I lived in terrace from 2010 until 2022. For 8 years fishing was good, apart from every steelhead angler in the world coming to fish the skeena and it's tributaries. From about 2019 on,it started to go down.Last year they closed the Skeena and it's tributaries to all steelhead angling. The Thompson river is already gone, and has been for years .I have since moved to quesnel for my remaining years, to fish the trout lakes.Once upon a time there were steelhead.
i allways use a short leader with a sink tip, 2-3 ft. tops, so i was surprised when you said you use a 9 to 12 ft leader, would'nt that prevent the fly from sinking?

Use a 9ft leader down to a swivel and weight, if needed, and then a short 2-3ft of Fluoro tippet to the fly to keep the fly in the zone.
That’s the last time rick is doing the netting lol
Lol…yup 🤪
Come on Rick
Lol 😂
Dude back up so your net guy doesn’t have to wade in. First time fishing?
Want to keep the fish wet, so we make sure to wade in with the net.
