Firas should write a book coz i will definitely buy it. Love this guy.
Jorks Family me too. But he is actually working on a audio book. Stay tuned!
@@mediterano0 Serious that's really cool man.
he said he's working on book in philosophyhy
I believe he's working on one
That's what I was thinking.
"Menal toughness to me means seeing the Good in everything no matter what". - Firas Zahabi - Holy shit, that's a good menta tattoo.
That quote stood out to me too.
This idea came to him because he's Muslim. (No offence) I know this because It's the words of Prophet of Islam.
This was said by Marcus Aurelius 2000 years ago
hahah... anybody else notice shane from fight tips in the crowd
yup
Indeed.

Well the camera man made sure everyone noticed
Firas you’re great man may Allah bless you brother

Firas High Performance Habit: Spend one hour in silence when you first wake up.
Surprised to see him on here in the old shows! Saw him on Joe Rogan and he's one of my favorite guest ever! He didn't go into much detail here but I've used his philosophies in my life and I don't even practice MMA. Watch his talks on his RUclips all the time! So good!
The Legendary, Firas Zahabi!
Holy fuck dude just announce him already
Professor Firas. A great mentor and coach.
My god, I really needed this. Got some disappointing news today, but this helped me be just a little more mentally tough.
Such a great thinker
@@suryatej982 I just found out I didn’t get my dream job while being close to burnout at my current job when I wrote this reply. I was in the final round with the three others, so close. Things have improved at my current job for me personally and have a lot to be thankful for outside of work so all in all, things did improve. Thank for replying
Cycle of society:
Tytler said the cycle starts out with a society in bondage. Then it goes in this sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.
Alexander Tytler [was] a Scottish historian who lived at the same time as the American Founding Fathers, [and] described a repeating cycle in history. He had found that societies went through this same cycle again and again, and that the cycle lasted roughly 200 years each time.
Always impressed by Mr Zahabi, always. Also, this host - I genuinely appreciate when the other person involved in the interview says how they're finding something profound, or well articulated, etc. :]
I'm definitely planning on re-watching and taking notes on this one.
Excellent interview - so much gold in this one. Thanks for sharing.
Neil Barker seriously. Such an awesome interview and an amazing sea of wisdom!
Platinum
firas and John Danaher are intriguing and I listen every time I see something new with them. Forget fighting, I love their philosophy!
This guy has so much wisdom to share, so full of positivity.
Firas Zahabi is an incredible human being.
Damn how did I miss this one. Old but gold!
Love Firaz! One of the best teachers of our lifetime.
Firas dropping food for the mind, much needed these days in this posmodern world we live in
What the presenter said about what.makes him happy, this is exactly what makes me happy and I didn't even realise it. This is the best video i have watched so far in my life.
Thank you! I've been searching for IQ episodes and was upset about not being able to find the one with Firas Zahabi. Thanks for posting again. There's value in every second of this one.
You're welcome! Thanks for leaving a comment, I love it when I know people are getting value out of this content!
still so relevant what zahabi is stating about physical work out and its connection to build up a 'healthy' mind (and body) at the 5:29 min mark.
Best!
One of the best interview.. He is 100% correct about u Brother Tom..u hav no idea what service u r providing to d world in a large scale..I almost thought myself as a looser n believed nothings gona work for me..finding u in RUclips ws one of my best discovery rather I started discovering myself.. Imagination great job. Hope life’s been treating you well.
thanks for letting me know it was 2 minutes, was like when you're repeating yourself to hit the word count in an essay
The longest intro ever.
Firas is the best. Love listening to his philosophy on fight, nutrition and training
kimura kano 11:00
Amazing thing about Firas is not his knowledge in philosophy +combat sports, but how he takes all those references and puts them into a context and applies that to real life. We’re all posting some philosophical stuff nowadays but to recognize the global path and the correlations between the elements of life is a real virtue. Props to the other guy as well, it’s not an easy issue to extrapolite Firas ideas to another domain if you’re not a combat sports practitioner. One last word - of course (Brazilian) Jiu-Jitsu changed my life as well and I’m grateful that our paths crossed.
