I definitely love this intro and the way the orchestra plays... Angelina is even better than what I've heard from her on this song ! It sounds like a jazz club !!! She is absolutely fantastic, she always has been and she is progressing better and better day after day... I agree with the technical comments, we REALLY need to show the quality of Angelina's work ! Her 16 year old version of My Funny Valentine is my favorite song of hers and IMHO her greatest performance .. If I could have requested a song from her Vegas shows it would have been MFV.. I attended the first show and needless to say I was disappointed to learn she performed it for the second show as I would have loved to see it live.. I think this version is closer in feel To the Kaleidoscope RMX version..Her performance here is wonderful..

Moon River is a great song and Andy Williams had the biggest hit with it. He is still my favorite male singer. Angelina also sang My Funny Valentine at age 8-9 live outside on a door step. I seen it a few times.
Oh I just love this! My funny Valentine is one of my favorites! She did it so beautifully! Top notch! Bond songs is also perfect for her! I’m blown away what range she has. I guess why she chose those songs she did in Vegas, is that most people know these songs. It’s a way to be seen and heard outside The Angels. I’m hoping for and I know she would do a pure old fashioned Jazz album further on. 🙏👌💎💫❤️
I am so glad you at least got to see one of her shows that night. And so far, a lot of footage and great audio is emerging. Thank you Chris, for your effort to capture the best possible audio and video! To experience Angelina live is a must for the above average Angelina fan for sure. It will probably be easier to get to these shows in future, when her shows will be more frequent and maybe at different parts of the world.
Chris, I'm so sorry that we didn't meet in Vegas, let's make it a point to rectify that at the next AJ concert. I did get to meet with multiple luminary members of the Angelic community, however. Andy Schnell graciously invited me to dinner with Marybeth and Alan Epstein, prior to the first show. At that dinner I received a letter penned by Andy and Ron Raskin and was asked to personally place the letter in Ms. Jordan's hands, which I did at the meet and greet after the last show. One other interaction of note, among so many, was with Robert Palmer, an emotional and heartfelt meeting between two Angels. Chris, I'm so grateful, you and James are collaborating, two of the best editors and sound men out there. Chris, Thank you for all you do in spreading the message of Love to the world. ♾Rb

@@RichardBourne I bet!!!! So happy for you! There will be 3 or 4 more concerts this year in the US. Each one seems to be different in terms of the musicians, acoustics, etc., but that one in the same room where Elvis sang must be the best so far. At least the super quality videos that James Thiel and Chris Walker are producing together and posting give us a taste for what it must have been like.
That voice just reaches out and grabs you and you can't get away!She slowed this one down and you could hear all the nuances of that incredible voice.I bought a ticket to the 7pm show and about a week later the 9pm show and was so glad that I did!If I'm going to see Angelina I want the maximum that I can get.You and James do incredible work.Thank you.

Great reaction Chris and don't worry, 1 is better than nothing as it was for many of us Europeans. Listening to her in that sala, with those musicians and having her singing just a few meters away must have been a memorable experience. What an amazing and charming girl she always is. Even in this slowed down version with profound vocal softness, she interprets the song with all her wonderful emotional capacity, one could say that Angelina should be listened to with her soul rather than with her ears.💛🧡❤
Chris, thanks for your reaction. I was surprised when Angelina said she would sing "My Funny Valentine" since she didn't at the early show. I was inspired to use my antique phone to record it, then she went right into "Princess of Ruins" so I kept recording. I knew the quality of my videos would be poor but wanted to provide a couple songs to angels around the world, as soon as possible. I recommend everyone watch your videos and those from James Thiel. I truly wish every angel can see her live since she sounds far better live, and you get to meet so many angels.
Thanks Chris! This is one of my favorite songs from her. Not sure why, but it gets me tearing eyed almost every time. I'm looking forward to the next concert. My guess is beginning of summer.

For me, this was by far her best performance of this song, and the band was excellent support. My former best was the antique shop she wandered around in as she sang. I didn't think that it could be improved upon, but she did it here, and she looks so lovely doing it. But Angelina just overwhelms me with the joy she brings to my heart.

