unlikley, too many greats. civil war only happened 154 years ago. if perhaps you claimed that someone in your family 4-5 generations ago (great great great grandfather) fought in the civil war, then perhaps it would be a believable tale, but 9 generations ago? i doubt it, unless your family has a tradition of popping out a new generation durring puberty.
