You can see that Peter had a boost in confidence from last week's Charleston and it's great to see him putting his energy into this dance. However, VW is a deceptively simple number to crack, and one of the best way to really test one's ability to do all those rotations is to maintain in ballroom hold and doing natural turns and reverse turns etc.. There are just one too many breaks in between, which suggested to me Janette must have found Peter unable to get his balance so chose to break hold mid dance once too many times. You can tell he's trying to keep his upper body line parallel, but also you can tell Peter didn't find turning and turning comfortable because his head wasn't displaced from his 'centre' line. There are some skippy gallopy bits from his feet too, which is a no-no in a VW. We are now past the middle of the competition, I am sure the judges would be harsher in their scoring from this week forth. I would say, all in all, he did enough for an eight (must be a crash down from the tens last week, but hey, eight is good)...
+Scd Observer And that is what I hate about the VW routines on DWTS. I thought it was a good effort by Peter, but there was something about his posture that seemed a bit off in hold, and I thought I saw his shoulders come up a bit at one point. I agree that Janette probably thought that Peter was struggling a bit in hold, so she decided to go with American Smooth choreography rather than International Standard.
Lee Cox Oftentimes the first signs of dizziness is that the upper posture (even if they are well controlled normally) goes first. His head should displace away from the centre, but when one is dizzy, the feeling of losing the centre of gravity (thus that's how to stumble) meant he wasn't displacing his head that way, and the overall look is that it's too 'upright' and looks 'wrong'... Same happened with Jamelia's VW last week...
Scd Observer It's odd that in all the years I've done the Viennese Waltz (it's still the go-to social dance among Germans, especially those over 40), I've never once had a problem with dizziness. Maybe I've been doing it wrong all this time! lol
Quite enchanting and entertaining.
I really enjoyed Peter and Janette's lovely romantic Vienesse Waltz routine. I think they're fabulous!
They flowed effortlessly!
HE IS A NATURAL ...

Yes, you are so in tune with the judges! Len thought they weren't in hold enough and it was more of an American Smooth.
+Estella Hunter Oh yeah, it looked more like DWTS routine, so American Smooth observation from Len is apt.

Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Pastor Murray is an Anointed Servant of GOD who teaches the Word of GOD with Authority!!!!!!!
How come Craig didn't mention his spatulistic hands? If it had been any other contestant, he would have done.
Could be better specially the transitions but overall it was a great romantic VW. Well done.

Thought it was okay
I am not too knowledgeable on the Viennese waltz but, don't you need to stay to gether and not seperate?
Whoever was singing missed out a whole verse. Come on its not a hard song to sing
The judges weren't fair with peters scoring 🤔
That seems like the worst dress to do a waltz in.
