    I have a question about this addition modulo that is
    "In worst case if we adding two largest no. i.e. (m-1)+(m-1)=2(m-1)
    If we subtract m from 2(m-1) then result will be "m-2".
    And how can u say that result will be m-1.
    Plz clarify this ....

    In Addition modulo u told dat (a+b)-m if a+b>=m...bt most of the other videos show this is wrong
    According to them the value will be (a+b)%m
    So I m confused

      Both are same u can keep subtracting 'm' from the output till u get value less then 'm'..
      Or you can just divide the output by 'm' and remainder will give the valid value less then 'm'
      But it is better to divide as if output is 100 and modulo is 4 you will have to keep on subtracting m 25 times to get answer 0
      But by diving 100/4 you will directly get answer as 0

    In case of multiplication modulo we get 4 as a inverse of 4 and in case of addition modulo 2 is inverse of itself, we have learned identity is inverse of itself so why don't we call 4 and 2 as identity element?

    Question
    The set under multiplication modulo 10 is not a group. Given below r four possible reasons. Which one of them is false?
    It is not closed?
    2 does not have an inverse?
    3 does not have an inverse?
    8 does not have an inverse?
    Plz explain

      Firstly it is not even an algebraic structure as it does not satisfy the closure property 2×3 = 6 is not a part of the set. If we ignore that and just move to the options
      For 2:- 2 × i = 1, 11, 21... no value of i in this set satisfies this equation. Hence 2 does not have an inverse.
      For 3:- 3 × i = 1, 11, 21... the equations holds good for i = 7 hence inverse of 3 is 7.
      For 8:- 8 × i = 1, 11, 21... no value of i in this set satisfies this equation. Hence 8 does not have an inverse.
      Therefor, the right option is 2nd as it is false because 3 has an inverse = 7.