So much knowledge and wisdom this guy has .. absolutely love firas
I come back to this video frequently. I’m 22yo and implementing these principles is surreal, trying to be the best potential everyday
Now that’s an intro; need this guy as a wing man!
This interview is outstanding. Listen 3 times in the last 3 hours. So much to absorb! Thanks Tom
Best interview you did by far !
I enjoy watching Tom's older interviews. I like contrasting them to his newer ones where I can see the incredible improvement in his interviewing skills, from good in the past to becoming a master today. Keep going Tom and thank you so very much for opening our minds to what is possible.
Speechless. Love this interview!!!
Legendary! Thank you guys. This brought me out of my depressed rut.
Firas Zahabi est vraiment un homme très humble.
Love the enthusiasm that you both bring to this word, thank you so very much!
You brought one of the best masters out there. Bravo!
awesome interview, awesome awesome.
hes the most humble influncer out there and this has got to be one of the best talks hes done, taking all his info from the greats of time and quoting rather than making it up and winging it as he goes along, amazing guy
Love this interview!
Wow ... an absolutely fascinating discussion between two very likeable and knowledgeable guys. Thank you for the upload.
Hey! Truly appreciate you posting out these gems of wisdom.
Do share the episode of Inside Quest with Tim Ferriss!
I do have it, but it seems to be only 20 mins long. I think there was originally an other part to it. But I can't seem to find it.
Tom Bilyeu Classics 20 mins will do!
Maryam Shah alright, I'll upload it when I get the time. ;)
Firas views on working out & exercise changed my life
Great guy!
Excellent interview. LOVE FIRAS. OSS !
amazing stuff. Principles that should contextualize the life of all of us, on daily basis.
Shout out to everyone who made it through the TWO AND A HALF MINUTE Gotdamn intro...
ajjajaaj fucking presenter was exited
haahaha
opened like seven additional browser tabs during the introduction
DreamLegendary that was fucking painful
I made it!
His entire mindset is Islam!
If you know... you know!
-Steadfast (In the face of any and all adversity)
-Righteousness (especially when nobody is looking)
-Discipline (to be unceasing in your battle against your base desires)
-Truth (Even as a witness against yourself)
I’m not a combat sports connoisseur it seems to me like Islam is essentially the Jujitsu of religions!
your ego is riveting...fyi such virtues are present in all religions and general rules of conduct any good society should follow...I could insult your comment so easily but I won't...just remember life is bigger than what you know..there is more to the world than what you've seen or heard...you can't make comments that you just made unless you've studied and lived all other religions.. otherwise you're nothing more than a fanatic...and we have fanatics every Sunday for football too
Watching this video a year or two ago made me start training Jiu Jitsu. Thanks. :)
BloopShow bam ... not bad. Blue belt already?
Nope. Still fresh and white (actually turning grey). Broke my arm on the mats and have focused on Judo since then. Get back to Jitz when the arm is healed. :D
Ah man ... tore my acl a few weeks ago so I am also out after three years of bjj. All the best to you. Just part of the deal^^.
Ouch, think that might be worse than a break. I watched videos and went to watch sessions the whole time my arm was in a cast. :) My dad went apeshit, but I never batted an eye. Shit happens when you live life to the fullest.
Great interview
Tom & team, I just wanted to say... great growth - on every episode! I've been watching since the very beginning. I love the format and the bottom of the screen, with definitions and titles, for each portions of the conversation. I know I'll meet you one day! If it's cool, I would love to use an audio clip from this for a new song I'm writing. God bless Quest Team!!

What an intro !!!! :) Love Firas teachings!
Woow, this interview is pure gold. The world needs to hear of people like Firas. Tom’s enthousiasm and positivity really makes my day. You got a new subscriber!
