When you can walk better, get a bicycle and work on strengthening your knee. I know from first hand account that a dislocated knee hurts like hell.

@@markbremmer8642 Oh yeah, I can concur. I twisted my knee hard enough a couple years ago I tore a tendon and some cartilage. It was like numbness for a few seconds and as I tried to hop back to a good place to sit, it just started to hurt worse and worse until I just blanked myself out to let the shock fade, and from there my friends got me some ice to put around it, had to elevate it as well. Then later I had to visit a chiropractor several times over a couple months to check up on it and do physio to get it bending straight and painlessly again. It sucks, for real. At least I had a sick looking steel cane ready just for an injury like that, that thing is a legit combat cane, for real, I still got it XD
Edit: Unfortunately, over two years later, that knee softly clicks every so often when it never used to, so this kind of damage never truly heals, its either get it very close to fixed without cutting it open, or fix it completely with surgery and have scars while running the risk of damaging something else while also paying hand over fist for the operation. That also sucks, so I went with the chiropractic option which was covered under my health insurance :D
@@Avetho well I did mine when I was 15. Twisted it out of socket in a shoe store and went to the hospital by ambulance. Had one surgery at 19 so I could get into the Army. Didn't happen, could not pass physical because of my knee, and my right foot from a mower accident when I was 6. I still have times when it wants to give. But I stop for a minute and go again.
I've blown my cruciate 2wice and my miniscous 1nce, after multiple surgeries my knee is pretty good now but it still gets sore when it gets cold
I'm sure walking 15,000 steps the next day was a great idea 😂

Hey man, I haven't watched the whole video yet but did you dislocate your knee or knee cap? Its a pretty big difference and while both are serious if it was your entire knee I would consider going to the doctor. I have suffered many knee cap dislocations myself and actually just had surgery to fix the torn ligament, but a dislocated knee can be much more serious. This is especially important when you think about your future and growing old while staying out of pain. Just wanted to put this message out there so you make sure to take care of yourself. Knee injuries are no joke.

I would consider going to dr. I destroyed my knee playing football with a few buds many years back and i ended up with every tendon and ligament in my knee destroyed and torn. All the tissue ripped off the bone and my kneecap was 9 inches out of place. And my leg was rotated 60 degrees out. Surgery and 3 pins later they made a new mpfl from a section of my hamstrings that they removed and reshaped into a ligament
Pre-op i dealt with daily dislocations and muscle rollouts that were extremely painful

Had a buddy in school whose patella dislocated during practice, the screams of pain he made and the noise it made when they pushed it back in place still haunt me to this day.

I had a mate in my team snap his femur while we were playing rugby. Damn thing snapped properly, sounded almost like a gunshot followed by his scream, was something I'll never forget.
Happened to me while pitching. I don’t recommend trying it.

Hopefully you get the knee checked by a doc. Soft tissue damage can haunt you and it's surprising easy to get partial tears or hyperextentions.

Dislocated my knee a couple of weeks back, horrific feeling to put it back in but I'm on the mend now. All the best with yours, fingers crossed it heals nice and quick

Had a great time at my first cleetus and cars. Needed more bleachers at the burnout pit was my only complaint. Couldn’t see anything standing five people deep around it. Hopefully that will be fixed when it’s at the freedom factory in April. Praying for quick healing for you cooper and parker

Man i know the pain of dislocating your knees, I've done it more than a handful of times and i can agree that it's one of the absolute worst pains you can imagine. It's so bad that you want to throw your guts up. Be safe.

Have that examined by a joint specialist if you can. In the early '90s I dislocated both knees in two separate mountain biking wrecks and I never sought attention. At 52 years old I still get around fine, even put big stress on my knees, but they are often painful. Moreover I pay undue attention to how I move knowing that my knees were neglected.

It'll be sore for upto a week
I'd reccomend wearing that knee brace for a while, as it is going to be weak and prone to further injury/dislocation.
Also would advise getting an MRI to make sure you have no tears to a ligament/tendon/muscle.

Coop keep your head up! I dislocated my knee 7 times and it never gets easier and I just got surgery to preventing it from popping out of place 2 weeks ago! do physical therapy it helps so much keeping your knee stable if you do need surgery!

