I was a volunteer in the Street World Championship in Rome and the last day of the contest I had to bring Yuto to take the antidoping test and he was very kind and smiling, he even showed me the pics of him in Rome. I think he doesn't talk that much because he's not very good at speaking english idk but overall great guy and most impressive skateboarding I've seen in my entire life.

On Monday ben kadow walks straight into the regional fast food restaurant that I worked at in Connecticut during my last shift asking for ketchup. I said "hold on, ben right???" (Didn't know the proper pronunciation of his name) and he said "yea..." I don't think he is used to being recognized irl to be honest. I shook his hand and told him I loved his skating and he said thanks. Then he walked out that door and it was one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me because wtf was one of my fav skaters doing in Connecticut, let alone the place where I work.
Met him at a spot by wall street in nyc on a skate trip a few years back. He was with william strobeck and sean pablo. Was a quick interaction cause my homies and i didn’t wanna ruin their sesh. he pointed out a frog sticker on my buddies board and said, “nice frog sticker. We got the same one”. Pretty funny lol. The three of them were really nice
started skating a year ago and i go out and have fun. always felt pressure to learn new tricks and what not. you making that comment about not worrying about your progression as much and focus on having fun made me extremly happy and i completly agree
I'm a beginner and I'm still working on my Ollie but my whole goal is to have quality tricks when I get to em and have fun learning the things I wanna learn

Ngl there are a lot of things and references which i didn't understand at all and sound like another language to me, but I'm sorta used to that by now. The fact that Joey Obrien and Alex Wilms don't have a pro model out shows how out of wack the industry is and its super frustrating that I have to do more research to find a board's length than I did on my senior thesis project in college. That's the only reason I still go to the kooky skate shop in my town instead of buying online.

People don't skate tech on big boards?! Lol, couldn't be more wrong about that one. The average size in terms of skateboard has been increased the recent decade or two. A lot of people skate 8.25" or even 8.5" decks actually, even when most beginners start out with 8" decks. That's right, most beginners do not even start out with 7.5" or 7.75" decks anymore unless we're talking small kids. For more of an all-round skater, an 8" deck is actually kind of narrow. I'd say 8.25" or 8.5" decks would be even more popular had the wheelbase been the same as an 8" deck honestly.
I don’t think SP has a bad style per say but it can be a bit much at times with the hunchback roll up and wavy arms. I think the part that bothers me the most is the fact that he will have the same style back lipping a 7 stair rail as he does when doing a fs slappy. Like turn it down a notch
Nike/Adidas put shitty insoles in most their (overpriced) shoes, at least throw in something that’ll offer a little more impact absorption. Vans offers “Pop Cush” insoles as a standard for their pro model silhouettes. Also noting, most of their shoes cost less to purchase. Something ain’t right🤔

Playing Skate 3 helped me with learning trick names a lot also the more tricks you learn irl the more you'll know.