That is also a great interview. Jazak Allah khair for sharing!
this video can save and change someone's life
Tom. Bro... I was *JUST* thinking to myself (July 4th, to be exact):
"It would be *SO* sik if Tom had Firas Zahabi &/or Greg Jackson on his show.."
When you named dropped this episode on your pod cast yesterday I almost frickin' fell haha!
Thank You Sir!
these 2 talk to eachother like theyve had years of being comfortable around eachother.
"what would you do if later this afternoon you were paralyzed" what a beautifully brutal question and firas took it beautifully as well.
as a martial artist and a thinker, this has been a treat!
i love how every response is wow that's so powerfull
Thank you so much!
This interview is Gold🔥🔥💥
AMAZING is one word to describe this interview...I learnt ALOT...thank you...😊😊😊
Amazing discussion
I've been on a kick of self discipline and controlling my mindset and actions I need to finally get around to fixing my body and this laid it plain before me
Perfect introduction
The podcast is just brilliant
iI love this advice and attitude! If the red themed guy would calm down and let the man speak I would greatly appreciate it.
“The life of happiness is enthusiasm” well said.
What a great mind. This definitely opened my mind.
William Brown yes.
Wonderful guys! loved how Firas ended it on enthusiasm, hes 100% right. Think Osho said it beautifully when he said rediscover and become that 10 year old boy you was uncorrupted see the world through that excitement and enthusiasm. dig deep hes there in your sub conscious mind. something along those lines, its better described in The Paradox of Zen.
Very informative, best of luck Both of you Tom and Faraz!!
Tom Bilyeu You are awesome.
Faris is a true master
Kamaru usman said on joe rogan experience about fighting Colby covington in the end of the day to make a perfect dance you need the right partner I know firas for a long time but this is the first time I know about IQ oh my God Tom is amazing his question mixed with his knowledge make this podcast so perfect
10:31 for Shane Fazen cameo
i wish i could like this video 1 million times
Luv you Firas and thank you God bless the Host for having Firas..God bless IQ
God bless Tom for hosting Firas...Go IQ getting one of the biggest successful shows!
I love Tom's entros
Amazing discussion!❤🙏I didn't know that plato says you must first exercise till 30 and then start to learn philosophy wow...
FIGHT TIPS youtube channel dude at 1:44!!!
AChannelification 10:33 too
Love his channel
I was shocked to see him! Back when he had dreadlocks 😂
This is why listening (and not interrupting) is the first thin we have to do. A considerable part of what the person who's being interviewed here is saying it's actually the same of what Ryan Holiday did it at his time.
you have to exploit every ounce of potential you have
The introduction🔥
Awesome!
His parental tip is great.
Love this.
Ayeeee my guy shane fazen in the crowd!🔥
I thought that intro would never end🤣✌
Looking very lean coach!

🥺
How easily i forget blessings.
When i have reached the level of enthusiastic, i forgot i used to live below.
And the only thing i am worried about is my goal and complain about the failure in not achieving it.
Holy crap! He’s from my city wow
We want him back !!!
And another epic episode from Tom with a great human being, thanks a lot.
Firas is on point socially, values and their importance have faded and are not taught anymore.
The quote at 38:00 is actually from General Mattis, current SecDef. Chesty Puller is the most decorated Marine to ever live, though.
Ahhh good ol chesty probably the best posthumas marine recruiter to ever live every marine who's joined on the premises of being a bad ass has attempted to follow in his trail a trail laid by dragging his massive balls from island to island war to war and if you believe the legends all the way into the afterlife
Love love love
I see Firaz, I hit like.
That's Ret Gen "Mad Dog" Mattis 😊
The scary thing about Firas Zahabi is that he does not even look like a dangerous or intimidating man. H e has a pleasant appearance but he is a modern day warrior indeed.
Firas Zahabi:
I am made for combat sports. You are made for ... another thing.
33:20
Zameen Z: Thank you for sharing, brother. That was decent of you.
Hahaha Shane from fight tips in the crowd