The 2 videos that have come out from James have been superb! So happy that you and James are working together to give us the best overall quality of the songs she's done for the Vegas shows. I too wanted to hear a jazz song from her as well and My Funny Valentine was nice to hear. What I personally found interesting for these shows were that she chose to sing songs that are considered favorites by many fans and songs that she did really well when she first did them. It was nice to see Angelina bring a bit of glitz and glamour with her shows. She looked absolutely beautiful in her dresses and overall look. Sara wouldn’t let Angelina perform this version, released on Feb 14 2020, live because she felt it was too sensuous for her at that time. I knew as soon as she turned 18 we’d see a live performance and, voila’, here we have it at the very first chance. I agree with Keith Serafy that Angelina captures the true essence of this song by presenting it in such a sultry, sensual manner. Even the instrumental solo reinforces this attitude the way it’s played. As a man, I find it hard to believe others don’t recognize this.

I highly appriciate this performance. This jazzy place is certainly one of those where Angelina usually grab my heart the most. She sure develop this song in a direction that make me so so exited on where she might go, and what she will give us for the years to come.

Hi, Chris! Thank you for featuring this song. It is certainly one of my favourites. The way she can manipulate her vocal cords to produce any song she feels appropriate leaves me in awe.
I'm not really a fan of this particular song ... but gosh the way Angelina is able to sing it in such an emotional way 😍

I wasn't able to make this concert, but seeing her live in concert is still #1 on my bucket list. If I was able to go, I couldn't decide which show I would have attended. I thought the 2nd show might be better because they could work out any kinks in the 1st show. But then I thought the 1st show might have more energy, since she would probably be exhausted for the 2nd. I probably would have decided on the 1st show & would have missed this, my favorite song of all time. That would have been devastating to miss this, as I would trade Moon River for My Funny Valentine in a minute. I really hope you & James are able to spruce this performance up with better audio/video quality. Btw, you didn't mention her 1st time singing this at a concert when she was 9 yo that is very jazzy. This is the most sultry, sensual version I've ever seen, but vocally I still prefer her 16 yo version which I think is the "Gold Standard" for his classic song. Good luck with your move. As a retired Marine Biology Professor, I could NEVER leave the beach house for the city, as I detest city life & crowds in general. Thanks for all you do for Angelina!

Thanks for posting this one, Chris. It really is her most jazzy song. Seems so natural for her. Even better with a good live band backing her. Were there any others in that mode? Looking forward to seeing more of what you and James Thiel produce. The first two that he's posted so far are spectacular!!
Moon River from the 7pm show was quite jazzy, and a wonderful example of how far she ranges in choosing songs to sing. And of course Feelin’ Good, although I must say this version suffered by comparison to her version at age 10. (And how many artists can you say things like that about? “Well this version was great but when she was 10 she did the best version I’ve ever heard!”)

I recall what one of the judges said after Angelina's rendition of Billie Holiday's Gloomy Sunday. She said she is music... a star. What a prediction. Angelina said she wants to become a superstar before she sang...Isnt she?

I am not hearing the "a" in "in the know, a broken telescope" I only here "in the know, broken telescope". Not only that one but there is no "a" in the line "she told, a goddess with no one to help her" I only hear "she told, goddess with no one to help her". She does not sing the word "the" in the first line " soul, the people didn't care about her" it should be "soul, people didn't care about her" I do not hear her sing the word "to" in the first line of "words that you speak, to the beauty in your point of view" I hear "words that you speak, the beauty in your point of view" but I do hear "to" in the other two lines of the same phrase. Let me know if you hear any others, maybe it should be there in the first but I just can't hear it. I will make the change's on your community page.

I like everything about it except her choice to drop into her lower register to deliver the climax of the song (both times). I prefer her 10-year-old version. There's no doubt she could have belted it out. Not sure why she chose not to do so.
Doing two concerts almost back to back including 38 songs must be taxing on the voice..I noticed a few times she backed off where she might have met rip..protecting her instrument? just a thought.
The ten year old version is vocaly head and shoulders above this imo .
