love following along with y’all on your journeys and wish you safe driving! ❤️
Arkansas Capitol is very beautiful especially during the Christmas holiday. It has been used in a few films because the dome is similar to the US Capitol.
@@scorpnarExactly right! I remember my parents taking me driving by the capitol at night during the holidays. I was born in ‘59, so this would’ve been mid to late ‘60s. Really, they took me all over downtown and up in the Heights to see the decorations and lights. I remember them being really beautiful. Are you from Arkansas?
I want an older version of a Zak. He's attentive, accommodating, adventurous, and a foodie. Brandy you won the lottery on husband. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.
Utah is one of the few states I haven’t been to and now I must go! ❤️ If you ever make it to Alabama we have a beautiful capital building located in Montgomery and I highly recommend going a few hours south to see the white sandy beaches of the Gulf Shores area!
You’re in a FUN part of SLC!!😃 We live more North, closer to Ogden. The Capitol Bldg. is amazing!!! Utah is the BEEHIVE state. 😁 Most places are closed on Sundays in Utah, unfortunately. Thank you for sharing your excursions!!!🥰
I just came across your channel and want you two to know how cute you both are ❤ Also I have an 💡 for a State Capital to visit. I recommend visiting the State Capital in Des Moines, Iowa. It’s beautiful with a Gold Dome too.
Welcome to Utah where almost nothing is open on Sunday. In case people don’t understand why, it’s because of the LDS/Mormon population in UT. They don’t believe in working or shopping on Sunday so most places are closed.
What are you talking about? I live in Salt Lake City and unless it is a small boutique type store it’s going to be open on Sunday and even those are mostly open.
Yeah, most of Salt Lake City is open on Sundays. Unfortunately, you wanted to go to a few random places that weren’t. But hey, thanks for trying to make it sound like we’re backwards lunatics. Funny how you went on to literally go shopping on 9th and 9th in all those “closed on Sundays” stores. 🙄 BTW, you seriously missed out on a treat by passing up Pie Fight.

You should *totally* frame that custom poem with a thin frame and large white matting! So sweet and special 😊
I love this idea!! 🥰
Thank you for taking us into the capitol building! Absolutely stunning! And you are right…TIMELESS! A great place to take design notes.

The Thai place you walked by on 9th and 9th was the last restaurant we went to with my brother in law before he died. It was really good.

The restaurants you eat at do you ever write written reviews on the location websites?
Charleston, SC has a very pretty capitol and the buildings in downtown date back to the 1700 and 1800's.
I want an older version of a Zak. He's attentive, accommodating, adventurous, and a foodie. Brandy you won the lottery on husband. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.
Yes she is very lucky,he seems very sweet.but visa versa she seems very sweet also, they make a good pair
Des Moines , Iowa has a beautiful state building.
Utah is one of the few states I haven’t been to and now I must go! ❤️ If you ever make it to Alabama we have a beautiful capital building located in Montgomery and I highly recommend going a few hours south to see the white sandy beaches of the Gulf Shores area!
Yeah a lot of businesses in Utah are closed on Sundays, I’m assuming you are filming this on a Sunday!!
Come to CA! We have a beautiful capital here in Sacramento!
You’re in a FUN part of SLC!!😃
We live more North, closer to Ogden.
The Capitol Bldg. is amazing!!!
Utah is the BEEHIVE state. 😁

You could put the poem in a clear frame that’s double sided ❤ so you can see both sides

The poem was lovely.
What did you think of the film, 'It Ends With Us,' Brandy and Zach, please?
Beljar Home is in Miday, Utah beautiful place Midway. I have lived in Salt Lake area for 9 years and never been to the capital.
Oh thank you!! I cannot wait to visit it one day!! 🤗
Yes, Utah is the beehive state not honeycomb lol

Why do you like the UT Capitol? It’s a terrible place where discriminatory laws are passed. It’s a red state with terrible Republicans.
What a stupid thing to say. The building doesn’t pass the laws. 🤪
