Being a member of this Original Broadway Cast, I'm so thrilled this footage exists!! What a treasure to relive these memories! Some of the best times and still some of my best friends!! Thank you for sharing!!
I went to this show Jan 1, 2000 on broadway in NYC. I still have the Playbill and I also have a t shirt that was sold at the theater. It was a great show!
@@KennethMichaelGlass amazing! Love that you saw the show & enjoyed it!! That dance competition scene was so fun for the cast every show lol! There were all kinds of inside stories & antics happening onstage, we had the best times!!!
In 1999 I got to play Tony in my entertainment company’s version of Saturday Night Fever. We performed in hotels in Cyprus. Such a fun show to be a part of and wonderful music! I will always hold fond memories of this! ❤😊
Marvelous, Orfeh's If I can't have you is one of my favorite renditions of any song! The music is so simple, but Orfeh really puts her heart into it! Thank you for this!
This show should come back to Broadway in October. This was my first Broadway show. I saw I saw the show Saturday night fever downtown Detroit it was so good.
I think this must recorded in the previews as Orfeh wore a red dress for If I Can’t Have You in other recordings but it’s a shame that they didn’t do a Broadway Cast Recording cause I’d kill to have a clean recording of her singing it
You are correct. Footage for press reels must be shot about a week or so before opening night so that the reels can be ready for distribution to media in the final days before opening night.
He may have been a replacement or starred in one of the London returns or UK tour. Adam Garcia was the first Tony in London, where this production premiered.
@@auroraspiderwoman5886 OMG because: from seeing THIS-guy in the video I ABSOLUTELY HAD THE THOUGHT HE LOOKS LIKE ADAM GARCIA!! How Fun to discover all of this!! Thank you for the knowledge!! (I heart Adam Garcia from "Bootmen" first &everything else after)
Do you have the full overture? My absolute favorite part and it wasn’t on the cast recording and I cannot find it anywhere. The short part that is played in your video is the first I’ve hears of it since I was at the closing show on 12/31/2000.
Sooo are you telling me Andy Karl, Orfeh and Richard H. Blake were probably together in this musical??? I know Andy Karl later went on to play Tony (and that's how Orfeh and him met!) but I don't know if all three of them were together in this?
Orfeh and Richard H. Blake were in the original, opening-night cast. Andy Karl was a replacement. Blake went on to play Tony in the US national tour (with Aileen Quinn in Orfeh's role).
This is one Broadway musical I never saw. I avoided it because the reviews were just so bad. It actually doesn't look that awful in retrospect, then again we're now lived through the Cher Show and all those other crappy jukebox musicals, so in comparison Fever is looking good.
This video brings back memories of hiding behind my Playbill so the hard-working cast couldn't see me guffawing at the ridiculousness parading in front of us. It was unbearably bad.

Delighted to hear from an original cast member of this production, and glad that this brought back good memories.

Orfeh is an absolute star!!! Also this musical looks so fun, the choreography is stunning
This musical looks absolutely like so much fun!

Never heard of this show and I’m already loving it.
it was a great jukebox musical. it dissevered a cast album

Orfeh kills every song she sings! Love her rendition of “If I Can’t Have You”.

Holy crap, I never realized how gigantic that cast was.
Couldn't this be a one woman show where Orfeh sings every song?
Makes me realize how great John Travolta was
I only discovered the show existed from searching all things 'Sebastien Torkia' --he must have done the UK version, i don't know where it started

I love me some Orfeh.
I saw this live in 99, I remember the couple from Puerto Rico was unbelieveable - is that dance available on video?

so cute
Excuse me, I know this isn't relevant to this video but I wondered where did you get the footage of 2014 Heathers? (DVD or streaming)
Would anyone happen to have a bootleg video of the entire show??
