    I have been using LED light bars since they came onto the market. I personally still think the halogen rotating lights like the Force 3 LP 6000 are more 'eye catching' after using them I would love to try a LED light bar with rotating LED's like this bar. And my first bar lights were TwinSonic's with sealed beams back in '88..

    i had about three years ago sugested to FEd SIG an updated version of the aerodynic LED lightbar with a system like this seems like they are getting closer to that soon rotator aerodynics might make a comeback! and that awesome

    +SIRENNET So sense you could flip flop the rotaters and quadroflare modual could this bar be made to look like the old federal signal ardynac light bars? The one with the flashers on the ends and rotaters in the middle? The ones used on the Dukes of hazzard (Americas show) Also could you show one big enough to fit on a squad car? Like Taurus or crown Vic?

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  9 лет назад

      +Brandon Hess If the Bar is long enough, you could open it up and make some rearrangements to get it similar. We'll be showing larger sizes as we get our hands on them.

    FDNY uses these on the rear of their ladder trucks. Like the ability to change rotator colors.

    Rotary lights still have motors that can wear out. Whelen has them beat with the simulated rotator which uses LED programming to give a flash pattern.

For the current price and help placing an order, please email or call us - info@sirennet.com. Main Phone Number: 503-670-4700 or 888-959-0911.

    The Federal Signal product line rocks!
    Sadly, Sirennet doesn't list all that many items from fedsig. They seem to be partial to the Whelen product line. I order from the 'M.P.S.' for this reason. It's too bad because Sirennet offers Paypal Credit which I prefer, but that's just the way it goes.

    How do you change the lenses if the light bar is already mounted to the roof? hate to have to remove the lightbar just to change the lenses.

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  4 года назад

      To change out the lenses it's just a matter of removing the two end screws that hold the outer most section in place and sliding them out as needed.

    What I don't understand is that, why don't they simply position the LED bulbs into a circle and program them in a way that they light up one after one, giving the "rotating" effect but eliminating the mechanical rotator?

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 лет назад +1

      Manufacturers design and engineering in many differing way's. The style you mentioned exists via Whelen Engineering and their LED Delta light-bar.

    • @siyaoluan1877
      @siyaoluan1877 8 лет назад

      SIRENNET While you're right about they do things in different ways, it's a fact that wear and tear cause mechanical parts to fail, so rotators are inherently less reliable. Whelen's light bar you pointed out achieves or at least is capable to achieve exact same goals with no moving parts. Or maybe Federal Signal developed some proprietary technologies to make rotators resistible to wear and tear...

    • @MarkYager
      @MarkYager 8 лет назад +4

      You need to look into the technology more. The Rotators in this bar are magnetic drive, not a plastic worm gear/hobby motor like older halogen bars. They have a 5 year warranty on the rotating mechanism. As far as the effectiveness of the rotators go, if you put a bunch of LEDs in a group and just sequence them, the light is not NEARLY as bright because you only get 3-4 LEDs facing you at any given time. With the SLR, you get 12 focused into a narrow beam so it is MUCH brighter than any 'sequenced rotator' on the market. The SLR rotator by itself meets Title 13 Table 2 and is the only LED beacon to achieve that.

    • @siyaoluan1877
      @siyaoluan1877 8 лет назад +1

      Mark Yager Thank you for your explanation. It makes much more sense now. I am not against any type of lighting as long as they work out well, just don't want agencies spend tax payers' money on things that don't last of are not effective.

  • @Sparky138

    Is it possible to get this 25" bar configured to have the SLR Rotators in a dual/multi color blue and amber on two different power wires? So if you power one wire you get blue warning then if you power another you get amber warning and have it not flash both colors at the same time. I think the Vision SLR can be configured this way, but I am not sure if the Navigator can be.

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  6 лет назад +1

      You can have them in dual color, positioned on the outer sides of the Navigator. You can set up trigger wires so amber and blue run separate from one another.

      That's not good to hear. Have you taken a look inside to see if the assemblies come loose? Did anything fall on top of the bar that may have pressed in the plastics?

    • @SIRENNET

      The FS Vector light-bars are still commonly seen throughout New York. There configured in Red and White (clear) to the front and then blue filters are added to some of the rear reflector/rotator pod's for the proper rear facing colors.