I know people that had knees totally fucked up by a dog doing that, you need to get it fully checked because tendons do not heal unless treated. Odds are its got damage which could mean its likely to occur again so knee brace is probably needed for a few months. Tendons are far worse than any bone damage as regards healing.

I used to dislocate my knee all the time before getting patella realignment. Best advice I can give is keep bending it so it doesn’t lock up. As long as you didn’t tear an mcl you’ll be fine

I have torn ligaments in both of my knees at just 21 years old, I know the pain brother! Keep that ice on it and whenever it gives you ANY issues you need to GET OFF OF IT! Wishing a speedy recovery and be careful with your knees boys!

I feel your pain brother, popped mine out twice this year. Same knee. Even had my dog come running full sprint and dive into it. Dropped like a damn rock.

As someone that has had MPFL reconstruction of the knee joint i can tell ypu that having to put your kneecap back into place yourself sucks. My kneecap was 9inches out of place, i tore all the tendons and ligaments around my knee joint, ripped the tissue off the bones, destroyed about 80% of the cartilage, and my leg was rotated 60 degrees out of place. After my surgery i now have 3 pins in my knee and a new MPFL (media-patellofemoral ligament) made from a cubic inch of my hamstrings that was removed and reformed into my new ligament.
Was so enjoyable watching Cooper show emotion in this video!
I dislocated my knee once. It then led to me injuring my knee 4-5 more times with 2 surgeries over the span of about 4 years. I definitely feel your pain man!

The sense of relief popping a knee back in is immense.... but also super painful just before.
Did the same thing a couple years ago. Had to keep it up completely straight , no movement for 1 week. But it hurt just to use any muscle at all. But I hope you get back on your feet right away.

Sorry to hear coupe, I dislocated my knee a week ago and ended up tearing my meniscus. Goood timeeesss. Still have to wait until the 10th to be seen for an MRI, gotta love 2020

We have a 180 lb Irish Wolfhound, can you imagine what he would have done to your knee if he ran full force into the side of it? Omg! It would have definitely snapped it completely. Glad you seem to be doing fairly well on the knee Coop!

Ive had my leg do the similar things, twice years separated, both times it was my own body weight, but the difference is mine relocated immediately by itsself
Hope you went to the doc. I'm telling you now, you'll be glad you did. Don't let it become a problem for "Future Cooper." I have issues 20 years later because I'm a stubborn fool. I can barely pick up a cup of coffee with my left hand some days.
Cooper I been battling knee dislocation since I was in high school I'm 30 now I have usually 2 bad cases a year and about 4 close calls a year. Best advice I can give you is try as much as possible to not walk Pigeon footed aka toed in. Also i wear 6" steel toe boot on the regular to prevent ankle rolling which entails knee pressure problems. Crocks are the worst boots and shoes that have the platform as low as possible is ideal. No single strap sandles I noticed that walking toed out has best position also drink lots of water stay hydrated Gatorade is ideal. I am in a huge battle of cannot sit or stand for long periods of time each. I can lift truck axles fridges I never hesitate to move out a friend fix a leaky roof I'm 190lbs 6'2". Watch where you walk be cautious get your knees looked at and x rayed. ASAP you never know each time it happens to me I feel it after for about a month or two. Hopefully what I gone through and combated situations can help you be better your a good guy I feel so I don't mind telling you in depth what I am like cheers
Get better soon ive had that happen multiple times i definitely wouldn't wish it on anyone 2 weeks and u should be walking on it just try to work it a little if u don't use the knee muscles they weaken especially if u wear a brace all the time hope for a speedy recovery

As someone who's had two knee surgeries, you should definitely make a quick pass to the doctor's office for an MRI. Knees are weak and don't like lateral movement very much. Better to get it checked out now than wait for a total replacement when you're older.
I know the pain, Coop. I shattered my tibia in two places back in January. I've been down and out this whole dang year, it's no fun at all

I did the exact same thing with my knee when I was 14, I'm 34 now and its okay 99.9% of the time but then will catch you out and put you on your arse, make sure you get it checked out even if you think its fine you could end up with long lasting damage.
