On those older York boards you can bypass the compressor delay. If you hold the test and reset buttons on the board it’ll let you bypass it. Good stuff!
Dirty filters plus dirty evap coil= low pressure code you cleared when you powered down unit to play with the stat. Always pull up york codes before power down. Good way for a call back due to unit seemingly working normal once powered back on. Like the gloves!!
With a really low discharge temp . cleaning the evaporator coil is the priority . loved to know what the full load amps on the evaporator blower motor . got to check if you made a follow up video . Thanks for showing
When you walked up to the unit, the flash code said low pressure compressor too, and then you reset it and did all this extra work but still have not fixed the actual problem
Sometimes I'll use electrical tape and use that to mark what it is and where it goes. Most manufacturers use a number system with or without a letter as well. Trane is a perfect example. Every wire is black and you absolutely need the wire identification to know, unless you mark it. I just replaced 2 of the 3d scrolls on an intellipak. Everything started up with no issues because i marked the wires and used the diagram to confirm. Mark your contactors too.....helps the next guy or an inexperienced guy out.
Return was around 75 degrees & I didn't notice any error code. The unit never was able to receive an error as the face of the thermostat wasn't on its base to even start the machine. Also, it doesn't look like the low pressure control is working as it had a low back pressure for 410a & kept operating. Thanks for watching!
@treborwhite Thank you for that! I didn't notice that. I believed it was circuit 2 that was running. Found it strange that circuit 2 would come on first instead of circuit 1. The pressure was definitely really low for R410a. I was surprised it was running.
The cutout is 50psi so it likely turned off again after you left since it was running just above 50psi when you were gauged up, given what you’ve found I would be looking for an airflow problem
I need to look up the model but it's between 10-15 tons. What do you mean I may not be able to maintain these in a few years? Is it because R410A is being phased out?
Don’t waste your time the leak is on the condensing unit. They use the aluminum coils at the copper connection. Every single one of these units leaks in the exact same spot. And if it’s not there, it’s under the pressure fitting on the discharge line right at the compressor. It cracks as well due to vibration.
Question the y’all found out why the mini splits are having the same issues it looks like the boards and compressor are going out with the same issues?
I think you should check the refrigerant charge before change the contactor and fix the real problem first and at the end replace the contactor. I am going to give you 2.5 stars.
Thank you for the tip! I need to do a follow-up here. The back pressure is low but the head pressure isn't. Need to spend some time here. Stay tuned for new videos every week!
@treborwhite Thank you! I seen you wrote that in another comment as well. I haven't dealt with much York packaged units so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks for watching!
@@JumpermanTech you can do the back mounting plate as well. So the coil line’s up with the control wires and mounting screws. Make it work for you. Hello pls, rotary compressor and Copeland compressor which is the best?
What was the return temp? And what was the code you cleared when you reset it?

Also, it doesn't look like the low pressure control is working as it had a low back pressure for 410a & kept operating. Thanks for watching!
If you notice in the beginning of the video you had a 6 flash code. That’s a low pressure lockout on circuit #2.
@treborwhite Thank you for that! I didn't notice that. I believed it was circuit 2 that was running. Found it strange that circuit 2 would come on first instead of circuit 1. The pressure was definitely really low for R410a. I was surprised it was running.
@treborwhite OK so the LED on the left that flashed 6 times is flashing a code indicating an issue. Noted👍
The cutout is 50psi so it likely turned off again after you left since it was running just above 50psi when you were gauged up, given what you’ve found I would be looking for an airflow problem

@@JumpermanTech It's New York. You'll never know what the harebrains in office are going to do next. They've already banned gas in new construction.

You can spin the covers around on those contactors, so the specs are right side up 🤟
Also the 6 flash code on the simplicity board was a low pressure lockout on circuit 2.

Definitely need a follow up 👍 Thanks for watching!
Think you were getting an error code too. Why wasn't the other circuit running?
Wow, those old contractors looked burnt.
Oh yeah! I pointed it out to management & they approved the contactor replacements. It was a smart decision for the future 👍
You could of switch the front cover plate to not read them upside down
Thats a good idea. You mean the contactor cover plates correct? Thanks for watching!
