Thank you for your good tips the only comment on my side would be the music at the back was so distracting and loud: your comments and personality were good enough so it's a pity.

I've been a Flight attendant for 5 years now and I really want to transition to a gate agent "language speaker"... I fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish, Portuguese and English. I am proficient in Korean, (reading and writing) but my Chinese is intermediate and I know that I would pass the Chinese speaking but I would definitely fail the writing and reading portion for it. That really sucks that they care about reading and writing.

I have only one semester of Spanish do you think I could learn enough from Babbel or Rosetta Stone to pass? I know it would take months to learn enough but do you think with those apps it will be enough? I was a flight attendant years ago with a major carrier and have really missed it. Thanks for your time. I just cant seem to get past the VI event with 20 years of exceptional customer service. So I thought trying to get language qualified may help. Thank you in advance for your help.

My language test was a rather quick 10-min phone conversation with the tester after the interview. Your seemed more in-depth. ^_^

I have my language test in a week and even thought it’s my first language and I’ve lived there my whole life, it still scares me haha. I feel like I’ll freeze and forget to breathe.

I’ve been a professional; certified ASL Interpreter for 26 years...do most airlines recognize it?!?

I was asked by both airlines that hired me if I knew ASL, so I think so.
