I took some notes from the video, that will help others, inshallah by the will of Allah. 6 Foundations From The Quran By sheikh abu taymiyyah SINS RANKING: Major Shirk > Minor Shirk > Major Sins > Minor Sins 1. At Tawheed, holding on to your faith and your monotheism, the opposite is Al Shirk. Tawheed is to single out Allah in that which is exclusive to him, (Swearing upon anything other than Allah is SHIRK), -- 2 types of shirk: Major Shirk: When you take an act of worship and divert it to other than Allah. Minor Shirk: any sins in the Shar’iah that does not reach the high level of shirk (e.g. to show off in your ‘ibadat/worship) 2. The command of Allah to unite in the religion and prohibition of division, a nation will be destroyed if they split. (In a nutshell: we need to work towards unity and stay away from division) WARNING: this do not justify uniting in falsehood 3. The one who is in charge of a group, even if it a slave, you should obey him. Furthermore, there cannot be 2 persons in charge, only one leader. 4. If garbage is being spread, if nobody stands up, that trash will be justified. Furthermore, be wary of those who pretend to be righteous students of knowledge when in reality, they are misguided. Characteristics of the students of knowledge: ⁃ Calling to tawheed ⁃ Someone who worships allah SWT with his ‘Ilm (Acts upon his knowledge) ⁃ He must perform more worship in private then public (qiyamul layl), firmly grounded ⁃ He must not be easygoing ⁃ Individual known to have studied intensively ⁃ They honor the ‘ulama and respect them. 5. The statement, “Ashaadu anna muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu” means 3 things; ⁃ To believe in what the Messenger SAW came with. ⁃ To be obedient with what Allah has commended you to do. ⁃ To stay away from the things the Prophet warned against or prohibited and criticized. 6. Debunking and rebuking this doubt that shaytan has placed on the people in order to make them leave the religion. Note: You do not need all the best characteristics in order to learn the sunnah and gain ‘Ilm Alhamdulilah if it helped any of you. Please be careful with the last points as I was not fully attentive. Assalamu alaikum!

I don't belive the child will get any sins as he is still under the age of puberty but what I heard is kama tudinu tudan what you do will come back to you so maybe when he will have kids of his own they will treat him like how he spoke to his father and in the end Allah knows best
