Excellent. Thank you. I shot this along side the Whitetail Maxx and the Adapt plus. Although all are fantastic bows and it took me a good while to finalize my decision, I ended up going with the Alaskan XT. It seemed more balanced than the others. It it noticably smoother than the EKO Whitetail and virtually the same as the Single cam Adapt. It is the softest shooter in hand and the quietest of the 3. It was a difficult decision. I am noticing that I am loosing strength in my 50s and the smooth draw and balance attracted me. 20 years ago I may have picked the Maxx. Eager to get busy preparing for this years deer season.

Love your reviews. I appreciate that you stay consistent with how you review different bows over time; that consistently helps me make better decisions.

Mainly axel to axel. Whitetail 31” and Alaskan 33”

The maxx has adjustable let off and does not have the dove or pic rails for integrated accessories

Great review as always! Will the bear paw grip work on these new bows for 2024 ?

Just told the 70# won’t be in until early February at the earliest. They should be nice though.

Might buy one IF they still include the optional limb stop. My Resurgence draws, aims, and shots better with the limb stop. Is it still included? The top cam looks like it's drilled for it.

I haven’t yet seen a review of the surpass, is that one in the works? I’d love a comparison between the 2 of them.

My draw length is 31" so I'm a bit disappointed the newer version only goes to 30"

How does 93 decibels compare to some of the flagship bows?

They should be. I bought the previous Alaskan this summer and it has metal limb pockets

I am excited about this one and the Whitetail Maxx. However, this is not putting up the speed it should be.

Pretty sure it’s only a 60lb. Every other review I’ve seen they have the same numbers and explain they don’t have any 70lb demo bows out there and they won’t be available until December

I bet you’re right. He says it’s 70 in the video but like you said, it appears only 60# is available from what I’ve seen as well.
      Makes sense

Are you certain this bow is 70lbs and not 60lbs? Every single other reviewer has gotten the same fps out of the 60lbs bow. From what bear tells me the 70lbs version only will become available starting in December.
