Then buns- probably can snag a pack of 8 for $3.. chicken is kinda pricy, a pack of chicken breasts enough to make 8 sandwiches, $10, a bottle of vegetable oil to fry it in- $4, and a small box of corn flakes costs like $2, even though you only need like a handful, it makes up for the other 'provided' ingredients. Ballpark figure $21 ~ +tax for 8 homemade chicken sandwiches. Mcdonalds: each one costs $1.39 x8 = $11.12 This is an example of how Some items not only save you time on preparing and cleaning up, its cheaper to just get the McD. Cheaper by like Half the cost, that's a lot. Now you do have to factor in gas and mileage I suppose, but you'd have to be fair and factor that in for the trip to the store too, wouldn't you? So moot point I guess.

I made my burgers much chunkier than hers so my recipe made 6 burgers. I used about 4 cups of cornflakes for the crumb but had some leftover. I cooked them for 20 minutes in the oven then finished them off by shallow frying for 5 minutes each side. Served with peri mayo and my own pickle mayo. 😋

Try this with a mix of firm tofu, cooked/canned and dried chickpeas and a little dry lentils! Lots of the taste comes from the breading and frying amyway, so this is really easy teansfer to a veggy version! :D

Try this with a mix of firm tofu, cooked/canned and dried chickpeas and a little dry lentils! Lots of the taste comes from the breading and frying amyway, so this is really easy teansfer to a veggy version! :D
